Jersey City 9/11 Memorial

The Katyń Memorial is a bronze statue created by Polish-American sculptor Andrzej Pitynski in dedication to the victims of the 1940 Katyn massacre, in which thousands of Polish Army officers and intellectual leaders who had been interned at Kozielsk or imprisoned at Ostashkov and Starobielsk had been killed by the occupying Soviet People's Commissariat for Internal Affairs, or NKVD. The memorial stands at Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey, United States, near the mouth of the Hudson River. Unveiled in June 1991, the statue depicts a bound and gagged Polish soldier with a bayoneted rifle impaled through his back. The statue stands 34-foot-tall (10-meter) and is atop a granite base containing Katyn soil. Its base also depicts a Polish woman carrying her starving child in memorial to the Polish citizens deported to Siberia that began shortly before the massacre.

Exchange Place is a district of Downtown Jersey City, New Jersey, United States, that is sometimes referred to as "Wall Street West" due to the concentration of financial companies that have offices there. The namesake is a square, about 200 feet long, at the foot of Montgomery Street at the Hudson River. This square was created by landfilling the shore at Paulus Hook, and has been a major transportation hub since the colonial era.

Exchange Place is a station on the Port Authority Trans–Hudson (PATH) rail system in the Paulus Hook neighborhood of Jersey City, Hudson County, New Jersey. The station is on the Newark–World Trade Center line between Newark Penn Station and World Trade Center all week and the Hoboken–World Trade Center line during the day on weekdays to service Hoboken Terminal. Exchange Place provides access to the Jersey City waterfront and a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail, where connections are available to Bayonne and North Bergen. Exchange Place station opened on July 19, 1909 as part of the original opening of the Hudson and Manhattan Railroad between the former Pennsylvania Railroad terminal at Exchange Place and Hudson Terminal. The station headhouse was rebuilt in 1989. Exchange Place station flooded after the September 11 attacks and was closed until June 29, 2003, when it became a temporary terminal. Service returned to World Trade Center on November 23.

Exchange Place is a station on the Hudson–Bergen Light Rail (HBLR) located at Hudson Street, between York and Montgomery Streets, in Jersey City, New Jersey. The station opened on April 22, 2000. There are two tracks, an island platform and a side platform that only serves northbound trains. The station is adjacent to the PATH station of the same name. In 2017, the platforms at the station were extended by 25 feet (7.6 m) to their current length of 190 feet (58 m). The work was done to accommodate new "extended" cars that were introduced to ease overcrowding during peak periods of ridership.

The Pennsylvania Railroad Station was the intermodal passenger terminal for the Pennsylvania Railroad's (PRR) vast holdings on the Hudson River and Upper New York Bay in Jersey City, New Jersey. By the 1920s the station was called Exchange Place. The rail terminal and its ferry slips were the main New York City station for the railroad until the opening in 1910 of New York Pennsylvania Station, made possible by the construction of the North River Tunnels. It was one of the busiest stations in the world for much of the 19th century. The terminal was on Paulus Hook, which in 1812 became the landing of the first steam ferry service in the world, and to which rail service began in 1834. Train service to the station ended in November 1961 and demolition of the complex was completed in 1963. Part of the former terminal complex is now the PATH system's Exchange Place Station while the Harborside Financial Center was built upon part of the old site. The station was one of five passenger railroad terminals on the western shore of the Hudson River during the 19th and 20th centuries, the others being Weehawken, Hoboken, Pavonia, and Communipaw, with Hoboken being the only station still in use. The PRR referred to the location simply as "Jersey City," and if necessary to distinguish it from other railroads' terminals, as the Pennsylvania station.

30 Hudson Street, also known as Goldman Sachs Tower, is a 781 ft (238 m), 42-story building in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the second tallest building in New Jersey. Completed in 2004, the tower was designed by César Pelli, and was the tallest building in the state for 14 years. It houses offices, a cafeteria, a health unit, and a full-service fitness facility including a physical therapy clinic. The building is in the Exchange Place area close to a PATH station and is accessible by the Hudson-Bergen Light Rail at the Essex Street and Exchange Place stops. The tower sits on the waterfront overlooking the Hudson River and Lower Manhattan and is visible from all five of the New York City boroughs. On a clear day, the building may be visible from Highlands, New Jersey to the south and from Bear Mountain, New York to the north, 40 miles (64 km) away. Originally intended to be a dedicated use building for Goldman Sachs' middle and back office units, lower than projected staffing levels at the bank following the global financial crisis forced Goldman to seek occupancy from other tenants to avoid forgone rental income. Royal Bank of Canada currently shares the space, with plans for other professional service firms to take occupancy as well in the near future. Since 2020, the building also houses the headquarters of Organon International., AIG & Lord Abbett

99 Hudson is a 79-story condominium in Jersey City, New Jersey. It is the tallest building in Jersey City and the state of New Jersey, and the 46th tallest building in the United States. It is also the tallest residential building in the United States outside of Manhattan and Chicago. Developed by China Overseas America (the U.S. arm of the Hong Kong-based company COHL), 99 Hudson is the first residential project in the U.S. for the firm. The 1.4 million square-foot building will include 781 condominium units ranging from studios to three bedrooms.

