The Buckeye Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonpartisan, free-market public policy think tank. The organization, based in Columbus, Ohio, says its mission is "to advance free-market public policy in the states."

The Renaissance Columbus Downtown Hotel is a Renaissance Hotel in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The hotel has 22 stories, and was designed by Columbus architects Kellam & Foley in the International style. The building was built on the site of the Virginia Hotel and Columbus Citizen building, both demolished in 1961 to make room for the new hotel. It opened as the Columbus Plaza Hotel in 1963, and became a Sheraton Hotel in 1965, operating until 1987. Numerous plans fell through, and the hotel remained vacant for about a decade. In 1997, it reopened as the Adam's Mark, after extensive renovations. The hotel remained open during a 2005-2006 renovation, converting it into a Marriott Renaissance hotel.

Skylab Gallery is an independently run gallery and performance space in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It has been active since at least the year 2000, serving as a significant exhibition space for the independent art community in Columbus. The Space Station Skylab has most notably been a significant venue for the contemporary underground experimental music and noise rock scene, hosting local, national, and international performers. The other floors of the building have been consistently occupied by artists as well.

The Key Bank Building is a 253 ft (77 m) tall skyscraper on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was completed in 1963 and has 20 floors. It is the 25th tallest building in Columbus and has 265,000 sq ft (24,600 m2) of floor space.

Chase Tower is a 357 ft-tall (109 m) skyscraper located at 100 East Broad Street in Columbus, Ohio. It was completed in 1964 and has 25 floors. It is the 12th tallest building in Columbus and was the tallest constructed in the 1960s. The building served as the headquarters of Bank One prior to its merger with First Chicago NBD, and was known as the Bank One Tower. The building was designed by the architectural firm Harrison & Abramovitz and it follows the international architectural style. The Columbus Center also employs a curtain wall facade system. In April 2021, Chase consolidated its offices, vacating the three floors it occupied in Chase Tower. The building's Chase bank branch and name are still to remain.

Governor James A. Rhodes is a 1982 bronze sculpture depicting politician Jim Rhodes by Gary Ross, installed along East Broad Street in front of the Rhodes State Office Tower in Columbus, Ohio, United States.

The James A. Rhodes State Office Tower is a 41-story, 629 ft (192 m) skyscraper on Capitol Square in downtown Columbus, Ohio. The Rhodes Tower was completed and occupied in 1974, and is currently the tallest building in Columbus and the fifth tallest in Ohio. Currently, approximately 4,000 state employees work in the building. Construction costs totaled approximately $66 million, and necessitated demolition of the Columbus Board of Trade Building and Spahr Building. It is named after Ohio's longest-serving governor, James A. Rhodes. The building's odd shape is attributed to a last-minute decision to cap its height; originally, the building was supposed to be nearly 150 ft (46 m) taller.Rhodes Tower contains 1,200,000 sq ft (110,000 m2) of office space. The offices and courtroom for the Ohio Supreme Court were at one time located in the Rhodes Office Tower, having moved from the Judiciary Annex of the Statehouse. The court left the building for its own facility, the Ohio Judicial Center, in 2004. The Rhodes State Office Tower is located right behind the LeVeque Tower when viewing downtown Columbus from the west. The Columbus Board of Trade Building was demolished to make way for the skyscraper.

The Buckeye Building, also known as the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company Building, is a historic building in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The 16-story building was built from 1926 to 1927. It was the headquarters for the Buckeye State Building and Loan Company, and after 1949 for the Buckeye Federal Savings and Loans Association. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 2004. The building was converted into a hotel, opening as a Marriott Residence Inn in 2008.

The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA ) is a public transit agency serving the Columbus metropolitan area, headquartered in Columbus, Ohio. It operates fixed-route buses, bus rapid transit, microtransit, and paratransit services. COTA's headquarters are located in the William J. Lhota Building in downtown Columbus. The agency is managed by President and CEO Joanna Pinkerton along with a 13-member board of trustees. COTA is funded by a permanent 0.25% sales tax as well as another 10-year 0.25% sales tax.The agency was founded in 1971, replacing the private Columbus Transit Company. Mass transit service in the city dates to 1863, progressively with horsecars, streetcars, and buses. The Central Ohio Transit Authority began operating in 1974 and has made gradual improvements to its fleet and network. Its first bus network redesign took place in 2017. The 2010s have also seen noted service improvements, with the addition of the CBUS free downtown circulator in 2014, its AirConnect airport service in 2016, and the CMAX bus rapid transit service in 2018. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the agency dealt with declining ridership and staffing, and cut services in response. COTA nevertheless plans to operate several bus rapid transit lines in development in the near future.

Continental Center is a 26-story, 348 ft (106 m) skyscraper in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It is the 14th tallest building in Columbus. It was completed in 1973 and designed by architectural firm Brubaker/Brandt, Inc. The building follows a modernist architectural style and has been known as the Ohio Bell Building and the Ameritech Building. The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places in 2021.

The Columbus Board of Trade Building was a historic building on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The building was built in 1889 for the present-day Columbus Chamber of Commerce, and was designed by Elah Terrell and Joseph W. Yost. It became vacant in 1964 and was demolished five years later. The Rhodes State Office Tower sits on the site today.

Trinity Episcopal Church is a historic church on Capitol Square in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. It was built in 1866 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1976. The church features "The Church in the World", a stained glass window featuring Columbus landmarks and installed in 1965. Items depicted include a former Columbus flag, Ohio Stadium, the Ohio Statehouse, the LeVeque Tower, John Glenn Columbus International Airport, the Main Library and the statue of Christopher Columbus formerly at City Hall.
