Bedford Cauldwell Walk depot, is an electric multiple unit maintenance depot located on the Midland Main Line in the Cauldwell district of Bedford. A four road maintenance depot opened in 2004 to service trains, and was extended to a fifth road in 2009.

The company also directly owns and manages 13 pubs in France (under the name John Bull Pub Company) and several managed houses in England under the Apostrophe Pubs and Pizza, Pots and Pints brands.Charles Wells sold its Bedford based brewery and most of its beer brands to Marston's in May 2017, for £55 million. Brands sold to them included Young's, Courage and McEwan's beers, along with contract beers, such as Kirin Ichiban and UK distribution rights to Estrella, Erdinger, Founders Brewing Company, Devil's Peak Brewing Company and Small Town Brewery. Charles Wells did, however, retain its Charlie Wells brands.

Bedford railway station (formerly Bedford Midland Road and historically referred to on some signage as Bedford Midland) is the larger of two railway stations in the town of Bedford in Bedfordshire, England. It is on the Midland Main Line from London St Pancras to the East Midlands and the terminus of the Marston Vale line from Bletchley through Bedford St Johns.

Bedford was founded at a ford on the River Great Ouse and is thought to have been the burial place of King Offa of Mercia, who is remembered for building Offa's Dyke on the Welsh border. Bedford Castle was built by Henry I, although it was destroyed in 1224. Bedford was granted borough status in 1166 and has been represented in Parliament since 1265. It is known for its large population of Italian descent.

Bedford St Johns is one of two railway stations in Bedford in Bedfordshire, England, on the Marston Vale Line linking Bletchley and Bedford. It is unstaffed and is operated by London Northwestern Railway. St Johns was Bedford's first station, on the Varsity Line (the original Oxford to Cambridge line). Its role diminished following the closure of that line, leaving it with a truncated route to Bletchley. British Rail closed the original station on 14 May 1984 and diverted services from Bletchley along a new chord line (on which the current St Johns station is now situated) to Bedford Midland station when a new bay platform was opened.

The Bedford Civic Theatre was a theatre located on Horne Lane in the town centre of Bedford, Bedfordshire, England. The theatre operated from 1952 to its closure in 2012. The former theatre building is now used as a Council Customer Service Centre.
