Tucker County High School is a secondary school located in Hambleton, West Virginia, with approximately 300 students. It is located at 116 Mountain Lion Way, and serves all of Tucker County. The current principal is Alex Cork.

Close Mountain is a summit in West Virginia, in the United States. With an elevation of 2,877 feet (877 m), Close Mountain is the 405th highest summit in the state of West Virginia. Close Mountain derives its name from David Closs, a Scottish settler.

Mountaineer Wind Energy Center is a wind farm on Backbone Mountain in Preston and Tucker counties in the U.S. state of West Virginia. When it came online in December 2002, Mountaineer was the first wind farm in West Virginia, and the largest east of the Mississippi River. Mountaineer Wind Energy Center is owned and operated by Florida Power & Light. Exelon Generation purchases the power produced by Mountaineer and markets it across the Mid-Atlantic region through its partnership with Community Energy, Inc., a leading wind energy marketer in the United States.

Benbush is an unincorporated community and coal town in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States. Benbush is located to the northwest of Thomas along West Virginia Secondary Route 18. The community derives its name from Benjamin Bush, a businessperson in the coal mining industry.

Olson Observation Tower is one of the few remaining fire towers in Monongahela National Forest. Olson is located at the southern end of Backbone Mountain northeast of Parsons in Tucker County, West Virginia. The southern end of Backbone Mountain is the site of West Virginia's first fire tower, originally built by the state in 1922. This tower was later given to Monongahela National Forest, which replaced it in 1963 with the current tower. The current tower is constructed of steel and features 133 steps leading to a cab on top. While the cab is not open to the public, the entire walkway up to the top is accessible. The tower provides 360-degree views of the surrounding area including the Cheat River watershed, Parsons, Blackwater Canyon, Canaan Mountain, Backbone Mountain and the Otter Creek Wilderness. Olson Tower is named after Ernst B. Olson in recognition of 28 years of fire control and conservation program service to Monongahela National Forest.

Douglas is an unincorporated community and coal town on the North Fork Blackwater River in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States. Originally known as Albert, the community's name was changed to Douglas by an official Board on Geographic Names decision in 1965. Its post office, however, continued to use the name Albert.

Blackwater Canyon is a rugged, heavily wooded, eight-mile (13 km) long gorge carved by the Blackwater River in the Allegheny Mountains of eastern West Virginia, USA. For many years, it has been the object of controversy as environmental activists have contended with industrial (power, timber, development) interests over its ultimate status.

Coketon is an unincorporated community and coal town in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States. Coketon lies at the confluence of Snyder Run and the North Fork Blackwater River, south of the town of Thomas.

Pleasant Vale is an unincorporated community in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States.

Pierce is an unincorporated community and coal town in Tucker County, West Virginia, United States. The community was named after one Mr. Pierce, a railroad official.

Davis Coal and Coke Company Administrative Building, also known as Western Maryland Railway Engineering Building and Old Western Maryland Railroad Office, is a historic office building located at Thomas, Tucker County, West Virginia. It was built in 1900 and expanded about in 1903, and is a two-story, red brick office building. The rectangular plan building measures approximately 40 feet by 70 feet. It has a hipped roof with secondary dormer windows. It served as the "field operating office" or "mining headquarters" for Davis Coal and Coke Company from 1900 to 1950. It was then used by Western Maryland Railway until closing in 1982. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.
