Markham is a neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon. Markham is bordered by Multnomah and South Burlingame on the north, Marshall Park on the east, Arnold Creek on the south, and West Portland Park on the west. Part of Maricara Natural Area (1988) is located in Markham (as well as in Arnold Creek).

Riverdale High School is a public high school in the Dunthorpe neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, United States. The high school is unique in that it is a public school, but students from outside the district must go through an admissions process and pay tuition to attend, unless they get a district transfer from their original district. According to 24/7 Wall St.'s analysis of U.S. Census data from 2006 through 2010, the Riverdale School District is the third richest school district in the United States.

Arnold Creek is a neighborhood (and a creek) in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon, just north of the city of Lake Oswego and Clackamas County. It borders West Portland Park to the west, Markham and Marshall Park to the north, Collins View and Tryon Creek State Natural Area to the east, and Lake Oswego and the unincorporated Multnomah County enclave of Englewood to the south. Part of Maricara Natural Area (1988) is located in Arnold Creek (as well as in Markham).

It is bordered by Multnomah to the west, Hillsdale and South Portland to the north, the River View Cemetery to the east, and Markham, Marshall Park, and Collins View to the south. Interstate 5 cuts through the northern part of the neighborhood, separating the Fulton Park area from the rest of South Burlingame.

The Arnold–Park Log Home is a historic house, located in Portland, Oregon, United States. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is preserved by the State of Oregon within the Tryon Creek State Natural Area.

The Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery is a cemetery for American Civil War veterans in the U.S. city of Portland, Oregon. It is located at S.W. Palatine Hill Road and S.W. Boones Ferry Road, next to River View Cemetery. Fourteen Union Civil War veterans, members of the Grand Army of the Republic, formed the Grand Army Cemetery Association and purchased the cemetery in 1882. The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War took over the management and administration of the cemetery at that time.Ownership of the cemetery eventually passed to the State of Oregon in 1961 then to Multnomah County, Oregon in 1971. In 1996 ownership was granted to Metro Regional Parks and Greenspaces. The oldest marker is dated October 15, 1889.Salmon Brown, son of John Brown (of the song "John Brown's Body") is buried here, as is Hartwell B. Compson, who received the Medal of Honor for heroism in the Civil War.

The law school received ABA approval in 1970 and joined the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) in 1973.Lewis & Clark Law School offers the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, including a range of scholastic concentrations and legal certificate programs, as well as a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in environmental, natural resources, and energy law and an LLM degree in animal law. Each class in the three-year J.D. program has approximately 180 students. The dean of Lewis & Clark Law School is Jennifer J. Johnson, Erskine Wood Sr. endowed Professor of Law, a securities law scholar and arbitration expert, as well as a member of the American Law Institute.Lewis & Clark law students can complete their degrees on full-time or part-time schedules, take courses during the day or evening, and focus in a number of legal specialties. The institution has a general law review and a range of specialty programs, including environmental law, public interest law, and the lawyering program. According to Lewis & Clark's official 2018 ABA-required disclosures, 75.8% of the Class of 2018 obtained full-time, long-term, JD-required or JD-preferred employment nine months after graduation.

Collins View is a neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon. It borders the neighborhoods of Marshall Park and Arnold Creek to the west, Tryon Creek State Natural Area to the south, Dunthorpe (in unincorporated Multnomah County), River View Cemetery and River View Natural Area to the east, and the South Burlingame neighborhood to the north. The campus of Lewis & Clark College is located the southeastern portion of the neighborhood.
