Hucknall Aerodrome

No. 16 (Polish) Flying Training School RAF (16 (P) FTS) is a former Royal Air Force flying training school that operated between 1940 and 1946.

Snape Wood is a council estate located in Bulwell Ward at the City of Nottingham. The estate is located 4.4 miles (7 km) from the City Centre, and lies west of Bulwell, north of Hempshill Vale, south of Hucknall and east of Nuthall. At the 2001 census, the estate had a population of 2,937.

Seller's Wood is a Site of Special Scientific Interest on the northern outskirts of Nottingham, England. There are several wildlife ponds within the site - formed out of old clay workings excavated by for use by local brickworks, long since closed. Entrance is from Sellers Wood Drive, Bulwell. There is a circular walk of approximately 30 minutes with distant views and a view of the M1 motorway across farm fields from the northern edge.

Bestwood St. Albans is a former civil parish in the Gedling borough of Nottinghamshire, England. According to the 2001 census it had a population of 4,950. At the time of the 2011 census the population had increased to 5,259. The parish included the Bestwood Village and Bestwood Lodge areas, as well as Warren Hill, Warren Wood, Deer Park and 'The Gardens' on the northern outskirts of the Greater Nottingham conurbation, but not the area of Nottingham itself known as Bestwood. Bestwood St. Albans ceased to exist on 31 March 2018, after which date it was replaced by Bestwood Village parish and St Albans parish.

The current Headteacher are Mrs Dakin and Mrs Gregg. The School is part of a family of schools in the Basford area of Nottingham. The academic attainments have been achieved despite pupils' socio-economic circumstances being unfavourable.

Hucknall Central railway station, originally known as Hucknall Town, was a station in Hucknall on the Great Central Railway's main line from Manchester to London.

The Holgate Academy (formerly Holgate School) is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form with academy status, located in Hucknall, Nottinghamshire, England, a former mining community north of Nottingham. The school's sixth form is part of a collaboration of both the secondary schools in Hucknall, together with Queen Elizabeth's Academy, Mansfield. A carved stone cross (known as a Khatchkar) was placed in the school by the Armenian government as a thank you for the Lord Byron School which was built in Leninakan (now Gyumri) in Armenia following their 1988 earthquake. The carving was replaced in 2004.

The Church of St John the Divine, Bulwell is a parish church in the Church of England. The church is Grade II listed by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport as it is a building of special architectural or historic interest.

The Keuper Waterstones is a geologic formation in England. It preserves ichnofossils of Varanopus aff. curvidactylus, Swinnertonichnus mapperleyensis, Deuterotetrapous plancus, Chirotherium swinnertoni, Microsauropus acutipes and Erpetopus willistoni dating back to the Middle Triassic (Anisian) period.
