The Chandigarh Group of Colleges (or CGC) are the educational institutions located in Mohali district of Punjab in short distance from cities of Chandigarh and Mohali. Chandigarh Group of Colleges was established in 2001 at Landran initially and at Jhanjeri in 2012.

Chapar Chiri (Punjabi: ਚੱਪੜ ਚਿੜੀ) is a small village located in the Mohali district of Punjab, India. It is near Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar city and is 14 km west of Chandigarh. The village is famous due to Fateh Burj (English: The Victory Tower; Punjabi: ਫਤਿਹ ਬੁਰਜ) is the tallest victory tower (minar) in the country. The 420 ft tower is dedicated to the establishment of Sikh rule in India in 1710. It is also known as Baba Banda Singh Bahadur War Memorial. It was here that Banda Singh Bahadur, one of the most respected Sikh warriors, won a decisive battle against Wazir Khan, commander of the Mughal army.[3]

The Fateh Burj (English: The Victory Tower; Punjabi: ਫਤਿਹ ਬੁਰਜ), a prominent tourist site in Punjab and the tallest tower in India, is situated in the historical village of Chappar Chiri in the SAS Nagar district (Mohali district) of Punjab state. It was completed in 2011. The 328 feet (100 m) tower is dedicated to establishment of the Sikh Misls in a large part of Punjab in 1711. It is situated in Banda Singh Bahadur Road. It is situated just outside Mohali, a 140kilometres from Amritsar and 20 km from Sirhind. It was here that Banda Singh Bahadur, one of the most respected and great Sikh warriors, won a decisive battle against Wazir Khan, commander of the Mughal army.

Kharar is a town and a municipal council in Mohali district in the state of Punjab, India. It is nearby Mohali city. Kharar is located at 30.74°N 76.65°E / 30.74; 76.65 and has an average elevation of 309 metres (1,014 feet). The area of Kharar is part of the "Greater Mohali" region.

S.A.S. (Sahibzada Ajit Singh) Nagar Assembly constituency is one of the 117 Legislative Assembly constituencies of Punjab state in India. It is part of Mohali district.

Guru Gobind Singh College of Modern Technology is a private college located at Kharar, Punjab, India. The college curriculum focuses on undergraduate and postgraduate engineering and business management studies. The college is privately supported and is affiliated to the Punjab Technical University, Jalandhar. It is recognized by the All India Council for Technical Education, New Delhi and the government of Punjab. The college is promoted by Shri Guru Gobind Singh Foundation, Mohali.

Mohali, officially known as Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, is a planned city in the Mohali district in Punjab, India, which is an administrative and a commercial hub lying south-west of Chandigarh. It is the headquarters of the Mohali district and one of the six Municipal Corporations of the State. It was officially named after Sahibzada Ajit Singh, the eldest son of Guru Gobind Singh. Mohali has developed rapidly as an IT hub of the state of Punjab, and has thus grown in importance. The Government of Punjab has initiated significant infrastructure and recreation projects in attempts to increase the standard of living in Mohali. Roads have been built to create networks between Mohali and Chandigarh International Airport to boost its international connectivity.Mohali was earlier a part of the Rupnagar district and was carved out and made a part of a separate district in 2006.

Rayat-Bahra University (RBU) is an Indian private university located in Mohali, Punjab. The university was established in 2014 under The Rayat-Bahra University Act, 2014 by Rayat Bahra Group. The incumbent vice chancellor of RBU is Prof. (Dr.) Parvinder Singh.

Sector 70 is a residential and historical sector located in Mohali, Punjab. It is covered with Mattaur, Sector 71, Sohana, Sector 69 and Phase 7, Mohali. There are many parks, around 10, in locality among which famous is Musical Fountain Park for evening stroll and recreation activities. There are many residential complex, apartments and societies. A historical Gurdwara named Gurdwara Mata Sunder Kaur, commemorates visit of Mata Sundari, Baba Deep Singh and Bhai Mani Singh, is situated in locality and managed by Budha Dal. Adjacent Mattaur village, also known as Komagata Maru Nagar is famous for hosting of All India Congress session in 1975 where Mrs Indra Gandhi also attended the session.
