Thuthiyoor

Eroor is a suburb of the city of Kochi in the state of Kerala, India. It is located at around 7 km from the city center.

Vennala is a ward of Kochi, Kerala. It was one of the early panchayats of Kerala, that was amalgamated with other panchayats during the formation of Kochi corporation. Located at around 6 km from the city center, it spans the area from Alinchuvadu to Arkakkadavu and from Kottenkavu to Padivattom. The famous Vennala Mahadeva temple and Kottangavu Bhagavathi, Mangala temple are located here. Vennala Sneham Mathrubhumi study circle, Century club, Vennala Abhayamatha Church, Vennala St. Mathews Church and Vennala Govt. HSS, Absolute academy are in this circle. The mosque called "Vadakaneith Pally" is also located here. Vennala hosted the India's first professional Club "F C COCHIN". Ernakulam Medical Centre is a multi-speciality hospital located in this suburb. Almeka Medical Centre is a specialists’ centre for skin laser and cosmetic treatments located in this suburb. Bharat Petroleum refueling station "Vennala Fuels" also adds value to this township. Its proximity to Vyttila bus terminal has been attracting many builders to develop residential neighborhoods across this region. There are some bank branches in located there State Bank of India (2branches), Panjab National Bank, Axis Bank.

Ernakulam (IPA: [erɐɳɐːguɭɐm] ; ISO: Eṟaṇākuḷaṁ) is one of the 14 districts in the Indian state of Kerala, and takes its name from the eponymous city division in Kochi. It is situated in the central part of the state, spans an area of about 2,924 square kilometres (1,129 sq mi), and is home to over 9% of Kerala's population. Its headquarters are located at Kakkanad. The district includes Kochi, also known as the commercial capital of Kerala, which is famous for its ancient churches, Hindu temples, synagogues and mosques. The district includes the largest metropolitan region of the state: Greater Cochin. Ernakulam district yields the highest revenue and the largest number of industries in the state. Ernakulam is the third most populous district in Kerala, after Malappuram and Thiruvananthapuram (out of 14 districts). The district also hosts the highest number of international and domestic tourists in Kerala state. The most commonly spoken language in Ernakulam is Malayalam. English is widely used, mostly in business circles. Ernakulam became India's first district to have 100 percent banking or full "meaningful financial inclusion" in 2012.Ernakulam has a high Human Development Index of 0.801 (UNHDP report 2005), which is one of the highest in India.

Vyttila Mobility Hub is an integrated transit terminal in the city of Kochi. It is designed as a converging point of various forms of public transportation, such as local and long-distance buses, metro rail and inland water transport. It is planned over an area of 37 acres (150,000 m2) in Vyttila, making it one of the largest bus termini in India. The foundation stone for Mobility Hub in Vytilla was laid by the Chief Minister of Kerala V. S. Achuthanandan on 7 June 2010. Construction of the first phase, consisting of the terminal for long-distance buses and the basic amenities, started in December 2010; the first phase was opened on 26 February 2011. When fully implemented, it will have facilities to integrate all modes of public transportation, as well as for shopping, entertainment and hospitality.

Vyttila is a station of Kochi Water Metro. The station is located adjacent to Vyttila metro station and Vyttila mobility hub. It was inaugurated by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on 25 April 2023 and opened for public on 27 April as a part of the first phase of the water metro system.

Bhavans Vidya Mandir, Eroor is a secondary school with an affiliation to the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). It is one of the six schools of the Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Kochi Kendra and is located within the outskirts of Thripunithura, Kerala.

Kundannoor is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is located around 3.5 km from Vytilla Junction and around 7 km from Ernakulam Junction Railway Station. Kundanoor is located on the busiest road of the city and state, the Kochi Bypass, at the junction of three National Highways, namely NH 66, NH 85 and NH 966B. NH 966B is the second shortest National highway in India.The junction now has a six-lane flyover due to the high traffic it handles. Since the current Kochi Bypass carries over twice the traffic it is designed to handle, the National Highways Authority of India had come up with a proposal for a new bypass for Kochi city a few years ago. As per the selected alignment, the Kochi New Bypass will begin from NH 544 at Karayamparambu, north of Kochi's suburb Angamaly, and end at NH 66 at Nettoor region of Maradu. In addition to this new greenfield National Highway project, the existing NH 85 (Kochi-Dhanushkodi) starting from Kundannoor junction will be widened to a four-lane one under Bharatmala. As per the plans the new widened NH will avoid the current NH 85 until Puthenkurishu, starting around 1 kilometre south of the existing Kundanoor Junction.The Le Meridien and Crowne Plaza hotels are near Kundanoor junction. Many shopping malls are proposed and some including Prestige Group's Kochi Forum Thomson Mall are under construction in Kundanoor. Kundanoor is also unofficially known as the automobile hub of Kochi, since it houses the most vehicle showrooms in the city and the state, including Mercedes-Benz, Volvo, Porsche, Audi, Volkswagen, Suzuki Nexa, Honda BigWing Topline, Jeep, Harley Davidson, etc.

