Overstreet Mall

Charlotte Plaza is a 388 feet (118 m) tall skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was built in 1982 and has 27 floors. It is the 20th-tallest building in the city. The Class A office building is owned by Rabina Properties, LLC. The ground and second floor are part of the Overstreet Mall, which connects to the neighboring BB&T Center via skybridge.

Home Federal Building is a historic bank building located at Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1967, and is a seven-story, reinforced-concrete, International Style building with an eight-story concrete-block service tower. Also on the property are a contributing fountain and pool (1967) and walkway bridge (1967). The building has been converted to condominiums. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2008.

Charlotte School of Law (Charlotte Law) was an independent for-profit college in Charlotte, North Carolina established in 2006. It was provisionally accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) in 2008, and fully accredited in 2011. However, the ABA placed the school on probation in 2016, resulting in the school's closure the following year. While Charlotte Law served the community through expungement programs and restitution self-help clinics, it was also criticized for alleged mismanagement and compliance issues, which were later found to be true. Charlotte Law was owned by the InfiLaw System.

South Tryon Square is a development consisting of two 14-story high-rises in Charlotte, North Carolina. The first building, at 201 South Tryon, was opened in 1961 as the Barclays American; from its second renovation, in 1999, the facade was changed to the current gray and green granite with green glass and ornamental metal. The second building, at 237 South Tryon, was opened in 2001 as a hotel branded Courtyard by Marriott and houses the 698-space parking garage. Both buildings are also connected to the neighboring BB&T Center by dual skybridges, as part of the Overstreet Mall.

One South at The Plaza (formerly the Bank of America Plaza) is a 503 feet (153 m), 40-story skyscraper in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the 6th tallest in the city. It contains 887,079 square feet (82,412 m2) of rentable area of which 75,000 sq ft (7,000 m2) of retail space, and the rest office space. On the ground floor is the Overstreet Mall, which connects to neighboring buildings via skybridges; located below-grade is the parking garage with space for 456 vehicles and leases a nearby five-level garage, providing 730 additional parking spaces. Opened in 1974 as NCNB Plaza, it served as the world headquarters for NCNB and its successor, NationsBank, until the opening of NationsBank Corporate Center in 1992. It was the tallest building in North Carolina from its completion in 1974 until it was surpassed by One First Union Center in 1987. The tower is located at the intersection of East Trade Street and South Tryon Street. A bronze sculpture entitled "Il Grande Disco" is located in the plaza adjacent to the building. Behringer Harvard REIT I Inc bought the tower in 2006. Cousins Properties acquired the building in 2019, and renamed it One South at The Plaza in 2021 after Bank of America relocated its employees elsewhere in Uptown. NCNB Plaza was built along with the 350-room Radisson Plaza. In 1998, LaSalle Advisors of Chicago owned NationsBank Plaza and the Radisson Plaza when Omni Hotels, which exited Charlotte two years earlier, bought the hotel with plans for an $8 million renovation, making it a Four Diamond luxury hotel.

101 Independence Center is a high-rise office building located in uptown Charlotte, North Carolina. It was completed in 1983 and stands at a height of 301 ft (92 m) with 20 floors. It is the seventh largest building in Charlotte by leasable square feet with 565,694 square feet. It sits on the former site of the Independence Building at Charlotte's Independence Square.

The Battle of Charlotte was an American Revolutionary War battle fought in Charlotte, North Carolina on September 26, 1780. The battle took place at the Mecklenburg County Court House; which is now the site of the Bank of America tower at Trade and Tryon Streets in downtown Charlotte. An advance guard of General Charles Cornwallis' army rode into town and encountered a well-prepared Patriot militia under the command of William R. Davie in front of the court house. A skirmish ensued in which George Hanger, leading the British cavalry, was wounded. The small Patriot force, which had not intended more than token resistance, withdrew north toward Salisbury upon the arrival of Cornwallis and the main army.

112 Tryon Plaza is a 280 ft (85 m) 22-story high-rise in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was the second tallest building in North Carolina when completed in 1927, and the tallest building in Charlotte for about 35 more years. It is currently the 21st tallest building in the city. Located on "The Square" at the corner of Trade St. and Tryon St. adjacent to a pocket park, this building has a premiere location in Uptown Charlotte, also known as Charlotte center city. In 2006 it was sold for $12 million to the Simpson Organization.

First Citizens Plaza is a 320 feet (98 m) office high-rise in Charlotte, North Carolina. It was completed in 1985 and has 23 floors.

Merchants and Farmers National Bank Building was a historic bank building in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, North Carolina. It was built in 1871–1872, a three-story, brick building with a stuccoed front and Italianate style cast iron trim manufactured by the Mecklenburg Iron Works. The building housed Independent Order of Odd Fellows lodges that met there from the 1870s through 1920. It was the oldest surviving commercial building in the central business district of Charlotte until it was demolished in 1989. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1984. The building was demolished in 1989 to make room for construction of the new corporate headquarter of NCNB, which later became Bank of America. Currently, the Bank of America Corporate Center sits at the former location of the building.

The Dole Nutrition Institute (DNI) is a research and education foundation within the Dole plc and is based in Kannapolis, North Carolina, at the North Carolina Research Campus. The DNI was founded by David H. Murdock in 2003. The institute exists as a resource offering educational publications on a plant-based diet.
