Kharghar is a node of Navi Mumbai and it is a suburb under Panvel Municipal Corporation. It is situated at the northernmost tip of Raigad district. It was developed by the City and Industrial Development Corporation (CIDCO). Kharghar is now administered by recently established Panvel Municipal Corporation. Prashant Thakur, MLA represents Kharghar in the State Legislative Assembly as part of Panvel constituency. Kharghar is also developed as Education Hub of Navi Mumbai as many prominent schools and colleges are present in Kharghar Node.

Greenfingers Global School, often abbreviated as GFGS is a CBSE affiliated School located in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Green Fingers Global School was established in 2006. The school started its first session in the year 2006–2007. GFGS was founded by Late Shri Shankarrao Mohite Patil.

Kharghar is the fourth railway station from Panvel on the Harbour Line of the Mumbai Suburban Railway network. Local trains of the Harbour Line in the Central Railway ply between Panvel and Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus stations and the Western line is connected through the Vadala station. It takes about 65 minutes to reach Kharghar by suburban train from Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus. A new broad-gauge line will connect Kharghar to Karjat via Panvel. The line connecting to Karjat will be completed in 2019.

Bharati Vidyapeeth Institute of Technology (BVIT) is a polytechnic college in Navi Mumbai. It is located in CBD Belapur, but closer to Kharghar, being situated opposite to the Kharghar railway station. The educational institution is affiliated to MSBTE. It offers diploma courses of three years duration based on the semester pattern in various fields to students who have passed SSC or HSC.

Bharati Vidyapeeth College of Engineering (BVCoE) is a private engineering college in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai, India, established in the year 1990. The campus is located in CBD Belapur and is founded by the Bharati Vidyapeeth group. The college is permanently affiliated to University Of Mumbai and approved by All India Council for Technical Education(AICTE), New Delhi. UG courses are currently NBA accredited.

Kendriya Vihar, is a housing complex in Kharghar, Navi Mumbai developed by CGEWHO (Central Government Employees Welfare Housing Organisation), an autonomous society of Central Government, which takes care of housing of Central Government employees across India. It is the biggest project of CGEWHO and is one of the best colonies in Navi Mumbai. Mostly central government present and retired employees reside there. It has open space and recreational facilities such as gardens, children play area, etc. CGEWHO build the Kendriya Vihar complex and sold the flats to central government employees. It covers 19.03 acres of land which is centrally located in Sector 11. It is 15 minutes walking distance from Kharghar Railway Station and one of the first complexes in Kharghar. It has a federation of six registered societies. There are 1230 flats in Kendriya Vihar: 1, 2, and 3 bhk flats.

Pandavkada Falls is a waterfall located Kharghar, a suburb of Navi Mumbai. The waterfall, about 107 metres high is a type of 'plunge' waterfall in nature pouring in massive amounts of water on the rocky surface underneath.

The Central Park of Kharghar is an urban park in Navi Mumbai, India that covers an area of around 119 hectares (290 acres) spread across the city's sectors 23,24 and 25.

The Central Business District of Belapur (C.B.D Belapur) is a node of Navi Mumbai. The Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation is headquartered in Belapur. The Reserve Bank of India maintains a branch office at CBD Belapur. This area is one of the fastest developing regions in Navi Mumbai in terms of new residential and commercial construction projects. CBD Belapur is connected to other parts of Mumbai through railways, BEST & NMMT buses. It had a ferry service for traveling to Elephanta caves from Sector-11. CBD Belapur is a Central Business District of Mumbai Metropolitan Region after Vashi, Bandra-Kurla Complex, Nariman Point and Worli. CBD Belapur has been growing since the 1990s, and is now home to colleges as well as a number of technology businesses.

Kalamboli is one of the nodes of Navi Mumbai. It is a transportation hub, being situated at the junction of the Sion-Panvel Highway, NH 48, Panvel By-Pass, NH 66 and Mumbai-Pune Expressway and is among the biggest iron and steel delivery centers in India. The township, like the rest of Navi Mumbai, is divided into sectors, which are further divided into plots. The residential and commercial areas of Kalamboli are divided by the NH 4 highway. Roadpali, a region to the north of Kalamboli, is developing at a faster rate than the latter with many residential projects coming up due to availability of land. Roadpali is located along the Taloja Link Road. Kalamboli also houses the Navi Mumbai Police Headquarters. CIDCO is the nodal administrative body for Kalamboli node. Kalamboli also has a Sewage Water Treatment Plant owned by CIDCO. Kalamboli is now governed by Panvel Municipal Corporation (PMC). The terminal of Mumbai-Pune Expressway is at Kalamboli. It also has Navi Mumbai's largest marble market alongside the Sion Panvel Highway.

Kamothe is a node of Navi Mumbai which is developed and maintained by CIDCO. Kamothe is located on the Sion Panvel Highway. It is the third node after Panvel and Kalamboli towards Mumbai.
