Mount Helena City Park

Hauser Mansion is a historic house in Helena, Montana, U.S.. It was built in 1885 for Governor Samuel Thomas Hauser. It was designed by the architectural firm Wallace & Thornburg. It was inherited by his daughter, Ellen Hauser Thatcher, in 1913, and subsequently sold to the Roman Catholic Bishop of Helena, John P. Carroll, followed by other bishops. From 1935 to 1969, it was used by the Sisters of Charity of Leavenworth. It was purchased by Governor Tim Babcock in 1969. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since February 12, 1979.

The Young Women's Christian Association is a historic building in Helena, Montana, U.S.. It was built for the local YWCA chapter in 1918, and designed by architect Chester H. Kirk. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since December 27, 1984.

The Christmas Gift Evans House, also known as "Myhre House", is a house built in the Queen Anne and Second Empire styles in 1877 in Helena, Montana, United States, that was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.Named for his birth date, Christmas Gift Evans was born in 1840, in Deerfield in Oneida County, New York. He was known as "Chris". In 1862 he made his first trip west, via Panama to San Francisco, but he returned home after only a year of placer mining. He made his second trip west in April 1864 and settled in Helena in 1865. Along the way he met John B. Sanford, born to a Quaker family in Maine. The two become lifelong friends and business partners. They started out by mining along Ten Mile Creek and Nelson Gulch, then became involved in business activities including lumber, hay, grist mills, flour mills, coal, feed, farm implements, sawmills, and real estate under the business name Sanford and Evans. Their Helena office was on the corner of Fuller and Lawrence Streets. After they died the firm became Sanford-Evans Inc. Sanford built the house for his wife, Eva in 1877. About 1883, Sanford moved and Evans bought the house. A plaque beside the building stated "The home is a grand expression of the flamboyant Second Empire style whose brief popularity during the 1870s coincided with the construction of Helena’s first substantial residences. The bell-cast mansard roof, decorative bracketing and exquisite ornamental iron cresting are noteworthy features of this beautiful, exceptionally well-preserved home." In 2010, the historical marker and post, valued at about $1,000, were stolen from the house, the first such occurrence in Helena.Evans married Margaret Graham in 1880; she died in 1894. Evans married Bertha Bellis, of Liverpool, England, on May 23, 1896. Bertha Evans became involved in many of her husband's business activities after he died. Chris and Bertha Evans died in 1915 and 1940, respectively.

USS Helena (CA-75), a Baltimore-class heavy cruiser, was the third ship of the United States Navy to be named for the city of Helena, Montana. Originally laid down as the USS Des Moines, she was renamed Helena while under construction after the 5 October 1944 cancellation of the Fargo-class light cruiser USS Helena (CL-113).

Grandstreet Theatre (GST) is a theatre in Helena, Montana. It is one of Montana's largest theatres. Located in historic downtown Helena, the community theatre presents several plays, musicals, and youth extravaganzas each year. Founded in 1975, "GST" remains a cornerstone for entertainment and education in Montana's capital city. GST's Summer Conservatory combines education with a full-scale summer stock experience. Grandstreet Theatre School offers year-round classes, and has produced a surprisingly large number of theatre professionals across the country. Grandstreet Theatre current staff includes Managing Director Corinne Woods, Artistic Director Jeff Downing, Director of Education Marianne Adams, as well as a few others.

The Confederate Memorial Fountain was a historic fountain in Helena, Montana, and one of the very few monuments to The Confederacy located in the Northwestern United States. Erected in Hill Park in 1916, the fountain was removed in 2017. It was replaced by a new fountain, called the Equity Fountain, in 2020.

St. Peter's Cathedral is located in Helena, Montana, United States. It is the seat of the Episcopal Diocese of Montana. In 1990 the cathedral was added as a contributing property in the Helena Historic District. In 2020, it reported 499 members, 133 average attendance, and $302,749 in plate and pledge financial support.

The Olsen House is a historic house in Helena, Montana. It has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places since March 22, 1991. It stands opposite St. Peter's Cathedral.

The historic Algeria Shrine Temple, now also known as the Helena Civic Center, is a Moorish Revival building in Helena, Montana that was built in 1920. The building served as a meeting hall for the Algeria Shriners and had civic functions. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places (under the shrine name) in 1988.The National Register's database records "Historic subfunctions" that include "meeting hall" for the place. Today, the building has a 2,000-seat auditorium and a 15,000 sq. ft. ballroom/exhibition hall. As of 2012, it is owned and operated by the City of Helena and available for banquets, craft shows, dances, weddings, trade shows and conferences.

The Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis Helena Branch is the only branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis. The branch was opened on 1 Feb. 1921. At the time of opening, the city had a population of 12,377 making it the smallest city to have a Federal Reserve bank or branch.The branch is located in Helena, Montana, in a 69,350-square-foot (6,443 m2) 3-level facility which sits on 4 acres.

The Benton Avenue Cemetery located in Helena, Montana was established by the Lewis and Clark County commissioners in 1870, and run by the county until management was turned over to the Benton Avenue Cemetery Association in 1922. The City Cemetery was older than Benton, but that property had to be cleared in 1875 for construction of Central School, those graves reinterred at Benton. In 1883, the route of Helena's first Memorial Day parade ended with a ceremony at Benton Avenue Cemetery.The cemetery was re-dedicated in 1968 following an extensive clean-up and restoration. In 1974, the cemetery was added to Montana's historic sites by the Governor's Commission on Historic Preservation, and was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2003. At the time of the NRHP listing, there were an estimated 896 burials in the cemetery's 10 acres (4.0 ha). In keeping with historic preservation, the grounds are maintained in keeping with the original 19th century plant life that grew in the area. A wrought iron fence, with two unlocked pedestrian gates, and one locked automobile gate, surrounds the grounds. Within the cemetery, there are also fenced-off areas privately maintained by family members.

Carroll College is a private Catholic college in Helena, Montana. The college has 21 buildings on a 63-acre campus, has over 35 academic majors, participates in 15 NAIA athletic sports, and is home to All Saints Chapel. The college motto, in Latin, is “Non scholae, sed vitae.” The college translates this into English as “Not for school, but for life.” Carroll's colors are purple and gold and the school's athletics teams are known as the Fighting Saints.
