Jacana () is a suburb in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, 14 km (8.7 mi) north of Melbourne's Central Business District, located within the City of Hume local government area. Jacana recorded a population of 2,187 at the 2021 census.Jacana is located north of the Western Ring Road, south of Johnstone Street and between the Craigieburn railway line and Moonee Ponds Creek.

Broadmeadows railway station is located on the Craigieburn line in Victoria, Australia. It serves the northern Melbourne suburb of Broadmeadows, and opened on 1 February 1873.The Melbourne–Sydney standard gauge line runs to the east of the station, and south of the station, towards Flinders Street, the Albion–Jacana freight line branches westward from the main line, providing an alternative route into Melbourne to the suburban lines via Essendon. Erinbank Secondary College was a Victorian Government secondary college that closed in 2008. The college was located in Westmeadows a north-western suburb of Melbourne, Australia. Erinbank provided a comprehensive education from years 7 through to 12 offering both VCE and VCAL qualifications at Year 11 and 12 levels. Founded in the 1970s Erinbank Secondary College was originally known as Westmeadows Heights High School before being renamed Erinbank High School after the street that the school occupied. Erinbank ceased to exist after a merger with neighbouring schools Hillcrest and Broadmeadows Secondary Colleges. The merged schools formed Hume Central Secondary College.The site that the college occupied has since been redeveloped into a residential housing estate.

It serves the northern Melbourne suburb of Glenroy, and opened on 15 February 1959.The North East standard gauge line is located to the west of the station, crossing the broad gauge suburban lines via a flyover at the Craigieburn (down) end of the station. The Albion-Jacana freight line joins the main suburban line after the flyover, and the Western Ring Road passes under the station via a short tunnel.

Broadmeadows Valley Park is an area of undeveloped land stretching from the northern extents of Meadow Heights to the southern extents of Jacana in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. A section of The Moonee Ponds Creek flows through the park with a bike track running alongside it. The park includes several sporting grounds with two Australian rules football ovals under the name Jacana Reserve located on Johnstone Street, Jacana. Also an athletics track and three soccer pitches under the name John Ilhan Memorial Reserve located on Barry Road, Broadmeadows Located in an area of the park situated in Meadow Heights are the Shankland Wetlands which house a range of introduced and native water birds, including ducks.

John Ilhan Memorial Reserve, commercially known as VPEC, Valley Park Events Centre and often referred to as Broadmeadows Valley Park, is an Australian soccer ground in Broadmeadows, a suburb of Melbourne, Victoria. It is the home of Hume City FC. The venue has a capacity of 4,000 and is the only stadium in the City of Hume that is up to NPL standard. The ground is named in honour of former Crazy John's owner John Ilhan. There are 4 soccer fields, two of which are used for juniors and training purposes, (one being a synthetic field). There is also a turf athletics track for long jump, javelin and discus with an infield soccer field. The main field contains a pavilion with underground state of the art change rooms used for senior training sessions and match days for Hume City FC. For sponsorship reasons the facility was commercially known as ABD Stadium from 2015 until 2021.
