Michelin House

The Grabowski Gallery was an avant-garde art gallery opened in 1959 in London's Chelsea by Mateusz Grabowski, anticipating the Swinging Sixties. It hosted some of the earliest shows of the rising pop art movement and was the first venue in London to bring op art to the public. It launched the careers of some of Britain's and the British Commonwealth's leading exponents of two- and three-dimensional art and fostered émigré artists from Europe, the Caribbean and the Commonwealth. By the time it closed its doors in 1975 it had mounted around two hundred shows. When the gallery closed Mateusz Grabowski donated his collection of works from the gallery to the Museum of Art in Łódź and the National Museum in Warsaw, Poland.

On Tuesday evening 18 November 1975 an Irish Republican Army (IRA) unit nicknamed the Balcombe Street Gang, without warning, threw a bomb into Walton's Restaurant in Walton Street, Knightsbridge, London, killing two people and injuring almost two dozen others.

Alexander Square is a garden square in London's Chelsea district, SW3. The communal garden at the centre of the development is 0.1226 hectares (0.303 acres) in size. In 1826 John Alexander, the inheritor of the Thurlow Estate as a descendant of the first husband of Anna Maria Browne, drew up plans to for a speculative development with the builder James Bonnin. Alexander Square and South Street, Alfred Place, North Terrace, Alexander Place and York Cottages were subsequently built. George Basevi became the architect of the scheme when under construction in 1829.The average price of a property in Alexander Square was £7.3 million in 2019.5–12, 13–20, and 21–24 Alexander Square are listed Grade II on the National Heritage List for England.

Pelham Crescent is a circa 1825 Georgian crescent of houses in South Kensington, London SW7, England, designed by architect George Basevi. Numbers 1–14 and 15–27 are separately Grade II* listed.The private communal gardens in the centre of Pelham Crescent are 0.4345 hectares (1.074 acres) in size. The selling of garden keys to the residents of Pelham Crescent funds the maintenance of the garden. The lessees of 1-27 Pelham Crescent and 1-29 and 2-18 Pelham Place had access to the gardens as a right of their leases until the leases expirations in 1932. The freehold of the garden is owned by the Smith's Charity Estate (now owned by the Wellcome Trust).The average value of a house on the mews was £7.3 million in 2020. Actor-manager Nigel Playfair's former residence at No. 26 is marked by a London County Council blue plaque erected in 1965 and Francois Guizot's former home at 21 is commemorated by an English Heritage blue plaque placed in 2001.

Tom Aikens was a London Michelin-starred fine dining restaurant operated by the eponymous chef from April 2003 opening to January 2014 closure. The restaurant received mostly positive critical reception.

Elystan Street is a London restaurant co-owned by chef patron Phil Howard and Rebecca Mascarenhas. Howard and Mascarenhas established the restaurant on 27 September 2016, six months after Howard sold and left his previous restaurant The Square. Elystan Street earned its first Michelin star in October 2017 and has retained it since.

The Franklin London - Starhotels Collezione is a luxury 5-star hotel in London, England. It is located at 22-28 Egerton Gardens, Knightsbridge on the borders of Chelsea. The hotel was built from merging four Victorian townhouses into one in 1992. The hotel is located near Brompton Road and Sloane Street and in close proximity to the Victoria and Albert Museum, Buckingham Palace and Kensington Palace. It was closed for renovation in 2009, and reopened in 2016.

Pelham Place is a street of Grade II* listed Georgian terraced houses in South Kensington, London, England. Pelham Place runs north to south from Pelham Place to Pelham Crescent. 2-14 is a circa 1825 terrace. 1-29 is an 1833 terrace, designed by the architect George Basevi. 1-29 is similarly grade II listed.In 1950, the British-born American winemaker Peter Newton met his future wife, Anne St. Aubyn at a party in his house in Pelham Place.Mel Brooks briefly lived in Pelham Place in the 1950s, while working at the BBC on the Sid Caesar show.In 1967, Cecil Beaton photographed the model Twiggy wearing a yellow velvet dress by John Bates for Jean Varon in the residence of 8 Pelham Place, for an editorial for Vogue. Beaton lived here from 1940 to 1975. This was later the home of Jane, Lady Abdy.

Cale Street is a street in Chelsea, London. It runs between Dovehouse Street in the west and the junction of Elystan Street and Elystan Place in the east. It originally formed the southern boundary of Chelsea Common. The street was laid out in 1836, and was called Bond Street at the western end and College Place at the eastern but was later renamed Cale Street in honour of Judith Cale, a benefactor to the parish.
