Ayersville is an unincorporated community in Stephens County, in the U.S. state of Georgia. A variant name was "Ayers".

Currahee Mountain is a mountain located in Stephens County, Georgia, near Toccoa. The name appears to be derived from the Cherokee word ᏊᏩᎯ (quu-wa-hi) meaning "stand alone." Technically a part of the Georgia Piedmont or "foothill" province, Currahee Mountain rises abruptly about 800 vertical feet (240 m) above the local topography and is the highest peak in Stephens County. Part of the mountain is in the Chattahoochee National Forest. On clear days, the peak's 1,735-foot (529 m) summit is visible for many miles and is a prominent landmark to the southeast of Georgia's Blue Ridge Mountain crest. Currahee Mountain is one of the landmarks used in the Treaty of Hopewell. It was also used by Benjamin Hawkins to run the Hawkins Line.On October 12, 1864, Confederate troops defeated Union troops at the Battle of Narrows, also called the Battle of Currahee, during the Civil War. Casualties were small and the wounded were cared for by neighbors. The mountain is featured in Tom Hanks' and Steven Spielberg's television miniseries Band of Brothers, in which it was a training site of the American Paratroopers at Camp Toccoa, Georgia, where they ran up and down Currahee. The name of the mountain became a motto for these paratroopers, and inspired the quote "Three miles up, three miles down." The Colonel Robert F. Sink memorial trail follows Currahee Mountain Road from the site of former Camp Toccoa to the summit of Currahee Mountain. The start of the trail is marked by a commemorative plaque dedicating the trail to "Col. Bob" Sink from the Five-O-Sinks (506th Parachute Infantry Regiment Association). The trail is currently the venue for the Annual Currahee Challenge, a three- and six-mile race on the mountain that occurs in the fall. There is also a Run the first Saturday of June called the D Day Run held by the Camp Toccoa at Currahee organization. It is also a popular destination for rock climbing and rappelling. One of the radio towers at the top holds NOAA Weather Radio station WWH24, serving parts of northeast Georgia and upstate South Carolina from NWS Greer.

The station is owned by Radio Training Network of Greenville, South Carolina, and is part of its His Radio Praise network carrying a contemporary worship music format. Prior to being owned by RTN, WTXR was the student-run campus radio station of Toccoa Falls College.

New Switzerland is an unincorporated community in Habersham County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The Walters-Davis House, at 429 E. Tugalo St. in Toccoa in Stephens County, Georgia, was built in 1906. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982.It is a one-story late Victorian Eclectic-style house. It was deemed significant architecturally and for its association with Judge Ben Davis, who occupied the house in 1912, purchased it in 1915, and lived in it until his death.Davis was President of the Stephens County Bar Association for 20 years and also served as Recorder for the City of Toccoa and as Judge of City Police and Justice Courts.It was built by master builder E.L. Prater (1872-1950), who also built the NRHP-listed James B. Simmons House (1903) and the Stephens County Jail, both in Toccoa, as well as a bank in Taylorsville and the NRHP-listed Candler Street School (1911) in Gainesville, Georgia.The listing included a second contributing building, originally an outhouse and coal storage building, now a storage building.The property was acquired by the Toccoa First United Methodist Church, located at 333 E. Tugalo St., in 1984, and serves as offices for the church.

Mount Airy is a town in Habersham County, Georgia, United States. The population was 1,284 at the 2010 census, up from 604 at the 2000 census.

Chenocetah Mountain, known to locals as "Tower Mountain," is located near the towns of Mount Airy and Cornelia, Georgia. The mountain has an elevation of 1,830 feet (560 m). Atop the mountain, the WPA built an observation tower in 1937 for the Forest Service; it is used as a fire tower for observation by rangers. Chenocetah is a Cherokee language word meaning "see all around." Variant names were "Griffin Mountain" and "Tower Mountain".Occasionally visitors are allowed in. During Cornelia's annual Big Red Apple Festival, visitors are allowed into the tower to enjoy its panoramic view of the surrounding hills and valleys.