Vyttila, IPA: [ʋɐjt̺ːilɐ], is an intersection as well as the name of a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. It is the busiest as well as one of the largest intersections in Kerala. This node intersects the main north–south artery of the state of Kerala, namely, the Kochi Bypass, with three city roads of Kochi viz, the S. A. Road (One of the city's most prominent arterial road in the east–west direction), the Vyttila-Petta Road, and the Thammanam Road. The name Vyttila is said to be evolved from the word "Vayal Thala" meaning the main part of the paddy field. Once the area including Elamkulam, were paddy fields and paddy cultivation were the main sources of income. The paddy field existed from Ernakulam, Girinagar, Panampilly Nagar, Gandhi Nagar, Jawahar Nagar, Kumarananshan Nagar and extended to Kaniyampuzha and Panamkutyy bridge. Some also say that because there existed a bunch of dacoits, who murdered and looted the travelers the name evolved from 'Vazhithala'. Once the Puthenpalam bridge that connected Chilavennoor Lake and Chettichira was the only link from Vayalthala with Ernakulam. Vyttila hosts the Vyttilla Mobility Hub, which converges different ways of surface transport (namely, local as well as long-distance buses, rail, Metro Rail and inland water transport) to the city onto a single node.Vyttila is also the name of the region in the city of Kochi, of which the Vyttila Intersection is a part. Until 1967, Vyttila was a panchayat. The November 1967 order of the Kerala Legislative Assembly amalgamated Vyttila to the newly formed Kochi Corporation.

Irumpanam is a ward of Thrippunithura, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. Irumpanam forms a part of the Kochi metropolitan area. It is an important industrial region, housing many companies such as Indian Oil Corporation, Bharat Petroleum and Hindustan Petroleum. The region is the northernmost part of the Thrippunithura municipality, and is situated 8 km (5.0 mi) from the Kochi city centre. The Seaport-Airport Road (SPAP Road) passes through this place.

The Q1 Mall or Infra Q1 is an upcoming, under construction business cum lifestyle mall in Kochi, India. The mall is developed and promoted by Nippon Infra Projects Pvt. Ltd. It has a built up area of 540,000 sq ft (50,000 m2) on 15 floors with a combination of retail, leisure and office space.Q1 Mall is located between Pipeline and Vytilla, two major junctions in NH 66.

Thammanam (Malayalam: തമ്മനം) is a region in the city of Kochi, in the state of Kerala, India. The region is classified as per official records as a suburban residential area within the Kochi city limit and falls under the Kannayanur taluk. Thammanam can be claimed to lie at the heart of the city, and is equidistant from crucial city junctions, namely Palarivattom and Vyttila. The Palarivattom-Vyttila connection road passes through Thammanam, and meets Ponnurunni and Pipeline Junction as well. Thammanam is connected to the commercial hub of Kochi, MG Road via Thammanam-Pullepady Road which is situated at a distance of around 5 km, by a convenient road network through Kathrikkadavu. The region is also situated just a km from the main National Highway of Kerala connecting Trivandrum in the south to Kasaragod in the north of Kerala. The city's prime locations lie within a radius of 6 km from Thammanam, making it a predominantly residential and commercial area with modern facilities in and around the city region.

The Cochin Special Economic Zone (CSEZ) is a multi-product special economic zone located at Kochi, Kerala. It is established in an area of 41.7 hectares (103.0 acres) in Kakkanad. It is a multi-product zone, with industrial units operating in Electronics Hardware, Engineering, Gem & Jewellery, IT & ITES, Agro & Food Processing, Textile & garments, Plastic & Rubber etc. Currently it has around 160 units operating employing more than 15,000 people. In FY2011-12, the total exports from the zone stood at ₹ 29,961 crore, recording a 63% rise in exports compared to the previous financial year.For the current financial year 2012-13, as on 30 September 2012, the total exports from CSEZ stand at ₹ 16,306 crore, ranking it the third among SEZs in the country.CSEZ was originally started as one of the first Export Processing Zone in India, and was later converted into a Special Economic Zone in 2003, when that system was introduced. It is operated by the Government of India, Ministry of Commerce, under the CSEZ Authority, and headed by a Development Commissioner. It is the first integrated industrial park in Kerala. The land area of the existing zone in Kochi has been fully utilized. As part of expansion of CSEZ, a proposal to set up phase II of the Zone in 125 acres of land adjacent to the Infopark in Cherthala has been mooted.
