South Burlingame is a neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon. It is bordered by Multnomah to the west, Hillsdale and South Portland to the north, the River View Cemetery to the east, and Markham, Marshall Park, and Collins View to the south. Interstate 5 cuts through the northern part of the neighborhood, separating the Fulton Park area from the rest of South Burlingame.

The Grand Army of the Republic Cemetery is a cemetery for American Civil War veterans in the U.S. city of Portland, Oregon. It is located at S.W. Palatine Hill Road and S.W. Boones Ferry Road, next to River View Cemetery. Fourteen Union Civil War veterans, members of the Grand Army of the Republic, formed the Grand Army Cemetery Association and purchased the cemetery in 1882. The Daughters of Union Veterans of the Civil War took over the management and administration of the cemetery at that time.Ownership of the cemetery eventually passed to the State of Oregon in 1961 then to Multnomah County, Oregon in 1971. In 1996 ownership was granted to Metro Regional Parks and Greenspaces. The oldest marker is dated October 15, 1889.Salmon Brown, son of John Brown (of the song "John Brown's Body") is buried here, as is Hartwell B. Compson, who received the Medal of Honor for heroism in the Civil War.

Riverdale High School is a public high school in the Dunthorpe neighborhood of Portland, Oregon, United States. The high school is unique in that it is a public school, but students from outside the district must go through an admissions process and pay tuition to attend, unless they get a district transfer from their original district. According to 24/7 Wall St.'s analysis of U.S. Census data from 2006 through 2010, the Riverdale School District is the third richest school district in the United States.

Fulton Park is an 8.5-acre (3.4 ha) public park in southwest Portland, Oregon. The space was acquired in 1941.

River View Cemetery is a non-profit cemetery located in the southwest section of Portland, Oregon. Founded in 1882, it is the final resting place of many prominent and notable citizens of Oregon, including many governors and members of the United States Senate. Other notable burials include Henry Weinhard's family, W.A.S.P Pilot Hazel Ying Lee, football player Lyle Alzado, baseball layer Carl Mays, and famous western lawman Virgil Earp.

The Northwestern School of Law of Lewis and Clark College (also known as Lewis & Clark Law School), is an American Bar Association-approved private law school in Portland, Oregon. The law school received ABA approval in 1970 and joined the Association of American Law Schools (AALS) in 1973.Lewis & Clark Law School offers the Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree, including a range of scholastic concentrations and legal certificate programs, as well as a Master of Laws (LLM) degree in environmental, natural resources, and energy law and an LLM degree in animal law. Each class in the three-year J.D. program has approximately 180 students. The dean of Lewis & Clark Law School is Jennifer J. Johnson, Erskine Wood Sr. endowed Professor of Law, a securities law scholar and arbitration expert, as well as a member of the American Law Institute.Lewis & Clark law students can complete their degrees on full-time or part-time schedules, take courses during the day or evening, and focus in a number of legal specialties. The institution has a general law review and a range of specialty programs, including environmental law, public interest law, and the lawyering program. According to Lewis & Clark's official 2018 ABA-required disclosures, 75.8% of the Class of 2018 obtained full-time, long-term, JD-required or JD-preferred employment nine months after graduation.

Collins View is a neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon. It borders the neighborhoods of Marshall Park and Arnold Creek to the west, Tryon Creek State Natural Area to the south, Dunthorpe (in unincorporated Multnomah County), River View Cemetery and River View Natural Area to the east, and the South Burlingame neighborhood to the north. The campus of Lewis & Clark College is located the southeastern portion of the neighborhood.

The Spanish–American War Veterans Memorial, also known as the Soldier's Monument and Graves, is an outdoor memorial commemorating those who fought in the Spanish–American War, installed at Portland, Oregon's River View Cemetery, in the United States. The memorial is located near the cemetery's Southwest Taylors Ferry Road entrance where 165 headstones surround the statue.

Marshall Park is a neighborhood in the Southwest section of Portland, Oregon. It gets its name from the adjacent Marshall Park donated to the City of Portland by Frederick C. and Addie Mae Marshall in 1948. It borders Markham to the west and north, South Burlingame to the north, Collins View to the east, and Arnold Creek to the south. Parks in the neighborhood include Jensen Natural Area (1996), Foley-Balmer Natural Area (1996) and Marshall Park (1948).

Butterfly Park is a city park of about 1 acre (0.4 ha) in south Portland, in the U.S. state of Oregon. Located at 7720 Southwest Macadam Avenue, the park includes a natural area and walking paths near the Willamette River. The natural area provides important habitat for butterflies, including mourning cloaks and orange sulphurs.The Greenway Trail, part of the 40-Mile Loop, links Butterfly Park to Miles Place and Willamette Park on the north as well as the Willamette Moorage Natural Area, the Sellwood Bridge, and Powers Marine Park, all on the south. Slightly south of Butterfly Park, Stephens Creek empties into the Willamette. Oaks Amusement Park and Sellwood Riverfront Park are on the river's east bank, opposite Butterfly Park.At the park entrance, a rock garden near an interpretive sign features columbines, penstemon, fireweed, and other flowering plants. Vegetation in the park, once dominated by Himalayan blackberries, includes native grasses, wildflowers, and dogwood. Cedar waxwings, killdeer, orioles, chickadees, and other birds frequent the park. A bench along the trail offers views of Ross Island and other spots along the river.It took about 10 years to organize and develop the park, formerly a "derelict patch of land" near the Macadam Bay Club, a residential houseboat community. The South Portland Neighborhood Association worked with Portland Parks & Recreation to complete the work. The park is "one of the region's smallest, but most biologically productive" greenspaces.

Griswold Stadium is an American football and soccer stadium which serves as the home of the Lewis & Clark Pioneers football and soccer teams. It is located in Portland, Oregon, featuring an AstroTurf field and a seating capacity of 3,500. It has hosted track and field events as well. The land that the stadium sits on was forested before it was built. In 1952, Graham Griswold donated US$25,000 and lumber towards the erection of a new football stadium, complete with grandstands. The first game that occurred at the stadium took place on October 10, 1953, with Lewis & Clark against the Linfield Wildcats football team. It was officially named "Griswold Stadium" in 1954 after the benefactor of the construction project. In 2003, lights were installed at Griswold Stadium allowing for night games. The AstroTurf (GameDay Grass 3D brand) playing surface was purchased for the field in 2010. The school dedicated the field to former player and coach Fred Wilson that year. Located in the stadium is the Eldon Fix Track which was last resurfaced in 1999. In 2012, the grandstands were rebuilt to allow for 3,000 general admission seats and 500 VIP seats. In 1955, the Oregon state high school cross country championships took place at Griswold Stadium.
