The three high schools and three middle schools of the Parma City School District share this venue with Saint Ignatius High School.

Valley Forge High School athletic teams compete in the Great Lakes Conference.In the 2005 Marching Season, Valley Forge Patriot Marching Band became the first band in the Parma City School District to earn the right to attend and perform at the OMEA Marching Band State Finals in Columbus, Ohio. The band performed as a Class AA band. The band was later presented with a commendation for this achievement by the Board of Education for Parma and Parma Heights. On March 1, 2008, Valley Forge High School was the site of a town hall meeting by former President Barack Obama. He spoke to a crowd of 1,300 in the high school's auditorium on topics including the foreclosure crisis and health care.

The cities of Brook Park and Middleburg Heights form most of the western border. The city's population is 20,718 as of the 2010 census.

The eparchy encompasses parishes in Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Ohio, western Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and West Virginia. The Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma is a suffragan eparchy in the ecclesiastical province of the metropolitan Archeparchy of Philadelphia. The eparchy is named for St. Josaphat Kuntsevych, O.S.B.M., who was Eastern Catholic martyred in anti-Catholic violence by Eastern Orthodox following the Union of Brest.

St. Josaphat Ukrainian Catholic Cathedral is a Ukrainian Catholic cathedral located in Parma, Ohio, in the United States. The cathedral grew out of a parochial school which opened in 1951 and a parish erected in 1959. Construction on the cathedral began in 1982, and was completed in 1985. It was dedicated in 1988, the thousand-year anniversary of the arrival of Christianity in Ukraine. The cathedral is the seat for the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Josaphat in Parma, which was erected in 1983 during construction of the building.
