Sanford station (Connecticut)

Topstone is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is on the west side of the town and is bordered to the west by the town of Ridgefield. Topstone was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Hugh Cain Fulling Mill and Elias Glover Woolen Mill Archeological Site is a 4.4-acre (1.8 ha) industrial archeological site in the eastern part of Ridgefield, Connecticut (off U.S. Route 7). It is the site of an early fulling mill established in 1770, and was an active industrial site until the turn of the 20th century. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

The Umpawaug District School is a one-room schoolhouse located near the junction of Umpawaug Road and Marchant in Redding, Connecticut, United States. The school was built in 1790 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 1, 1988. It is the only surviving district schoolhouse in the town. The building was used as a schoolhouse until 1931. Once a year the Redding Historical Society will open the schoolhouse to the public. It is still owned by the town, but is managed by the Redding Historical Society as a museum.

Route 7 Gateway is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is on the east side of Ridgefield, bordered to the east by the town of Redding and to the northeast by the city of Danbury. U.S. Route 7 runs through the center of the CDP, leading north into Danbury and south to Norwalk. Connecticut Route 35 splits off Route 7 to the southwest in the center of the CDP, leading to the center of Ridgefield. Route 7 Gateway was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Cooper station was a stop on the Ridgefield Branch of the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad and later the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. Opened circa 1885 as a flag stop in the town of Ridgefield, Connecticut, the station was closed in 1925 when passenger service on the Ridgefield branch was discontinued. The station existed alongside the Florida and Ridgefield stations along the branch. Cooper was named so due to the namesake street it was located on which was in turn named for an unidentified cooper who operated a workshop in the vicinity.

Redding station (signed as West Redding) is a commuter rail stop on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, located in Redding, Connecticut. The station has one two-car-long high-level side platform to the west of the single track.: 27 

The Aaron Barlow House is a historic house at the corner of Umpawaug and Station Roads in Redding, Connecticut. Built in 1730, it is a fine local example of Georgian architecture, with historic association to local figures active in the American Revolutionary War. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1982.

Branchville is a neighborhood of the town of Ridgefield in Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States, and is also the name of a Metro North railroad station (Branchville station). Branchville was listed as a census-designated place (CDP) prior to the 2020 census.Some people consider Branchville a part of Georgetown, an adjoining, non-incorporated community at the intersection of Redding, Ridgefield, Wilton and Weston, noting many residences and businesses there share Georgetown's 544- telephone number exchange. Others disagree, pointing to a community vote in the 1950s not to be served by the Georgetown Post Office, which is closer than the Ridgefield Post Office. The Branchville CDP is only in the town of Ridgefield.

Branchville station is a commuter rail station on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, located in the Branchville neighborhood of Ridgefield, Connecticut.

The Branchville Railroad Tenement is a historic commercial and residential building at the junction of Portland Avenue and West Branchville Road in Ridgefield, Connecticut. Built in stages between about 1853 and 1905, it is a distinctive reminder of the area's railroad-related history, serving as tenement housing for railroad workers before being converted to other residential and commercial uses. The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on August 12, 1982. It continues to be used for commercial and residential purposes.

WAXB (850 AM), is a radio station licensed to Ridgefield, Connecticut, United States, one of three area stations owned by The Berkshire Broadcasting Corporation. The others are News/Talk 800 AM WLAD and Hot Adult Contemporary 98Q/98.3 FM WDAQ. WAXB airs a Spanish adult hits radio format for the Danbury region of Connecticut. The station uses the identification "Juan 850". Because 850 AM is a clear channel frequency reserved for KOA in Denver, Colorado and KICY in Nome, Alaska, WAXB must sign-off at night to avoid interference with those stations.

Weir Farm National Historical Park is located in Ridgefield and Wilton, Connecticut. It commemorates the life and work of American impressionist painter J. Alden Weir and other artists who stayed at the site or lived there, to include Childe Hassam, Albert Pinkham Ryder, John Singer Sargent, and John Twachtman. Weir Farm is one of two sites in the National Park Service devoted to the visual arts, along with Saint-Gaudens National Historical Park.Both sites maintain ongoing artist-in-residence programs; to date, the Weir Farm Art Center (formerly the Weir Farm Trust) has hosted more than 150 artists for month long stays at the site. Weir Farm also runs an ongoing "Take Part in Art" program, under which visitors can create their own works on site.Weir Farm was recognized on the 52nd quarter in 2020 as part of the America the Beautiful Quarters Program.
