Toccoa Falls

The Seby Jones Library is the primary academic library on the campus of Toccoa Falls College. Among its many holdings, the Seby Jones Library has a collection of 85000 books, 56000 ebooks, and 215 databases. It was also believed that for many years the Seby Jones Library housed the largest flannelgraph collection in the United States, though this assertion was never proved.

Kelly Barnes Dam was an earthen embankment dam on Toccoa Creek in Stephens County, Georgia, United States, just outside the city of Toccoa. Heavy rainfall caused it to collapse on November 6, 1977, and the resulting flood killed 39 people and caused $2.8 million in damage. The dam was never rebuilt. A memorial to the dead stands downstream, by Toccoa Falls on the campus of Toccoa Falls College.

The station is owned by Radio Training Network of Greenville, South Carolina, and is part of its His Radio Praise network carrying a contemporary worship music format. Prior to being owned by RTN, WTXR was the student-run campus radio station of Toccoa Falls College.

University of Toccoa Falls is a private evangelical Christian university in Toccoa Falls, Georgia, United States, founded in 1907. The campus occupies 1,100 acres (450 ha), bordering the Chattahoochee National Forest and is home to Toccoa Falls, a 186-foot (57 m) high waterfall. It is affiliated with the Christian and Missionary Alliance and is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS). The college is also a member of Council for Christian Colleges and Universities.

The James B. Simmons House, also known as the Simmons-Bond House, was built in 1903 in Toccoa, Georgia by the noted Georgia architect E. Levi Prater for James B. Simmons, a successful lumberman. The main occupants of the house have been the James B. Simmons and the Julius Belton Bond families. The property was added to the United States National Register of Historic Places in 1983.

Toccoa station is an Amtrak train station in Toccoa, Georgia, served by the daily Crescent. The first station in Dry Pond (later Toccoa) opened on the Atlanta and Richmond Air-Line Railway in 1870. A new station building was constructed in 1915. It was restored from 2005 to 2009. The structure was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2011 as part of the Toccoa Downtown Historic District.

Stephens County Courthouse is a building in Toccoa, the county seat of Stephens County, Georgia, United States. It is the location of the county's trial courtrooms as well as that of other county government offices. The property was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1980.

The Walters-Davis House, at 429 E. Tugalo St. in Toccoa in Stephens County, Georgia, was built in 1906. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a one-story late Victorian Eclectic-style house. It was deemed significant architecturally and for its association with Judge Ben Davis, who occupied the house in 1912, purchased it in 1915, and lived in it until his death.Davis was President of the Stephens County Bar Association for 20 years and also served as Recorder for the City of Toccoa and as Judge of City Police and Justice Courts.It was built by master builder E.L. Prater (1872-1950), who also built the NRHP-listed James B. Simmons House (1903) and the Stephens County Jail, both in Toccoa, as well as a bank in Taylorsville and the NRHP-listed Candler Street School (1911) in Gainesville, Georgia.The listing included a second contributing building, originally an outhouse and coal storage building, now a storage building.The property was acquired by the Toccoa First United Methodist Church, located at 333 E. Tugalo St., in 1984, and serves as offices for the church.

Camp Toccoa (formerly Camp Toombs) was a basic training camp for United States Army paratroopers during World War II, located five miles (eight kilometers) west of Toccoa, Georgia. Among the units to train at the camp was the 506th Infantry Regiment. The regiment's Company E ("Easy Company") was portrayed in the 2001 HBO miniseries Band of Brothers.
