Stuttgart University station (German: Bahnhof Stuttgart Universität) is an underground station on the Stuttgart S-Bahn in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It was opened on 29 September 1985 to serve the development of the Pfaffenwaldring campus of the Stuttgart University in the district of Vaihingen, an Outer District of Stuttgart. It lies on the main line of the S-Bahn. Its neighbouring stations are Stuttgart Schwabstraße and Stuttgart Österfeld (since 1993). The station has been served since its opening by lines S1, S2 and S3.

The Stuttgart Media University or Media University (German: Hochschule der Medien) is a state university of media studies in Stuttgart, Germany, offering nearly 30 accredited bachelor's and master's degree programs within three faculties.

The High Performance Computing Center (HLRS) in Stuttgart, Germany, is a research institute and a supercomputer center. HLRS has currently a flagship installation of a HPE Apollo 9000 system called Hawk 26 PFLOPS peak performance replacing the Cray XC40 system called Hazel Hen, providing ~7,4 PFLOPS peak performance. Additional systems include NEC clusters (NEC SX-ACE systems for testing, NEC Vulcan + Vulcan2 for non-critical computing) and Cray CS-Storm cluster.Known historical configurations:1996 - Cray T3E / 512 + NEC SX-4 2000 - Hitachi SR-8000 + NEC SX-5 / 32M2 2003 - ? Österfeld station is located in the Stuttgart district of Vaihingen in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It was built in 1985 at the junction of the main line of the Stuttgart S-Bahn where it emerges from the Hasenberg tunnel and connects with the Stuttgart–Horb railway, which runs above ground. Attached to the station is a park-and-ride car park with 500 places, which is directly accessible from the A 831 autobahn. The station is otherwise only accessible by foot. Above the station is the STEP business park with numerous offices, including the headquarters of Debitel. Near the station are also the Verein Deutscher Ingenieure building and the Michael Bauer School (a Waldorf school).

Vaihingen station is located on the Stuttgart–Horb railway in the German state of Baden-Württemberg. It is served by regional services and Stuttgart S-Bahn lines S1, S2 and S3. It is also a hub for public transport to the Filder plain.

Founded on 18 March 2011, the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (MPI-IS) is one of the 86 research institutes of the Max Planck Society. With locations in Stuttgart and Tübingen, it combines interdisciplinary research in the growing field of intelligent systems. Intelligent systems are becoming increasingly important in many areas of life – as virtual systems on the Internet or as cyber-physical systems in the physical world. Artificial intelligent systems can be used in a broad range of areas, for instance in autonomous vehicles or to diagnose and fight diseases.

The Max Planck Institute for Solid State Research (German: Max-Planck-Institut für Festkörperforschung) was founded in 1969 and is one of the 82 Max Planck Institutes of the Max Planck Society. It is located on a campus in Stuttgart, together with the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems.

Patch Barracks is a U.S. military installation in Stuttgart, Germany. It is named after U.S. Army General Alexander M. Patch (1889–1945).

Stuttgarter Straßenbahnen AG (SSB) is the principal public transport operating company in the German city of Stuttgart. The SSB is a member of the Verkehrs- und Tarifverbund Stuttgart (VVS), and operates the Stuttgart Stadtbahn, bus lines, a rack railway, and a funicular railway.

The Birkenkopf (German: [ˈbɪʁkŋ̍kɔpf] ) is a prominent hill in Stuttgart, Germany. At an elevation of 511m, is almost 260m higher than city centre. It is in part a Schuttberg, an artificial hill built from the ruins and rubble from World War II. During the war, 53 Allied bombing missions destroyed over 45% of Stuttgart, and nearly the entire city center. Between 1953 and 1957, 1.5 million cubic meters of rubble were cleared and moved to the hill, which resulted in an increase in height of around 40 meters. At the summit there are many recognizable facades from ruined buildings. The locals colloquially call the Birkenkopf "Monte Scherbelino", which roughly translates as "Mount Shards" but in an expression alluding to Italian. One of the pieces of rubble has a plaque attached to it, which says: Dieser Berg nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg aufgetürmt aus den Trümmern der Stadt steht den Opfern zum Gedächtnis den Lebenden zur Mahnung. This translates roughly as: This mountain, after World War II piled up from the ruins of the city, stands as a memorial to the victims and a reminder to the living. From the summit the whole city center can be seen, and on a clear day the view extends to the Swabian Alb, to the Black Forest, and the lowlands of Württemberg. On the summit there is a steel cross, which in 2003 replaced the original 1953 wooden cross. In the summer, early morning services are held here on Sundays.

Alexander M. Patch American High School (also known as "Patch American High School" or "Patch High School") was an English language high school in Germany, on Patch Barracks southwest of Stuttgart, operated by DODEA (formerly known as DoDDS). Opened in 1979, its students were largely military dependents whose sponsors were assigned to units of the Stuttgart Military Community, including Patch Barracks, Robinson Barracks, Panzer Kaserne, and Kelley Barracks. The school was named after United States Army General Alexander McCarrell Patch (1889–1945), the commander of the Seventh Army during World War II. For its first 27 years, it was a secondary school (grades 7–12), and with the 1992 closure of Stuttgart American High School in Pattonville, it became the only DODEA (DoDDS) high school in the Stuttgart area. In the fall of 2006, the school's enrollment was reduced to a four-year high school (grades 9–12) due to projected increasing enrollment and middle schools created at nearby Panzer Kaserne and Robinson Barracks. Following its 36th year of service, PAHS closed in 2015, officially on 30 June. The new Stuttgart High School on Panzer Kaserne, just east of Böblingen, opened that fall and remains the only DoDEA (DoDDS) high school in the Stuttgart area.

The Directional Radio Tower Stuttgart-Möhringen is a 93-metre-high (305 ft) lattice steel tower for directional radio services of the EnBW AG on the area of the substation Stuttgart-Möhringen. The Directional Radio Tower Stuttgart-Möhringen was built in 1975 and is not accessible to the public.
