Yaletown–Roundhouse is an underground station on the Canada Line of Metro Vancouver's SkyTrain rapid transit system. The station is located on Davie Street at Mainland Street, approximately 80 metres (260 ft) northwest of Pacific Boulevard, and serves the residential and retail areas of Yaletown and Downtown Vancouver in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

False Creek (French: Faux ruisseau) is a short narrow inlet in the heart of Vancouver, separating the Downtown and West End neighbourhoods from the rest of the city. It is one of the four main bodies of water bordering Vancouver, along with English Bay (of which it is an inland extension), Burrard Inlet and the Fraser River. Granville Island is located within the inlet. George Henry Richards named False Creek during his hydrographic survey of 1856-63. While traveling along the south side of the Burrard Inlet, Richards thought he was traversing a creek; upon discovering his error, he gave the inlet its current name.The inlet opens into the English Bay to its northwest, and is surrounded by the Downtown and West End neighbourhoods in the north, Strathcona in the east, and Mount Pleasant, Fairview and Kitsilano in the south. Science World is located at its easternmost end, along with the BC Place Stadium and the Georgia Viaduct. Proceeding east to west, it is crossed by the Cambie, Granville, and Burrard street bridges. The Canada Line rapid transit tunnel crosses underneath False Creek just west of the Cambie Bridge. In 1986, it was the location of the Expo 86 World's Fair. False Creek South is a neighbourhood that runs along the inlet starting under the Granville bridge and runs until under the Cambie bridge to the east. Southeast False Creek (Olympic Village) starts from Cambie Street to Main Street.

Formerly a heavy industrial area dominated by warehouses and rail yards, since Expo 86 (the 1986 World's Fair) it has been transformed into one of the most densely populated neighbourhoods in the city.

The Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver was the only property that was still owned and managed by Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts anywhere in the world.In May 2018, it was announced that the Four Seasons Hotel Vancouver will close in 2020. In January 2020, Cadillac Fairview announced that the hotel will be replaced with a new unnamed hotel, through renovating the building.

The Bunkhouse Coffeehouse, downstairs at 612 Davie Street in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, was an influential venue for folk music and poetry readings in the 1960s.Some of the performers at The Bunkhouse included Josh White, Sonny Terry and Brownie McGhee, Jose Feliciano, 3's a Crowd, David Wiffen, Brent Titcomb, Tom Northcott, Ann Mortifee, Gary Fjelgard, Joe Mock, Yeoman, The Travellers, and Blake Emmons, as well as impressionist Rich Little and comedian Pat Paulson. Sonny Terry and McGhee recorded one of their best known albums there : At The Bunkhouse (Smash, 1965). Having moved to Vancouver, Wiffen was invited to perform at The Bunkhouse club on a live ensemble album. It became Wiffen's first solo album, At The Bunkhouse Coffeehouse (Universal International, 1965), when the other invited musicians failed to show up. Gerry Berg of Yeoman said "We were the first group to play for Les Stork at the Bunkhouse in Vancouver. Blake Emmons got his start there and played the second week after us."Proprietor Les Stork operated The Bunkhouse, which served coffee and pizza, but did not serve alcohol.

The VIFF Centre (formerly the Vancouver International Film Centre and the Vancity Theatre) is a movie theatre in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, which houses the 175-seat Vancity Theatre, the 41-seat Studio Theatre, as well as the offices for the Vancouver International Film Festival. Located at 1181 Seymour Street in Downtown Vancouver, the theatre can accommodate seminars, live performances, film, video and multimedia presentations. The building, designed by Hewitt and Kwasnicky Architects, opened in September 2005 just in time for the 2005 Vancouver International Film Festival. In December of that year, the Vancity Theatre formally launched year-round repertory cinema programming. The theatre is sponsored by and named for the Vancity credit union, although prior to the complex's launch the theatre was stuck in a dispute that might have threatened the sponsorship, or even forced VIFF to refund Vancity's entire donation to the project, because it was deemed to be in conflict with the city's official naming rights policy at the time.Renovations in 2019–20, which were completed in time for the 2020 Vancouver International Film Festival, added a 41-seat Studio Theatre for smaller audience presentations, a new media lab to present new media and virtual reality projects, an education suite and a video wall in the complex's atrium.The annual Game Design Expo, hosted by Vancouver Film School's Game Design program, takes place in the Vancity Theatre.

Recreation Park was a baseball park in Vancouver, British Columbia. It was the home field of the Vancouver Beavers of the Northwestern League from 1905 through 1912. The field was on a block bounded by Homer Street (northwest, first base); Smithe Street (northeast, third base); Hamilton Street / Mainland Street (southeast, left field); and Nelson Street / Cambie Street (southwest, right field). Coincidentally, that location is about three blocks west-northwest of the eventual site of BC Place.

George Wainborn Park is a 2.5-hectare park along False Creek, located in downtown Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. It was opened in 2004 and named after George Wainborn, who served as Vancouver's Parks Commissioner for 33 years. The site of park was once home to Robertson Hackett Sawmill Company Limited since late 19th Century. Ron Baird's Spirit Catchers statue stood here for duration of Expo 86 next to Great Ramses Exhibit and McBarge before being relocated to Barrie, Ontario.

The Cambie Bridge is a six-lane symmetric, precast, varying-depth-post tension-box girder bridge spanning False Creek in Vancouver, British Columbia. The current bridge opened in 1985, but is the third bridge at the same location. Often referred to as the Cambie Street Bridge, it connects Cambie Street on the south shore of False Creek to both Nelson and Smithe Streets in the downtown peninsula. It is the easternmost of False Creek's fixed crossings; the Burrard and Granville bridges are a little more than a kilometre to the west, and the new Canada Line SkyTrain tunnel is built just west of the Cambie Bridge.
