Long and Third Commercial Building

Continental Center is a 26-story, 348 ft (106 m) skyscraper in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is the 14th tallest building in Columbus. It was completed in 1973 and designed by architectural firm Brubaker/Brandt, Inc. The building follows a modernist architectural style and has been known as the Ohio Bell Building and the Ameritech Building. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Standard Building, also known as the Blue Cross Building or as the Gugle Building, is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was built in 1912. Early tenants included the Lancaster Tire & Rubber Company, the Mutual Life Insurance Company, Irwin Manufacturing Company, and the Grid Graph Company. It also served as the regional headquarters of Standard Oil of Ohio, from 1917 to 1955, occupying its sixth (top) floor. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the Columbus Register of Historic Properties in 2019. Also in 2019, the building owner Connect Real Estate began redeveloping the building into apartments, with 45 units, including 35 micro studio apartments and 10 one-bedroom units. Connect Real Estate sought the building's historic listings for tax credits in refurbishing it. The realty company owns the adjacent Winders Motor Sales Company building, which it has separately listed on historic registers to make restoration more affordable.

The Law and Finance Building is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was built in 1927 for the Ohio State Savings Association, a local bank. It was designed in the Art Moderne style by architects Simons, Brittain & English. For a short time, the building held the offices of its architects, and was the central office of sorority Kappa Kappa Gamma from 1929 to 1952. The building now holds office space, and has a steakhouse on the original banking lobby floor.

The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) is an arts organization in Columbus, Ohio. The council funds artists and organizations in Central Ohio, and hosts the annual Columbus Arts Festival.

The Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel is a Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The hotel has 22 stories, and was designed by Columbus architects Kellam & Foley in the International style. The building was built on the site of the Virginia Hotel and Columbus Citizen building, both demolished in 1961 to make room for the new hotel. It opened as the Columbus Plaza Hotel in 1963, and became a Sheraton Hotel in 1965, operating until 1987. Numerous plans fell through, and the hotel remained vacant for about a decade. In 1997, it reopened as the Adam's Mark, after extensive renovations. The hotel remained open during a 2005-2006 renovation, converting it into a Marriott Renaissance hotel.

The Buckeye Building, also known as the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company Building, is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The 16-story building was built from 1926 to 1927. It was the headquarters for the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company, and after 1949 for the Buckeye Federal Savings and Loans Association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The building was converted into a hotel, opening as a Marriott Residence Inn in 2008.

Mount Vernon is a predominantly African-American historic neighborhood in Columbus, Ohio, United States. The neighborhood lies within the historic Near East Side community. Mount Vernon borders Interstates 71 and 670. Its main thoroughfares, Mount Vernon Avenue, Long Street, Atcheson Street, and Champion Avenue define the community's limits.

Franklin County is a county in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 1,323,807, making it the most populous county in Ohio. Most of its land area is taken up by its county seat, Columbus, the state capital and most populous city in Ohio. The county was established on April 30, 1803, less than two months after Ohio became a state, and was named after Benjamin Franklin. Franklin County originally extended north to Lake Erie before being subdivided into smaller counties. Franklin County is the central county of the Columbus, OH Metropolitan Statistical Area. Franklin County, particularly Columbus, has been a centerpiece for presidential and congressional politics, most notably the 2000 presidential election, the 2004 presidential election, and the 2006 midterm elections. Franklin County is home to one of the largest universities in the United States, Ohio State University, which has about 60,000 students on its main Columbus campus.It shares a name with Franklin County in Kentucky, where Frankfort is located. This makes it one of two pairs of capital cities in counties of the same name, along with Marion Counties in Indiana and Oregon.

Skylab Gallery is an independently run gallery and performance space in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It has been active since at least the year 2000, serving as a significant exhibition space for the independent art community in Columbus. The Space Station Skylab has most notably been a significant venue for the contemporary underground experimental music and noise rock scene, hosting local, national, and international performers. The other floors of the building have been consistently occupied by artists as well.

Downtown Columbus is the central business district of Columbus, Ohio. Downtown is centered on the intersection of Broad and High Streets, and encompasses all of the area inside the Inner Belt. Downtown is home to most of the tallest buildings in Columbus. The state capitol, the Ohio Statehouse, is located in the center of downtown on Capitol Square. Downtown is also home to Columbus State Community College, Franklin University, Columbus College of Art and Design, Grant Medical Center, Capital University Law School, as well as the Main Library of the Columbus Metropolitan Library, the pioneering Main Street Bridge, and many parks. Downtown has many neighborhoods or districts, but it can be separated into three main areas: the Discovery District, the High Street Corridor, and the Riverfront. Downtown also includes the Arena District, Capitol Square, and the Columbus Civic Center. The Short North, Italian Village, and Victorian Village are directly north of downtown. Olde Towne East and King-Lincoln Bronzeville are directly east, while the Brewery District and German Village are directly south of Downtown. Franklinton is to the west of downtown. Almost 90,000 people are employed downtown, and more than 33,000 students attend school at one of the many institutions of higher education located there. As of 2022, Downtown is home to about 11,200 residents.

The Masonic Temple is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was constructed as a meeting hall for local area Masonic lodges in 1899, and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1997.The building was first designed in 1898 by Yost & Packard, Kremer & Hart and John M. Freese. It was substantially expanded in 1912-13 under the design of Stribling & Lum, and was renovated further in 1935. By the 1913 renovation, it was considered the largest building used solely for the Masonic order. At a later date it housed a commercial catering venue for weddings and other events.

The Atlas Building, originally the Columbus Savings & Trust Building, is a high-rise building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio, built in 1905 and designed by Frank Packard. It was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. The building has seen two major renovations, in 1982 and 2014.
