Rocklands is a civil parish in the English county of Norfolk which encompasses the villages of Rockland All Saints and Rockland St Peter. It covers an area of 10.97 km2 (4.24 sq mi) and had a population of 702 in 282 households at the 2001 census, increasing to a population of 722 in 279 households at the 2011 Census. For the purposes of local government, it falls within the district of Breckland.

Shropham Hall is an early Georgian country house; it was completed by 1729 for John Barker, later High Sheriff of Norfolk. The village is listed in the Domesday Book under the name Scerpham. Historically the hundred of Shropham included many further parishes.

Scoulton is a small village and civil parish in the county of Norfolk, England, situated 16 miles (26 km) west of the city of Norwich and 21 miles (34 km) north-north-east of Thetford. The villages name means 'Skuli's farm/settlement' Scoulton lies on the main road between Norwich and the market town of Watton. Increasingly a dormitory for workers in Norwich's insurance and other service industries, it was traditionally agricultural, relying particularly on the production of sugar beet and on pig farming. It has a fine, partially thatched Saxon church. The civil parish has an area of 9.02 km2 (3.48 sq mi) and in 2011 had a population of 246 in 99 households. The population is split between two main areas of settlement and a number of small, isolated farms. For the purposes of local government, the parish falls within the district of Breckland.Scoulton is known for its artificial and heavily wooded lake or "mere", which was the product of extensive flint quarrying and a breeding ground of the black-headed gull. Large numbers of eggs were harvested in the Middle Ages. The gull colony survived until at least the 1950s. The harvested eggs formed the basis of a now obsolete dish known as Scoulton Pie. The collection of these eggs is depicted on the village sign.

Shropham Hall is an early Georgian country house in Shropham in the county of Norfolk. It was completed by 1729 for John Barker, later High Sheriff of Norfolk. It was later the home of Sir Edward Grogan, 2nd Baronet. The hall is listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

Wayland is an area in the district of Breckland within the English county of Norfolk. It is situated approximately 20 miles west of Norwich. The area is a historic Hundred, and was originally called Wanelunt, or Waneland. It centres on the town of Watton, and encompasses the villages of Ashill, Carbrooke, Caston, Great Cressingham, Great Hockham, Griston, Little Cressingham with Threxton, Merton, Ovington, Saham Toney, Scoulton, Stow Bedon with Breckles, and Thompson. The area is crossed by Peddars Way, a 46-mile footpath that follows the route of a Roman road, and is the location of Wayland Wood, famed as the setting for the Babes in the Wood legend. Scoulton Mere is a 34.2-hectare (85-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest west of Wymondham in Norfolk.The principal ecological interest of this site lies in the swamp, fen and bog flora on islands in the mere and along the shore. The largest island, called Scoulton Heath, is mainly covered in sphagnum moss, and other plants include the nationally rare crested buckler fern.There is no public access to the site.

Swangey Fen, Attleborough is a 48.4-hectare (120-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest south-west of Attleborough in Norfolk. It is part of the Norfolk Valley Fens Special Area of Conservation.Part of this site is spring fed fen with diverse flora, including grass of Parnassus, marsh helleborine and several rare mosses. The fen is surrounded by wet woodland and grassland.Much of this site is private but there is public access to an area formerly managed by the Norfolk Wildlife Trust off Fen Street
