Old Youngs Bay Bridge

Astoria High School is the only public high school located in Astoria, Oregon serving grades 9th–12th. It is located on the edge of Youngs Bay, on the south side of town. The school's mascot is the Fighting Fisherman as a tribute to a past primary economy source in the area. Astoria High School provides classes that integrate the students in the local environment and job force, with a high percentage of graduates working career in the fishing, forestry and lumber markets.

The programming of the station is news–talk, with local programming during drive time hours and at noon, and syndicated programs including Laura Ingraham and Lars Larson the remainder of the day.

The George C. and Winona Flavel House is a house built in 1879 in Astoria, Oregon. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.This was the residence of Captain George Conrad Flavel (1855–1923) and his wife Winona from 1879 to 1901. George Conrad Flavel was the son of George Flavel (1824–1893), also a captain. The house was a wedding present to the junior Flavel from his grandfather, Conrad Boelling. George Conrad Flavel married C. Winona Callendar in 1879. An 1893 remodeling included expansion of the house. The couple lived in this house until 1901, at which time they moved to a newly built, larger house at 15th Street and Franklin Avenue (also in Astoria) and sold the 1879 dwelling. Their 1901-built house is also listed on the National Register, as the Captain George Conrad Flavel House.

The Captain George Flavel House Museum () known also as Capt. George Flavel House and Carriage House or the Flavel Mansion, is now a house museum in Astoria, Oregon, United States. It was built in 1885 in the Queen Anne architectural style, by George Flavel, a Columbia River bar pilot who was one of the area's first millionaires.

At about 2 a.m. on December 8, 1922, a fire began which destroyed up to 30 blocks in central Astoria, Oregon. Approximately 2,500 residents lost their homes, with one death, and damages exceeded hundreds of millions of dollars. The fire is considered to be one of the worst in Oregon's history.A 1922 report attributed: ... the rapid spread of the fire had been caused by flames eating their way beneath the paved streets, attacking the creosoted pilings which provide the support for the pavement. To this honeycomb ... is attributed the amazing speed with which the flames traveled, breaking through in myriad places. Astoria had major fires in July 1883 and December 16, 2010.

The Oregon Film Museum is a museum highlighting and celebrating movies that were made in the U.S. state of Oregon. The museum is housed in the old Clatsop County Jail in Astoria, Oregon, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The building was used in the opening chase sequence of the 1985 film The Goonies. The museum opened in 2010, coinciding with the 25th anniversary of the film. The museum features hands-on exhibits related to films that were made in Oregon, which include, in addition to The Goonies, Kindergarten Cop, Free Willy, Twilight, The Shining, Sometimes a Great Notion and National Lampoon's Animal House. It contains several props from The Goonies, in addition to memorabilia, costumes and various collectibles that are on display within the former jail cells. Visitors can also create their own short films in an exhibit that features small sets and green screens. As of 2015, an "ORV" similar to the one used by the Fratelli gang in The Goonies can be found in the parking lot complete with imitation bullet holes near the rear license plate.

The Astoria Elks Building, also known as Astoria B.P.O.E. Lodge No. 180 Building, is an Elks building in Astoria, Oregon, that is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1923 and has a Beaux Arts architectural style. It was listed on the National Register in 1990.It was completed in 1923. It has an "American Renaissance motif". Two sides have a "variegated brick veneer, broken into bays with pilasters and topped by terra cotta and crimped wrought iron." Its lower floor was designed for commercial use, and the upper floors reserved for use by the Elks lodge.

Clatsop Community College (CCC) is a public community college with facilities in Astoria and Seaside, Oregon. The college's service area includes Clatsop County, portions of Columbia and Tillamook counties and Pacific and Wahkiakum counties in Washington state.
