South Union, South Carolina

Chickasaw Point is a lakeside community and census-designated place (CDP) in Oconee County, South Carolina, United States. It was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census. The population as of 2020 was 718.The CDP is in southern Oconee County, on the northeast shores of Lake Hartwell, a reservoir on the Tugaloo and Savannah rivers. It is bordered to the northeast by the community of South Union. The center of the reservoir is the Georgia state line. Chickasaw Point is 13 miles (21 km) southwest of Seneca and 11 miles (18 km) south of Westminster. It is 5 miles (8 km) northwest of South Carolina Exit 1 on Interstate 85.

Tugaloo State Park is a 393 acre (1.59 km2) state park located on the shore of Lake Hartwell in Franklin County, Georgia. The park features a swimming beach, boat ramps, and ample fishing opportunities, and is located near S.R. 328 north of Lavonia.

Lake Hartwell State Park, formerly known as Lake Hartwell State Recreation Area, is a park located in Oconee County, South Carolina, near the community of Fair Play. The park was created in 1976, the majority on land leased from the United States Army Corps of Engineers with a small portion of land purchased from various private owners.The 680-acre (3 km2) park has 14 miles of shoreline on Lake Hartwell. Two boat ramps provide boaters access to the lake. While the park focuses on fishing and boating, it also has a playground, areas for picnicking, hiking trails and sites for camping. Two cabins are also available for rental throughout the year. An information center features a display of vintage fishing equipment.

West-Oak High School was created by the consolidation of Oakway and Westminster High Schools. The school serves students from approximately one-half of the land area in Oconee County, South Carolina. Both Oakway and Westminster schools had been previously consolidated in the 1960s with Fair Play, and Cleveland community schools. Construction for the new building began in 1982, students entered in the fall of 1983, and the first class graduated in the spring of 1984.

Gumlog is an unincorporated lakeside community and census-designated place in Franklin County, Georgia, United States. The population was 2,146 at the 2010 census.

Fair Play is a census-designated place located in Oconee County in the U.S. state of South Carolina. A small portion of the CDP extends into Anderson County. As of the 2010 census, the population of Fair Play was 687.According to tradition, the name stems from an incident in which a bystander implored two brawling pioneers to "play fair".

Retreat Rosenwald School, also known as the Retreat Colored School, is a historic Rosenwald School located at Westminster, Oconee County, South Carolina. It was built in 1924, and is a one-story, T-shaped, two-teacher community school. The building has three main rooms consisting of two classrooms and an industrial room in the forward-projecting wing. The school closed in 1950. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011.

Parkertown is an unincorporated community in Hart County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The McPhail Angus Farm is a farm at 320 Coyote Trail near Seneca, South Carolina in Oconee County. It is also known as the Tokena Angus Farm. It was named to the National Register of Historic Places as a historic district on November 7, 2007. It was named because of its significance to the transition from a nineteenth-century cotton farm to a twentieth-century, Upstate, cattle farm.

Eastanollee Creek is a stream in the U.S. state of Georgia.According to William Bright, "Eastanollee" may be a name derived from the Cherokee language meaning "shoals". Variant names were "Eastanola Creek", "Eastanolee Creek", "Eastanolla Creek", "Eastinaulee Creek", "Estanola Creek", and "Estanolle Creek".

The Vickery Street Historic District in Lavonia, Georgia is a 23 acres (9.3 ha) historic district which was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1983. The listing included 34 contributing buildings.It includes about four blocks on both sides of Vickery Street and one building on Thomas Street, mostly single-family wood-framed houses. Also included are two churches, one commercial building, and a house built of decorative concrete blocks. The most elaborate is the Queen Anne-style Knox-Maret-Tribble-Roberts Residence, at Vickery and Rainbow Drive. It has a three-story tower with fish-scale shingles and a conical roof, bargeboards, and a porch with decorative elements.

Southern Railway Passenger Station is railway passenger depot built ca. 1885 in Westminster, South Carolina. It is one of the oldest buildings in the community. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1976.
