Sandy is a city in the Salt Lake City metropolitan area, located in Salt Lake County, Utah, United States. The population of Sandy was 87,461 at the 2010 census, making it the sixth-largest city in Utah. The population is currently estimated to be about 96,380 according to the July 1, 2019 United States Census estimates.Sandy is home to the Shops at South Town shopping mall; the Jordan Commons entertainment, office and dining complex; and the Mountain America Exposition Center. It is also the location of the soccer-specific Rio Tinto Stadium, which hosts Real Salt Lake and Utah Royals FC home games, and opened on October 8, 2008. The city is currently developing a walkable and transit-oriented city center called The Cairns. A formal master plan was adopted in January 2017 to accommodate regional growth and outlines developments and related guidelines through the next 25 years, while dividing the city center into distinct villages. The plan emphasizes sustainable living, walkability, human-scaled architecture, environmentally-friendly design, and nature-inspired design while managing population growth and its related challenges.

The Draper Poultrymen and Egg Producers' Plant, located at 1071 East Pioneer Road in Draper, Utah, United States, is important in the history of Draper. Also known as the Draper Poultrymen Inc., as Draper Egg Producers Association, and as Intermountain Farmers Association, it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The plant includes three buildings deemed contributing buildings: a store built in c.1931, a mill built in 1945, and a boiler built c.1954. A concrete-block mill warehouse built in 1967 is in Modern Movement architecture example.In 2011, the Draper Town Center TRAX station was completed adjacent to the plant and a historic display regarding the plant was included as part of the construction.

The Skaggs Catholic Center is a 57 acres (230,000 m2) school and church campus in Draper, Utah, United States. It is the location of Juan Diego Catholic High School, Saint John the Baptist Middle School, Saint John the Baptist Elementary School, Guardian Angel Daycare, and the St. John the Baptist Parish Catholic church. Opened in 1999, the campus was funded by Leonard Samuel (Sam) Skaggs, Jr. (retired chairman of American Stores) and his wife Ailene, who donated $42 million to build the facility as a flagship for the Catholic community in predominantly-Mormon Utah. (Sam Skaggs was not a Catholic at the time he conceived the idea, although he later converted.) Upon its opening, the facility was reported to be the largest Catholic education campus in the United States, and the largest gift made for Catholic primary and secondary education.

Draper Town Center is a light rail station located in Draper, Utah, in the United States, served by the TRAX Blue Line of the Utah Transit Authority's (UTA) TRAX system. The Blue Line provides service north from this station to Downtown Salt Lake City.

The Perry and Agnes Wadsworth Fitzgerald House, at 1160 East Pioneer Road in Draper, Utah, United States, was built in 1870 as the home for Perry Fitzgerald's third polygamous wife Agnes, who had 13 children. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The property was assessed for its historic significance in 2004, when a Draper city library was planned to be built upon the property. A historic log cabin had already been moved to a city park and preserved. Called the Perry Fitzgerald Cabin, it was built around 1850 and "became a barn after the family built a brick home in the 1860s. The three-room cabin is currently located in the Draper City Park. It was moved from its original site and reassembled in the park around 1990."The Perry and Agnes Wadsworth Fitzgerald House was deemed to "retain remarkable integrity" and to be significant as the oldest brick house in Draper, and as an "excellent example of pioneer craftsmanship".There is another brick house claimed to be the oldest in Draper: the Burnham House at 12735 S. Fort Street. It and this Fitzgerald house were both "built in the mid to late 1860s, and claim to be the oldest brick homes in Draper. Both have adobe-lined walls."

The Draper Park School, at 12441 South 900 East in Draper, Utah, is a Classical Revival style building that was built in 1912 and extended later. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.It was named after Dr. John R. Park who, early in his career, was a school teacher in Draper. The building includes a historically significant Works Progress Administration mural painted by Paul Smith in 1938.The building is now owned by Godfrey Properties & Design, founded by entertainer, filmmaker and action-sports athlete Gregg Godfrey. It was purchased by the company in 2015 with the intent to renovate, restore and revitalize the building for business use.
