Long Ridge is a historic rural neighborhood in the southeastern corner of Danbury, Connecticut. Located east of the Starrs Plain neighborhood and south of Tarrywile Park, it borders Redding to the south and Bethel to the east. The neighborhood’s main thoroughfare, Long Ridge Road, is Danbury’s only designated scenic road.

Redding station (signed as West Redding) is a commuter rail stop on the Danbury Branch of the Metro-North Railroad New Haven Line, located in Redding, Connecticut. The station has one two-car-long high-level side platform to the west of the single track.: 27 

The Aaron Barlow House is a historic house at the corner of Umpawaug and Station Roads in Redding, Connecticut. Built in 1730, it is a fine local example of Georgian architecture, with historic association to local figures active in the American Revolutionary War. The house was listed on the National Register of Historic Places on May 29, 1982.

Lake Waubeeka is a man-made lake and private community in the Starrs Plain section of Danbury, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States.

The Umpawaug District School is a one-room schoolhouse located near the junction of Umpawaug Road and Marchant in Redding, Connecticut, United States. The school was built in 1790 and was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 1, 1988. It is the only surviving district schoolhouse in the town. The building was used as a schoolhouse until 1931. Once a year the Redding Historical Society will open the schoolhouse to the public. It is still owned by the town, but is managed by the Redding Historical Society as a museum.

Wooster Mountain State Park is an undeveloped public recreation area located within the city limits of Danbury, Connecticut. The state park covers 444 acres (180 ha) and is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

Sanford station (also known as Sanford's and later called Topstone) was a passenger rail station on the Danbury and Norwalk Railroad and later the Danbury Branch of both the Housatonic Railroad and the New York, New Haven, and Hartford Railroad. The station was located on the border between Ridgefield and Redding, Connecticut, and was located on Topstone Road. Opened in 1852 as a flag stop and located in the Topstone section of Redding, Connecticut, the original station building was destroyed in 1891 by a speeding freight train. A new station building was erected the following year and would serve until the station's closure in 1938. The station was called so because of the numerous families named Sanford in the area surrounding the station.

Route 7 Gateway is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Ridgefield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is on the east side of Ridgefield, bordered to the east by the town of Redding and to the northeast by the city of Danbury. U.S. Route 7 runs through the center of the CDP, leading north into Danbury and south to Norwalk. Connecticut Route 35 splits off Route 7 to the southwest in the center of the CDP, leading to the center of Ridgefield. Route 7 Gateway was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

The Hugh Cain Fulling Mill and Elias Glover Woolen Mill Archeological Site is a 4.4-acre (1.8 ha) industrial archeological site in the eastern part of Ridgefield, Connecticut (off U.S. Route 7). It is the site of an early fulling mill established in 1770, and was an active industrial site until the turn of the 20th century. The site was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1985.

Topstone is a census-designated place (CDP) in the town of Redding, Fairfield County, Connecticut, United States. It is on the west side of the town and is bordered to the west by the town of Ridgefield. Topstone was first listed as a CDP prior to the 2020 census.

Bennett's Pond State Park is a public recreation area located in the town of Ridgefield, Connecticut. The state park occupies a portion of the estate once owned by industrialist Louis D. Conley. The park features the 56-acre pond for which it is named and many miles of hiking trails in a pristine woodland environment. It is contiguous with Wooster Mountain State Park and is crossed by the Ives Trail. In addition to hiking, the park offers fishing, biking, and seasonal bow hunting. It is managed by the Connecticut Department of Energy and Environmental Protection.

WDAQ (98.3 FM), "98Q") is a Hot AC radio station licensed to Danbury, Connecticut, and serving part of Western Connecticut and Putnam County, New York. The station is owned by The Berkshire Broadcasting Corporation, along with sister stations WLAD 800 AM and WAXB 850 AM. The radio studios and offices are on Mill Plain Road in Danbury. WDAQ has an Effective Radiated Power (ERP) of 1,300 watts. The transmitter is on Brushy Hill Road in Danbury. It broadcasts using HD Radio technology. WDAQ has four digital subchannels, three of them feeding FM translators with formats including alternative rock (103.7), country music (107.3) and classic hits (94.5).
