The Institut de rythmique Jaques-Dalcroze de Belgique is a music education institute based in Brussels, Belgium. It exists from the beginning of the 1950s. In 1975, the French Community of Belgium recognized it as a National Institution of Musical Education. It is located in the Clinique du Docteur Van Neck building, an Art Nouveau work built in 1910 by Antoine Pompe.

The Horta Museum (French: Musée Horta, Dutch: Hortamuseum) is a museum dedicated to the life and work of the Belgian Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta and his time. The museum is housed in Horta's former house and workshop, Maison & Atelier Horta (1898), in the Brussels municipality of Saint-Gilles. Housed in the Art Nouveau interiors is a permanent display of furniture, utensils and art objects designed by Horta and his contemporaries as well as documents related to his life and time. The museum also organises temporary exhibitions on topics related to Horta and his art. The building is inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as one of the major town houses of Victor Horta in Brussels.

Saint-Gilles (French, pronounced [sɛ̃ ʒil] (listen)) or Sint-Gillis (Dutch, pronounced [sɪntˈxɪlɪs] (listen)) is one of the 19 municipalities of the Brussels-Capital Region, Belgium. Located in the southern part of the region, it is bordered by the City of Brussels, Anderlecht, Forest and Ixelles. In common with all of Brussels' municipalities, it is legally bilingual (French–Dutch). Saint-Gilles has a multicultural identity stemming from its diverse population. The housing stock varies from semi-derelict tenements near Brussels-South railway station in the north, to elegant bourgeois houses on the southern borders with Uccle and Ixelles, to tourist hotels at the inner end of the Chaussée de Charleroi/Charleroisesteenweg.

Saint-Gilles Prison (French: Prison de Saint-Gilles, Dutch: Gevangenis van Sint-Gillis) is a prison in Brussels, Belgium, that opened in 1884. It is located on the borders of the municipalities of Saint-Gilles, Ixelles and Forest, next to Forest Prison and Berkendael Prison. Representative of the cellular system established during the 19th century, Saint-Gilles Prison was for a long time emblematic of overcrowding in Belgian prisons. Its infrastructure being in very poor condition, it is scheduled to close at the end of 2024, when it will be replaced by Haren Prison.

The Municipal Hall (French: Hôtel communal, Dutch: Gemeentehuis) of Saint-Gilles is the municipal hall building and the seat of that municipality of Brussels, Belgium. Designed by the architect Albert Dumont in neo-Flemish Renaissance style and completed in 1904, it is located at 39, place Maurice Van Meenen/Maurice Van Meenenplein. This site is served by the premetro (underground tram) station Horta on lines 3 and 4, as well as the tram stop Lombardie/Lombardije (on lines 81 and 97).

The Chaussée de Charleroi (French) or Charleroisesteenweg (Dutch) is a major street in Brussels, Belgium, running through the municipalities of Saint-Gilles and the City of Brussels. It connects the Place Stéphanie/Stefanieplein in the City of Brussels to the Ma Campagne crossroad in Saint-Gilles. It forms the N261 road with the Avenue Brugmann/Brugmannlaan, the Rue de Stalle/Stallestraat and the Rue Prolongée de Stalle/Verlengde Stallestraat. It is named after the city of Charleroi (Wallonia). Many bars, restaurants, hotels and shops are located on the Chaussée de Charleroi. The Brussels tram routes 92 and 97 also run on this street.

The Hankar House (French: Maison Hankar, Dutch: Huis Hankar) is the residence built by the Belgian architect Paul Hankar in 1893. It is located at 71, rue Defacqz/Defacqzstraat in the Saint-Gilles municipality of Brussels, Belgium. It is considered, along with the Hôtel Tassel by Victor Horta, built at the same time, one of the first houses in Art Nouveau style.

The Hôtel Goblet d'Alviella (French: Hôtel Goblet d'Alviella, Dutch: Huis Goblet d'Alviella) is a hôtel particulier designed by Octave van Rysselberghe on Rue Faider/Faiderstraat in Saint-Gilles, Brussels, Belgium. It is the first major realization by Van Rysselberghe, who himself lived here until 1888. After that, the client, Count Eugène Goblet d'Alviella, professor, liberal member of parliament and freemason, moved in.