Hudson Greene is an apartment complex in Jersey City, New Jersey which consists two towers, the East Tower at 77 Hudson Street, which are condominiums, and the West Tower at 70 Greene Street, which are rental apartments. Both have 48 floors and are 500 ft (152m) tall. Construction on the towers began on June 25, 2006, and was completed in 2009 (77 Hudson) and 2010 (70 Greene). The East Tower at 77 Hudson Street has 420 residences and 19,000 square feet (1,800 m2) of street-level retail space. The building was designed by the architectural firm CetraRuddy.Building construction was beset with several problems. A fire on the West Tower in October 2007 delayed construction. Fighting the fire proved difficult due to the stage of construction and status of floors and standpipes. Five months later, in March 2008, a construction worker fell 14 floors to his death.The building is part of a larger building boom in Jersey City's decayed railroad, warehouse and waterfront district which is being rebuilt as large towers like this. It has been described as "one of the most handsome in Jersey City thanks to its blue glass facades, gentle angles and balcony projections on its lower sections." 101 Hudson Street, also known as the Merrill Lynch Building, in the Exchange Place neighborhood of Jersey City, New Jersey, is the seventh-tallest building in Jersey City, and the sixth-tallest in the state of New Jersey. Completed in 1992, it has 42 stories, and reaches a height of 167 meters (548 feet). It was the second tallest building in New Jersey after the Trump Taj Mahal Casino Resort until 30 Hudson Street was completed in 2004. The building was designed by Brennan Beer Gorman / Architects LLP. Merrill Lynch and American International Group are among the tenants. Upper floors have unobstructed views of Manhattan to the east. Some views south include New York Bay and the Statue of Liberty while others include 30 Hudson Street and the two residential high rises of Hudson Greene. The building is host to several nesting sites for Peregrine Falcons. The New Jersey Department of Environmental Projection, Division of Fish & Wildlife, maintains a Jersey City Peregrine Cam at some of the sites on the building.

The Hudson Waterfront is an urban area of northeastern New Jersey along the lower reaches of the Hudson River, the Upper New York Bay and the Kill van Kull. Though the term can specifically mean the shoreline, it is often used to mean the contiguous urban area between the Bayonne Bridge and the George Washington Bridge that is approximately 19 miles (31 km) long. Historically, the region has been known as Bergen Neck, the lower peninsula, and Bergen Hill, lower Hudson Palisades. It has sometimes been called the Gold Coast. The municipalities comprising the Hudson Waterfront are Bayonne, Jersey City, Hoboken, Union City, Weehawken, West New York, Guttenberg and North Bergen in Hudson County and Fairview, Cliffside Park, Edgewater and Fort Lee in Bergen County. To the east, lies the New York City boroughs of Manhattan and Brooklyn, to the south Staten Island, to the west Newark Bay and the New Jersey Meadowlands, and to the north the Northern Valley & Palisades Interstate Park. The Hudson River Waterfront Walkway, which includes sections of the East Coast Greenway, travels along the Hudson River. During the Dutch colonial era, the area was under the jurisdiction of New Amsterdam and known as Bergen. Jersey City and Hoboken in Hudson County are sometimes referred to as the sixth borough, given their proximity and connections by PATH trains. Fort Lee, in Bergen County, opposite Upper Manhattan and connected by the George Washington Bridge, has also been called the sixth borough.

The Colgate Clock is an octagonal clock facing the Hudson River near Exchange Place in Jersey City, New Jersey. It has a diameter of 50 feet (15 m). It is currently situated 1,300 feet (400 m) south of where the headquarters of consumer products conglomerate Colgate-Palmolive used to be sited, before it left the area in 1985.

The Liberty Towers or Liberty View Towers, is an apartment complex in Jersey City, New Jersey. It consists of Liberty Towers West, and Liberty Towers East, both of which were constructed from 2001 to 2003 and have 36 floors. They also have the same height of 380 ft (120 m). The buildings rise from the same podium (base), which is used for parking and also contains a lobby. On top of the podium is a deck with leisure facilities for the tenants. The complex has 648 residential units. They were designed by architect Jordan Gruzen.The S. A. Wald Company Building was demolished to make way for Liberty Towers, which were originally called "Liberty View Towers". The postmodern buildings are made out of masonry, glass, and concrete.The building is part of a building boom in Jersey City's decayed railroad, warehouse and waterfront district, which is being redeveloped as large towers complex. It is in the middle of the reconstructed downtown and has access to trains.
