Carrog railway station

Moel Fferna is a mountain in Denbighshire, Wales and forms part of the Berwyn range. It is the most northern outpost of the range. The summit is covered in deep heather and has a shelter cairn. A trig point was used to mark the summit, but has since been destroyed. To the south is Pen Bwlch Llandrillo, followed by Cadair Bronwen. It is the highest peak in the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

The Deeside and Moelfferna quarries were neighbouring slate quarries, near Glyndyfrdwy in North Wales. They were both operated by the same company throughout their history, and were both connected by the Deeside Tramway to the Llangollen and Corwen Railway.

Glyndyfrdwy railway station (pronounced [ɡlɨnˈdəvrdʊɨ], Glin-duvver-doo-ee) is a former station on the Ruabon to Barmouth line near the village of Glyndyfrdwy in Denbighshire, Wales. It is now a preserved railway station on the Llangollen Railway, being reopened by the heritage railway in 1993.

Glyndyfrdwy (Welsh pronunciation: [ɡlɨnˈdəvrdʊɨ]), or sometimes Glyn Dyfrdwy, is a village in the modern county of Denbighshire, Wales. It is situated on the A5 road halfway between Corwen and Llangollen in the Dee Valley (the river Dee is Afon Dyfrdwy in Welsh).

Bryneglwys is a village and community in Denbighshire, Wales. The village lies to the northeast of Corwen on a hill above a small river, Afon Morwynion, and is situated in the ancient commote of Iâl (Yale). The community covers an area of 9.45 square miles (24.5 km2) and extends to the top of Llantysilio Mountain. It had a population of 369 at the time of the 2011 census, an increase from 344 during the 2001 census.The 2011 census showed 36.0% of the population could speak Welsh, a fall from 50.3% in 2001. The name of the village means "church hill" in English and was first recorded in 1284 with the spelling "Breneglus".A 'community portal' website with village news, views and local information can be found at bryneglwys.co.uk. The village church is dedicated to Saint Tysilio, a Welsh Prince and Bishop, son Brochwel Ysgithrog, a King of Powys of the House of Gwertherion. There has been a church on the site since the early 7th century, but the current building dates from the 15th century and was restored around 1570 and again in 1875.The nearest primary school is Ysgol Dyffryn Iâl in the village of Llandegla. It is a bilingual school under the control of the Church in Wales.The 16th-century historian David Powel came from the village.

Llanelidan is a small village and community in the county of Denbighshire in north-east Wales. The community also includes the hamlet of Rhyd-y-Meudwy. The church, village hall and pub all lie within 200 yards of each other overlooking the village cricket ground and pavilion. Also in the village centre is King George's field, this is land legally protected by the Fields in Trust Charity, and is free for use by anyone. Public space in the village includes the Village Green. This is 3 1/2 acres of registered Village Green Denbighshire Commons Register No. VG12 Ancient and semi natural woodland that is a bluebell wood in the spring. It was allotted to be held IN TRUST for the Community of Llanelidan by the Inclosure Awards of 1861 and is for the enjoyment and recreation of members of the Parish. It lies north west of the village along a footpath towards Coed Pen Y Bryn. St Elidan's Church is a Grade II*-listed building in the community of Llanelidan in Denbighshire, Wales.

Rhyd-y-Marchogion was a farm in Llanelidan, Denbighshire. The farmhouse, attached cartshed, and garden wall as well as the farmyard buildings are Grade II listed buildings. Both the farmhouse and the farmyard buildings have now been converted into two separate homes. The name translates literally as "Ford of the Knights". As the Hesbin river flows alongside some of the farmyard buildings, the name implies that knights on horseback used to cross the river at a shallow point nearby. At one time four roads met near the farm gate, and it is unclear whether there was just one or two fords as the Hesbin now runs under B5429 (road) and it is also possible to walk through the river in another direction, following what is now an abandoned trackway. Nearby is the hamlet of Rhyd-y-Meudwy ("Ford of the Hermit"). William Jones (pen name: Ehedydd Iâl) wrote the popular Welsh hymn, Er nad yw 'nghnawd ond gwellt (Literal translation: Though my flesh is nothing but straw) from under a tree in the orchard of Rhyd-y-Marchogion during a heavy storm of thunder and lightning.

Gwyddelwern is a small village and community of 508 residents, reducing to 500 at the 2011 census, situated approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Corwen in Denbighshire in Wales. Historically the village was part of the Edeyrnion district of Meirionnydd. Edeyrnion was part of the Glyndŵr district of Clwyd from 1974 to 1996, when the area became part of the principal area of Denbighshire. The village straddles the A494 road (trunk road).

Gwyddelwern railway station was a station in Gwyddelwern, Denbighshire, Wales. The station was opened on 1 March 1863, closed to passengers on 2 February 1953 and closed completely on 2 December 1957. Nothing remains of the station today and the site is occupied by a sawmill.

Nantclwyd Hall is a 17th-century Grade II* listed mansion near the village of Llanelidan, Denbighshire, Wales, built by the Parry family, and rebuilt by Eubule Thelwall (c. 1622–95) and his wife Mary Parry, the heiress of the estate.
