Lutherville station is a Baltimore Light Rail station located in Lutherville, Maryland. Like most suburban stations on the system, it has two side platforms serving the line's two tracks. It opened in 1992 as part of the initial operating segment.

The Shops at Kenilworth is a mall in Towson, Maryland. It has more than 30 stores. The mall opened in 1979 as the Kenilworth Bazaar. The original anchor stores were Stebbins Anderson and Hochschild Kohn's. Other former tenants include an express location of the Maryland Motor Vehicle Administration, which closed on September 23, 2005, in favor of a new location elsewhere in Baltimore County, and a location of European clothing retailer Ulla Popken, which opened in 2000 and has since closed.In 2008, the mall started to undergo a multimillion-dollar facelift. The mall managed to attract new tenants, despite a downturned economy that year.In 2009, the mall celebrated its 30th anniversary, and stated that its retailers were doing well, despite the downturn in the economy.In 2015, the new owners of the mall, Greenberg Gibbons, announced that they plan a massive renovation and expansion of the decades-old mall, including reconfiguration of the current retail space to give the mall street frontage on Kenilworth Drive. The expansion is planned on being completed by the summer of 2017. As part of the process, Stebbins Anderson has downsized to one floor, ultimately planning to occupy only the lower level of its former two-level space. Trader Joe's then plans to move its store from downtown Towson to the upper level in Spring 2017.In 2019, longtime tenant Stebbins Anderson announced that it would be closing its store, which had downsized to a single floor in 2015, following the closure of its Ace Hardware store. On October 25, 2021 a man was fatally shot outside the mall.

Ridgely Middle School is a Blue Ribbon-award-winning middle school that serves students in sixth through eighth grades as part of the Baltimore County Public Schools. This school serves students coming from elementary schools in Lutherville, Timonium, Hampton and Ruxton-Riderwood, Maryland. As of the 2016–17 school year, the school had an enrollment of 1,233 students and ~75 classroom teachers (on a full-time equivalent or "FTE" basis), for a student-teacher ratio of 15.9.

Lutherville Historic District is a national historic district in Lutherville, Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. It is an irregularly shaped urban entity founded in 1852 as a summer resort and suburb of Baltimore City. Single-family dwellings on large lots characterize the community and most of the structures predate World War I, although ranch-type and "colonial" houses have appeared in the past few decades.It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1972.

Prior to 2010 the area was part of the Lutherville-Timonium CDP. The Maryland State Fair is held in Timonium each year near Labor Day on the grounds of the former Timonium Race Course, which is an important site along with Pimlico Race Course in northwest Baltimore and Laurel Park in Prince George's County, along with other former tracks at Bowie and Rosecroft in Maryland thoroughbred horse racing traditions.

Loyola Blakefield is a private Catholic, college preparatory school run by the USA East Province of the Society of Jesus in Towson, Maryland and within the Archdiocese of Baltimore. It was established in 1852 by the Jesuits as an all-boys school for students from Baltimore, Baltimore County, Harford County, Carroll County, Howard County, Anne Arundel County, and Southern Pennsylvania. It enrolls over 900 students in grades six through twelve. The school was originally called Loyola High School when it was established in 1852. The name change occurred when it added a middle school.

The Ruxton-Riderwood train collision occurred on July 4, 1854. At the time, it was one of the deadliest train accident in the United States.

George Washington Carver Center for Arts and Technology, also known just as the Carver Center is a Baltimore County-wide public magnet high school originally established in 1992 as one of three geographically spread technology high schools, (others established earlier in 1970 were Western and Eastern Technical High Schools - [original names]). The Central Technical High School, was located in Towson, the county seat in Baltimore County, Maryland, United States. In any given year, just under 1,000 students attend, and typical class size is just under 20. The high school is primarily known for its eleven "Primes", for which students must apply in order to be accepted to the school. The school is distinguished in many categories, mainly its many art achievements. Students from all of the middle schools throughout Baltimore County, as well as those who were "homeschooled", can apply to attend Carver Center, although it may be much farther from their houses and communities than their home regional/neighborhood high school. Admission is based on a combination of an audition and a lottery.
