Daubeney Academy (formerly Daubeney Middle School) is an 11–16 coeducational secondary school located in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. It was established in 1972 and is part of the Chiltern Learning Trust.

Kempston Central and East is an electoral ward and area within Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. The boundaries of the ward are approximately the River Great Ouse to the north, the Midland Main Line railway line to the east, Elstow Road to south and Bedford Road to the west. The area used to be a hamlet known as Kempston East End, but was absorbed into the Kempston Urban District in 1896. Today, Kempston Barracks and the Saxon shopping centre (including a Sainsbury's supermarket) are located within the boundaries of the ward. Previously known as Kempston East, the ward's name was changed for the 5th May 2011 local elections and it became Kempston Central and East.

Grange Academy (formerly Grange School) is a coeducational special school located in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. The school accepts pupils between the ages of 5 and 16 years with Moderate Learning Difficulties from all over the Borough of Bedford. The school is currently organised into two departments: The Primary Department covering Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 (ages 5 – 11) The Secondary Department covering Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (ages 11 – 16)In October 2009, Bedford Borough Council launched a consultation on the future of special education provision in the borough. The consultation included options to merge Grange School with the nearby Ridgeway School on the Ridgeway site. Another proposal involved merging the two schools with St John's School to create one special school for the whole of the Borough of Bedford. In January 2010, Bedford Borough Council confirmed its intention to merge Grange School and Ridgeway School on the Ridgeway site in the next few years. A new combined school would be rebuilt to accommodate the broader range of pupils that are planned to attend.However, in May 2012, Grange School submitted an application to become an academy. The application was successful, and the school converted to academy status in March 2013 and was renamed Grange Academy. The school is now independent of Bedford Borough Council control, which will affect the plans for the merger.

Kempston Rovers Football Club is a football club based in Kempston, Bedfordshire, England. Affiliated to the Bedfordshire County Football Association, they are currently members of the Southern League Division One Central and play at Hillgrounds Leisure.
