The Melbourne International Gateway, colloquially known as The Cheese Stick or Cheesestick, is a giant yellow sculptural work and iconic roadside attraction over the CityLink motorway in the suburb of Parkville of Melbourne, the state capital of Victoria, Australia. The artwork was designed by international architecture firm Denton Corker Marshall and opened in the year 2000, is now considered an iconic landmark. It is situated on the CityLink tollway, the major connection between Melbourne Airport and the Central Business District. The Cheese Stick is a yellow steel beam approximately 70 metres in length and it is accompanied by 39 smaller red beams. It was inspired by the Victorian gold rush in the 1850s, whilst the red beams of the art installation are to represent the wheat industry in the state.

The college was named after its patron saint - Aloysius Gonzaga. In 2020 the School announced that it would become co-ed in 2023, with the first classes of boys to commence that year in Year 7. The full transition to co-ed will be complete by 2028, as they move through the School, allowing for all current classes to be complete remaining girls only.The four houses of the college are McAuley (blue), Fallon (gold), Verdon (green) and Scully (red).

The Melbourne Sports Centre – Parkville, previously known as the State Netball Hockey Centre is a multipurpose sporting facility located in Melbourne, Australia. It is the administrative headquarters for both Netball Victoria and Hockey Victoria and features two outdoor hockey fields and several indoor netball courts, each capable of seating up to 8,000 and 3,050 spectators respectively. National Basketball League club Melbourne United played home matches at the venue in the past, as well as Super Netball team Melbourne Vixens, though both clubs have shifted home matches to larger-capacity arenas. Hockey Club Melbourne of the Hockey One league play home games on the main hockey pitch. The facility, opened on 16 March 2001, is located in Royal Park, Parkville next to the Melbourne Zoo. The facility is run by the State Sport Centres Trust, which operates four other sporting facilities in Melbourne, namely the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre (MSAC), the MSAC Institute of Training (MIT) and Lakeside Stadium.

The building is the seat of the Ukrainian Catholic Eparchy of Saint Peter and Paul of Melbourne (Eparchia Sanctorum Petri and Pauli Melburnensis Ucrainorum) which began as an apostolic exarch in 1958 with the bull "Singularem huius" of Pope Pius XII and was raised to its current status in 1982 through the bull "Christum Iesum" of Pope John Paul II. It is under the pastoral responsibility of Bishop Peter Stasiuk.

Royal Park Psychiatric Hospital, commonly known as Royal Park is a former Receiving House and Psychiatric Hospital located in Parkville. Operating for over 90 years, Royal Park Hospital was the first psychiatric hospital established in Victoria after the Lunacy Act of 1903, and was intended for patients with curable disorders. Built on the north-western edge of the 181 hectare parklands known as Royal Park, Royal Park Hospital along with Royal Melbourne Hospital, Royal Children's Hospital and Mount Royal formed the Parkville Hospital Precinct. Following the hospital's closure in the 1990s, several of the hospital's original buildings have been listed on the Victorian Heritage Register for their historic and architectural values.
