River Point, Oregon

The Wallooskee River (also known as the Walluski River) is a tributary of the Youngs River, about 10 miles (16 km) long, in northwest Oregon in the United States. It drains a small area of the foothills of the Coast Range near the mouth of the Columbia River. The Youngs River is a tributary of the Columbia River. It rises southwest of Astoria in a northern Clatsop County at 46.108165°N 123.674857°W / 46.108165; -123.674857 (Wallooskee River source). It flows generally west in a winding course. About a mile (1.6 km) before its mouth, it receives the Little Wallooskee River from the right at 46.1423303°N 123.780417°W / 46.1423303; -123.780417 (Little Wallooskee River mouth) which flows about 2 miles (3.2 km) from its source at 46.1395532°N 123.735971°W / 46.1395532; -123.735971 (Little Wallooskee River source). The Wallooskee enters Youngs River from the east at the south end of Youngs Bay, approximately 2 miles (3.2 km) south of Astoria.

The Astoria Column is a tower in the northwest United States, overlooking the mouth of the Columbia River on Coxcomb Hill in Astoria, Oregon. Built in 1926, the concrete and steel structure is part of a 30-acre (12 ha) city park. The 125-foot (38 m)-tall column has a 164-step spiral staircase ascending to an observation deck at the top and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on May 2, 1974.

The Old Youngs Bay Bridge is a bascule bridge across Youngs Bay in Astoria, Oregon, completed in 1921. Conde McCullough was responsible for designing this bridge, his first for Oregon. The bridge consists of two 75-foot (23 m) steel bascule leaves approached over a pile trestle and timber spans. It has a total length of 1,766 feet (538 m). The bridge features early versions of McCullough's signature accent elements, with Art Moderne concrete pylons topped by light fixtures flanking the landings at either end of the bridge.

The Astoria Fire House No. 2, also known originally as the North Pacific Brewing Company Beer Storage Building and as the Uppertown Firefighter's Museum since 1989, is a historic building located in Astoria, Oregon, United States.The fire house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1984.The Uppertown Firefighter's Museum is operated by the Clatsop County Historical Society. The museum features fire-fighting equipment from 1879 to 1963, hand-pulled, horse-drawn, and motorized fire engines, fire fighting memorabilia and photos.

The Christian Leinenweber House is a house located in Astoria, Oregon, United States, listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1874 by a local businessman named Christian Leinenweber. It is also known as the Otto Gramms House; Gramms and his family owned it from 1916 to 1965.The house was built in 1874, but not originally in the Italianate architectural style for which it is known; rather, changes which placed it in this style came in 1883.Christian Frederick Leinenweber was born in Pirmasens, Bavaria in February 1839. He settled in Astoria, Oregon in February 1866, and married Mary Powers the same year. Leinenweber influenced the growth of Astoria through his business dealings. Leinenweber was the first of five postmasters for the town of Upper Astoria. He served in the Oregon Legislature in 1884–1885, and died several years later in March 1889. At the time of his death, his estate included three partnership companies with Hiram Brown: Tillamock Packing, Nestucca Packing, and Badollet & Co. Leinenweber was also a school district manager at the time of his death.
