Y Ffôr is a Welsh village located on the Llŷn Peninsula in the county of Gwynedd.

Bryn Beryl Hospital (Welsh: Ysbyty Bryn Beryl) is a health facility in Pwllheli, Gwynedd, Wales. It is managed by the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board.

Carnguwch is a former civil parish in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. It was abolished in 1934, and incorporated into Pistyll. The parish included 1,179 feet (359 m) high Mynydd Carnguwch.

The 1984 Llŷn Peninsula earthquake struck the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, northwest Wales on Thursday 19 July 1984 at 06:56 UTC (07:56 BST). Measuring 5.4 on the Richter scale, it is the largest onshore earthquake to occur in the UK since instrumental measurements began.The effects were felt throughout Wales, most of England, and parts of Ireland and Scotland. There were many reports of minor damage to chimneys and masonry throughout Wales and England, the biggest concentration of damage being in Liverpool, which is located around 65 miles northeast of the epicentre. Minor injuries were also reported in the areas surrounding the epicentral area, and rockslides occurred at Tremadog in Gwynedd.The 19 July earthquake was followed by many aftershocks in the following months, the largest measuring 4.3 on the Richter scale, which itself was felt as far away as Dublin, in Ireland.

The A499 road is the major road of the Llŷn peninsula in North Wales. Its northern terminus is a roundabout with the A487 trunk road between Llanwnda and Llandwrog (53.0948°N 4.2824°W / 53.0948; -4.2824 (A499 road (northern end))). It then runs south-westerly along the northern coast of the peninsula, through Clynnog Fawr then turns inland crossing the peninsula to meet the southern coast at Pwllheli, it then follows that southern coast to terminate at Abersoch (52.8227°N 4.5054°W / 52.8227; -4.5054 (A499 road (southern end))). The total length is 23.4 miles. At no point is it a trunk road, although the Welsh Assembly has considered upgrading its status.

Llanaelhaearn is a village and community on the Llŷn Peninsula in the county of Gwynedd, Wales. The community includes the larger village of Trefor and has a population of 1,067, increasing to 1,117 at the 2011 Census.

Tre'r Ceiri (Welsh: [treːr ˈkɛiri]) is a hillfort dating back to the Iron Age. The name means 'town of the giants', from cewri, plural of cawr, 'giant'. The settlement is located 450 metres (1,480 ft) above sea level on the slopes of Yr Eifl, a mountain on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, north-western Wales. Evidence suggests the settlement was first built around 200 BC, though most of the archaeological finds date from AD 150–400, showing the site continued as a settlement during the Roman occupation.Tre'r Ceiri is one of the most spectacular ancient monuments in Wales. The settlement is surrounded by stone walls that are largely intact, and which reach up to 4 metres (13 ft) in some places. Within the walls are ruins of about 150 stone houses, which would have had turf roofs. During Roman times, it may have housed up to 400 people. Historian John Davies suggests that because the settlement is so far above sea level, the huts served as habitations for summer shepherds who also had winter dwellings in the lowlands.In modern times it was first brought to popular attention by Thomas Pennant in his Tours of Wales. Its location and importance have attracted visitors for years. The hillfort has recently been the site of conservation work and footpath maintenance. An extensive survey was made in 1956.

Llannor is a village, parish and community located on the Llŷn Peninsula (Welsh: Penrhyn Llŷn) in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. Historically in Caernarfonshire, it lies 1.7 miles (2.8 km) north of Pwllheli and 18.0 miles (29.0 km) south west of Caernarfon. The community includes the villages of Y Ffor, Abererch, Efailnewydd, Llwyndyrys and Rhos-fawr, and had a population of 2,244 in 2010, reducing slightly to 2,145 at the 2011 Census. The medieval church of the Holy Cross was rebuilt by Henry Kennedy in 1855. Later alterations were made by Harold Hughes in 1905. It is a grade II* listed building.

The Trefor Quarry railway was an industrial, 1 ft 11+1⁄2 in (597 mm) narrow-gauge railway connecting the Trefor granite quarry with the pier at Llanaelhaearn on the Llŷn Peninsula.

Yr Eifl, sometimes called the Rivals in English, is a group of hills on the north coast of the Llŷn Peninsula in Gwynedd, Wales. On a clear day, the views from the highest summit reach as far as the Isle of Man, the Wicklow Mountains in Ireland and the Lake District, as well as the entire sweep of Cardigan Bay. The view of Yr Eifl is especially striking from the SW coast of Anglesey, for instance from Ynys Llanddwyn. Ordnance Survey maps show a height of 564 metres, but a recent survey gives the height at 561 metres (1,841 feet).

Llanarmon (English: Garmon's Church) is a small village and former civil parish in the old commote of Eifionydd and Cantref Dunoding in the Welsh county of Gwynedd. The parish was abolished in 1934 and incorporated into Llanystumdwy. The village lies 4 miles (6.4 km) north east of Pwllheli and is close to the village of Llangybi, a holy well and the mountain of Carn Pentrych. A well-preserved 15th-century manor house at Penarth-fawr is maintained by Cadw, and another ancient monument Plas Du (Welsh: Black Place) is a well-preserved, substantial sub-medieval gentry house. It also has important historical associations; it was known as the centre of the Roman Catholic faith in the region and was the home of Thomas Owen, High Sheriff of Caernarfonshire from 1569, who was imprisoned for sheltering missionary priests in the house in 1571. "The village is pleasantly situated in a fertile plain, and the neighbour-hood partakes of the pleasing scenery which prevails in this part of the country. The living is a rectory not in charge, annexed to that of Llangybi, in the archdeaconry of Merioneth, and diocese of Bangor, and in the patronage of the Bishop of Bangor. The church, dedicated to Saint Garmon, is an ancient and spacious structure in good repair : some additional windows have lately been inserted, previously to which alteration the interior was very dark." Trefor is a village on the northern coast of the Llŷn Peninsula, in Gwynedd, Wales. It had a population of 1,067 at the 2021 Census. Trefor is in the Community of Llanaelhaearn, and Llithfaen is nearby. There is a beach in Trefor and also a shop in the village centre. It was in the historic county of Caernarfonshire.
