Brussels-Chapel (French: Gare de Bruxelles-Chapelle, Dutch: Station Brussel-Kapellekerk) is a railway station on the North-South connection in the city of Brussels, Belgium. Despite its city centre location and the busy passing railway line, few trains stop here nowadays. It was opened in 1952, following construction of the North-South connection, between the stations of Brussels-Central and Brussels-South. It is situated in the Marollen district, and takes its name from the neighbouring Chapel Church. Also immediately opposite the station is St John Berchmans College. It is served by some trains of the S1 line of the Brussels Regional Express Network. During the week, one train an hour stops in each direction. There is no service at all later in the evenings or at weekends. The stopping trains generally use platforms 5 and 6, the easternmost pair of tracks.

The chef is Lionel Rigolet, Gault Millau's Belgian Chef of the Year 2007.For 27 years (as of 1979), it was rated with 3 stars by the Michelin Red Guide. In 2006 it was downgraded to two stars after chef and owner Pierre Wynants announced he would step down in favour of his son-in-law Rigolet. The restaurant was founded in 1926 by Georges Cuvelier, originally a coal miner from the Belgian Borinage region. In the 1930s, it moved to its present location, an art nouveau house at Place Rouppe in Brussels, where it obtained its first Michelin star in 1953.

The Marolles (French, French pronunciation: ​[maˈʁɔl]) or Marollen (Dutch, Dutch pronunciation: [maˈrɔlə(n)]) is a popular historic neighbourhood of downtown Brussels, Belgium, situated between the Palace of Justice and Brussels-South railway station. Its inhabitants are called Marolliens. Lying at the heart of Marolles are the Chapel Church and the Place du Jeu de Balle/Vossenplein. Major arteries of the district include the Rue Haute/Hoogstraat, the Rue Blaes/Blaesstraat and the Rue des Tanneurs/Huidevetterstraat. This area is served by Porte de Hal/Hallepoort metro station on lines 2 and 6 of the Brussels Metro. The traditional Brabantian dialect of Brussels (known as Brusselian, and also sometimes referred to as Marols or Marollien) was widely spoken in the Marolles until the 20th century. It still survives among a small minority of inhabitants called Brusseleers (or Brusseleirs), many of them quite bi- and multilingual in French and Dutch.

The Place du Jeu de Balle (French) or Vossenplein (Dutch) is a square located in the heart of the Marolles/Marollen district of the City of Brussels, Belgium. It holds a famous flea market.

The Place Rouppe (French) or Rouppeplein (Dutch) is a square in Brussels, Belgium. It is named in honour of Nicolas-Jean Rouppe (1768–1838), the first mayor of the City of Brussels following the Belgian Revolution of 1830. Rectangular and symmetrical in shape, it is located in the Midi–Lemonnier or Stalingrad Quarter (southern part of the City of Brussels), between the Rue du Midi/Zuidstraat and the Avenue de Stalingrad/Stalingradlaan.

St John Berchmans College (Dutch: Sint-Jan Berchmanscollege) is a Roman Catholic secondary school founded by the Society of Jesus in Brussels. It is situated close to Chapel Church and is named after John Berchmans.

The Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts - École supérieure des Arts de la Ville de Bruxelles (ARBA-ESA), in Dutch Koninklijke Academie voor Schone Kunsten van Brussel, is an art school, established in Brussels, Belgium. It was founded in 1711. Starting from modest beginnings in a single room in the Brussels Town Hall, it has since 1876 been operating from a former convent and orphanage in the Rue du Midi / Zuidstraat, which was converted by the architect Pierre-Victor Jamaer. The school has played an important role in training important local artists.

The Anneessens premetro station is an underground tram station in the municipality of the City of Brussels in the city center of Brussels, Belgium. The station is located under the Anneessens square along the Maurice Lemonnier boulevard. It is on the North-South Axis, a tram tunnel crossing the city center from the Brussels-North railway station to the Albert premetro station. Tram routes 3 and 4, as well as evening routes 31, 32 and 33 stop at this station.

The Poelaert Elevators (French: Ascenseurs Poelaert; Dutch: Poelaertliften), in popular language Elevators of the Marolles (French: Ascenseurs des Marolles; Dutch: Liften van de Marollen) is a public elevator in the Marollen quarter of Brussels. They connect the lower and upper town at Brueghel the Elder Square (French: Square Breughel l'Ancien; Dutch: Breughel de Oudeplein) with Poelaert Square (French: Place Poelaert; Dutch: Poelaertplein). It is in the vicinity of the Palace of Justice. The elevator consists of two independent elevators, hence the plural sometimes used for its name, 'elevators' (French: ascenseurs; Dutch: liften).

The Church of Our Lady of the Chapel (French: Église Notre-Dame-de-la-Chapelle, Dutch: Onze-Lieve-Vrouw-ter-Kapellekerk), or the Chapel Church (French: Église de la Chapelle, Dutch: Kapellekerk), is a Roman Catholic church located on the Place de la Chapelle/Kapelleplein in the Marolles/Marollen district of Brussels, Belgium. This site is served by Brussels-Chapel railway station.

The Place Anneessens (French) or Anneessensplein (Dutch) is a square in Brussels, Belgium. It is named in honour of François Anneessens, dean of the Nation of St. Christopher (one of the Guilds of Brussels), who was beheaded on the Grand Place (Brussels' main square) during a period of uprisings within the Austrian Netherlands.The square is located halfway down the Boulevard Maurice Lemonnier/Maurice Lemonnierlaan, in the Midi–Lemonnier or Stalingrad Quarter (southern part of the City of Brussels). It is served by the premetro (underground tram) station Anneessens on lines 3 and 4.

Het Goudblommeke in Papier (Dutch; "The Paper Marigold") or La Fleur en Papier doré (French; "The Gilt-Paper Flower") is a historic café/brasserie located at 53–55, rue des Alexiens/Cellebroersstraat in Brussels, Belgium. Established in 1944, it is the oldest establishment of its kind still in operation in the City of Brussels, and the second oldest in the Brussels-Capital Region. It is known in particular for having been an important venue in Brussels' cultural life, acting as a hub for surrealist artists and the CoBrA movement.
