Bourn Airfield

Royal Air Force Bourn or more simply RAF Bourn is a former Royal Air Force station located 2 miles (3.2 km) north of Bourn, Cambridgeshire and 6.9 miles (11.1 km) west of Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, England.

Caldecote Meadows is a 9.1-hectare (22-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest in Caldecote in Cambridgeshire.The site is herb-rich calcareous grassland, which was formerly common in the county, but is now rare. It is traditionally managed by hay cutting and grazing, and plants include salad burnet and dropwort.The site is private land with no public access.

Hardwick Wood is a 15.5-hectare (38-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest southwest of Hardwick in Cambridgeshire. It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This medieval wood is now managed by coppicing. It is mainly ash and field maple, while the oldest parts have pedunculate oak with an understorey of hazel and hawthorn, while ground flora include early-purple orchid and yellow archangel. There are birds such as willow warblers, marsh tits and blackcaps.There is access by footpath.

Kingston and Bourn Old Railway or Kingston Amenity Area is a linear 1.9-hectare (4.7-acre) Local Nature Reserve between Kingston and Bourn in Cambridgeshire, England. It is owned and managed by Cambridgeshire County Council.The sides of this old railway bank are woodland, with ash, field maple and oak the main trees, while the top of the bank is unimproved grassland. There is also an area of wetland with mature pollarded willows.There is access from the B1046 road, which runs along its southern boundary.

Since its foundation the clinic has assisted in the conception of more than 10,000 babies. A small stream called Bourn Brook runs through the village, eventually joining the River Cam.

The area is close to Bourn Airfield. Cambourne is the largest settlement in South Cambridgeshire, with a population of 12,350 in the 2021 UK census.

It is managed by the Wildlife Trust for Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Northamptonshire.This site has woodland, lakes, ponds, grassland and an orchard. The lakes and ponds have water voles and great crested newts, and birds include skylarks and corn buntings.The reserve occupies several different areas around Cambourne with a number of entrances.

Bourn Hall Clinic in Bourn, Cambridgeshire, England, is a centre for the treatment of infertility. The original building, Bourn Hall, is about 400 years old. Since becoming a medical centre, it has been greatly extended.

Bourn Castle was in the village of Bourn in Cambridgeshire, 10 miles to the west of Cambridge (grid reference TL322562). It originally consisted of wooden buildings on an earthwork enclosure which was erected by Picot of Cambridge around 1080, which was towards the end of the reign of William the Conqueror. This was burnt down during the reign of Henry III, c.1266. In the early 16th century Bourn Hall was built on part of the site.
