The City of Darebin is a local government area in Victoria, Australia, in the northern suburbs of Melbourne. It has an area of 54 square kilometres (20.8 sq mi) and in June 2018 Darebin had a population of 161,609. Municipal offices are located at 350 High Street, Preston. Darebin was rated 386th of 590 Australian Local Government Areas in the BankWest Quality of Life Index 2008.

The Macedonian Evangelical United Church (Macedonian: Македонската Евангелска Обединета Црква, Makedonska Evangelska Obedineta Crkva) is the Macedonian parish of the Uniting Church in Australia (UCA) located in Preston, a suburb of northern Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. The Methodist Church parish of the UCA was formed during the mid 1970s and links are maintained between Preston church and the Evangelical Methodist Church based in the Balkans.

Northland Shopping Centre is a major shopping centre in Preston, approximately 11 km north of the Melbourne Central Business District in Victoria. It is the largest predominantly single-level shopping centre in Melbourne. It has more than 330 stores all spread over one floor apart from the cinemas and Pancake Parlour on a smaller top level. The Division of Batman was an Australian Electoral Division in the state of Victoria. It took its name from John Batman, one of the founders of the city of Melbourne. The division was created in 1906, replacing the Division of Northern Melbourne, and was abolished in 2019 and replaced by the Division of Cooper.The division was located in Melbourne's northern suburbs. It covered an area of approximately 66 square kilometres (25 sq mi) from Thomastown/Bundoora in the north to Clifton Hill in the south, with Merri Creek providing the vast majority of the western boundary and Darebin Creek, parts of Macleod and Plenty Road in Bundoora providing the eastern boundary. The suburbs of Alphington, Clifton Hill, Fairfield, Kingsbury, Northcote, Preston, Reservoir, and Thornbury; and parts of Bundoora, Coburg North, Macleod, and Thomastown were in this division.Held by Labor for all but 10 years of its history, Batman has traditionally been a safe Labor seat. However, the Greens have made the seat a contest since 2010, where they reduced Labor from a 26.0% margin to a 7.9% margin. Though Labor increased their margin against the Greens to 10.6% in 2013, the Greens reduced Labor's margin to just 1.0% in 2016. At the 2018 Batman by-election however, Labor increased their margin to 4.4% against the Greens.In June 2018, the Australian Electoral Commission announced that, at the 2019 Australian federal election, the division would be re-named Cooper, after Aboriginal community leader and activist William Cooper.

Reservoir High School is a medium-sized co-educational, year 7 to 12 public high school, with approximately 700 students in Reservoir, Victoria, Australia. The school has a well established International Student Program. The program includes students from a range of countries such as China, Vietnam, Nepal, Thailand, India and Saudi Arabia. Reservoir High School is one of a select group of secondary colleges to be accredited to offer advanced learning classes (SEAL or Select Entry Accelerated Learning). Olympic Park or Olympic Village is a rectangular football ground located in Heidelberg West on the western fringe of the City of Banyule, was built for the 1956 Olympic Games in Melbourne, Australia. The park is an established sport and community recreation reserve with a significant history and was once used as a prominent training base for the 1956 Olympic Games. Olympic Park is home to Heidelberg United FC in the National Premier Leagues is now a high-profile soccer and cricket venue which also provides a range of other sport, recreation and open space opportunities. The adjacent residential area was the athletes village is now known as Olympic Village. The Olympic Park is also home to Barrbunin Beek, a gathering place for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in and around Banyule. The increased demand to provide functional and appropriate levels of sport and recreation infrastructure, and the shift towards more informal and casual recreation pursuits, prompted Council to develop a Master Plan for Olympic Park. In 2020 the park was renovated to include a football(soccer) field. The original athletics track is still was decomishend as it was in poor condition. The total capacity of the ground is 12,000. A crowd of 11,372 people turned up to watch the 2015 FFA Cup quarter final match between Heidelberg United and Melbourne City. This was the second highest crowd in FFA Cup history.

The district was abolished in a redistribution in 1927, replaced by the electoral district of Northcote.

Kingsbury is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 12 km (7.5 mi) north-east of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Darebin local government area. Kingsbury recorded a population of 3,460 at the 2021 census.The suburb was named after Bruce Kingsbury VC, who died in Papua New Guinea during the Second World War.
