Monument to Admiral Barroso

Paris Square (Portuguese: Praça Paris) is located in the Glória neighborhood, in the Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro. Designed by French urban planner Alfred Agache, it was built on an embankment in 1926 during the administration of Mayor Antônio Prado Júnior. The project reproduced the layout of a typical Parisian garden and included a large number of large almond trees, works of art and sculptures.It originally extended from Rio Branco and Beira Mar avenues to Glória Street, but was reduced to accommodate the Marechal Deodoro da Fonseca Square. During the construction of the subway, the site was completely destroyed. In 1992 it was restored and reopened with railings to ensure its preservation. It is a popular destination for sportspeople and hikers, as the dirt road provides a good base for running. It is policed by the municipal guard and military police during the day and at night.

The Monument to the Dead of World War II (Portuguese: Monumento Nacional aos Mortos da Segunda Guerra Mundial), also the Monument to the Brazilian Soldiers of World War II, commemorates Brazil's participation and losses in the Second World War (WWII). On that date, the network "flipped" to a Brazilian-style CHR format (also known in the country as "popular radio"), retaining the football broadcasts (branded as "Futebol Globo no Rádio" and simulcast with sister network CBN).

The Instituto Histórico e Geográfico (IHGB) (Brazilian Historic and Geographic Institute), founded October 21, 1838, is the oldest and traditional authority to promote research and preservation of historical and geographical, cultural and social sciences in Brazil. Flamengo Park, also known as Aterro do Flamengo, Eduardo Gomes Park, and Aterro do Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes, is the largest public park and recreation area within the city of Rio de Janeiro, in eastern Brazil. The park is located along Guanabara Bay, in the Flamengo district of the city, between Downtown Rio and Copacabana.

Marina da Glória is a marina located in the neighbourhood of Glória in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This venue hosted the sailing events for the 2016 Summer Olympics within the Flamengo Park cluster, from 7 to 19 August 2016. and the 2016 Summer Paralympics. It also hosted the draw procedure for the Qualification for the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

The Carioca Aqueduct (Portuguese: Aqueduto da Carioca) is an aqueduct in the city of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The aqueduct was built in the middle of the 18th century to bring fresh water from the Carioca River to the population of the city. It is a typical example of colonial architecture and engineering. The Carioca Aqueduct is located in the centre of the city, in the Lapa neighbourhood, and is frequently called Arcos da Lapa (Lapa Arches) by Brazilian people. Since the end of the 19th century the aqueduct serves as a bridge for a popular tram that connects the city centre with the Santa Teresa neighbourhood uphill, the Santa Teresa Tramway.

The Catete Palace (Portuguese: Palácio do Catete, IPA: [paˈlasju du kaˈtetʃi]) is an urban mansion in Rio de Janeiro's Flamengo neighborhood. The property stretches from Rua do Catete (Catete Street) to Praia do Flamengo (Flamengo Beach). Construction began in 1858 and ended in 1867. From 1897 to 1960, it was Brazil's presidential palace and the site of Getúlio Vargas' suicide. It now houses the Museu da República (Republic Museum) and a theatre. The Catete underground rail station is adjacent.

Circo Voador (Portuguese for Flying Circus) is a concert venue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Located adjacent to the Carioca Aqueduct in the Lapa neighborhood, it is a large tent-like structure covering the stage and spectator areas, but with open sides. It has weekly concerts by Brazilian bands and artists, with occasional appearances by foreign artists or theme parties. Circo Voador began in Arpoador, the peninsula between Ipanema and Copacabana, when local artists erected a circus tent to display their work. The city eventually granted the land where the venue currently sits as a permanent home.
