Moot Hall, Elstow

Elstow Abbey was a monastery for Benedictine nuns in Elstow, Bedfordshire, England. It was founded c.1075 by Judith, Countess of Huntingdon, a niece of William the Conqueror, and therefore is classed as a royal foundation.

The Bedford Lunatic Asylum was a mental health facility. It opened in 1812 and closed in 1860.

Bedford St Johns is one of two railway stations in Bedford in Bedfordshire, England, on the Marston Vale Line linking Bletchley and Bedford. It is unstaffed and is operated by London Northwestern Railway. St Johns was Bedford's first station, on the Varsity Line (the original Oxford to Cambridge line). Its role diminished following the closure of that line, leaving it with a truncated route to Bletchley. British Rail closed the original station on 14 May 1984 and diverted services from Bletchley along a new chord line (on which the current St Johns station is now situated) to Bedford Midland station when a new bay platform was opened.

Caldwell Priory was a priory of Canons of the Holy Sepulchre in Bedfordshire, England, from c. 1154 to 1536. It was situated in the south-west of Bedford on the south bank of the River Great Ouse.
