Jatidiri Stadium is a multi-use stadium in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is home stadium of PSIS Semarang. The stadium holds 25,000 people. In addition to a stadium, in this complex there is also a sports building, swimming pool, and other sports facilities. Jatidiri Stadium was built during the reign of Governor Muhammad Ismail and inaugurated in 1991. In 2016 the stadium renovation was started by the Central Java Provincial Government through Governor Ganjar Pranowo. The renovation of the stadium was completed at the end of 2021, the renovation consisted of drainage, fields, stands, roofs, and other supporting facilities which will later become an international class stadium.

Universitas Katolik Soegijapranata (Unika) or Soegijapranata Catholic University (SCU) is a leading Catholic institution with an institutional accreditation of A. It is located in the city of Semarang, Central Java and under the auspices of the Sandjojo Foundation which is affiliated with Archdiocese of Semarang. The university is a continuation of the Indonesian Catholic University of Atmajaya Semarang Branch, which was born in 1964 and later changed its name into the Semarang Catholic Institute of Technology (I.T.K.S.) in 1973. On August 5, 1982 with the Decree of the Minister of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia dated September 24, 1983 Number 0400/0/1983, I.T.K.S. changed its name into Soegijapranata Catholic University. Soegijapanata Catholic University is one of the best private universities in Indonesia that upholds the motto: "Talent Pro Patria et Humanitate" (the best talent is dedicated to the nation-state and humanity). The university has an extensive overseas and domestic cooperation network.

Diponegoro University (Javanese: ꦈꦤꦶꦥ꦳ꦼꦂꦱꦶꦠꦱ꧀ꦢꦶꦥꦤꦼꦒꦫ; Indonesian: Universitas Diponegoro, abbreviated as Undip) is a public university in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Founded in 1957 as a private university by the Semarang University Foundation, which later in 1960 became public university, and named after Javanese Prince Diponegoro. It is a pioneer of higher learning institutions in Indonesia and the first and oldest education corporation in Central Java. Nationally, Undip is in sixth position in Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education's 2017 ranking and is one of the top 1,000 universities in the world by the 2019 QS World University Rankings.

Faculty of Medicine, Diponegoro University (Indonesian: Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Diponegoro) is one of the leading medical schools in Indonesia. Established on October 1, 1961, the medical school is officially affiliated to Dr. Kariadi Hospital the General Center Hospital in Central Java. In 2011, the medical school celebrated its 50 years of anniversary in giving contribution to the three basic goals of higher education which are medical education, research, and community services. Refer to the THES-QS Top World University Rankings in 2007, for the category of Life Science and Biomedicine, the medical school is ranked on 410th.

Giri Tunggal Heroes' Cemetery (also spelled Giritunggal Heroes' Cemetery; Indonesian: Taman Makam Pahlawan Giri Tunggal) is a cemetery in Semarang, Central Java. It contains the graves of military personnel and other persons deemed heroes by the Indonesian government, including the National Hero Albertus Soegijapranata. As of 2011 it has 1,843 interments.

Sam Poo Kong (Chinese: 三保洞; pinyin: Sānbǎo Dòng), also known as Gedung Batu Temple, is the oldest Chinese temple in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Originally established by the Chinese Muslim explorer Zheng He (also known as Sanbao), it is now shared by Indonesians of multiple religious denominations, including Muslims and Buddhists, and ethnicities, including Chinese and Javanese.

The Universitas Negeri Semarang (abbreviated UNNES Javanese: ꦈꦤꦶꦮ꦳ꦼꦂꦱꦶꦠꦱ꧀​ꦤꦒꦫꦶ​ꦱꦼꦩꦫꦁ, romanized: Universitas Nagari Semarang) is a public university in the city of Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The university is located in Gunungpati, a highland area of Semarang City, Central Java. UNNES has eight faculties: Education, Language and Arts, Social Sciences, Mathematics and Science, Engineering, Sport Science, Economics, and Law.

GOR Sahabat is a multifunctional sports arena in Semarang, Indonesia. The arena is home to the Sahabat Semarang basketball team from WIBL. It can also accommodate basketball, karate, taekwondo and other events. GOR Sahabat usually becomes one of the match venues for IBL and WIBL.

The Cathedral of the Virgin Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary (Indonesian: Gereja Katedral Perawan Maria Ratu Rosario Suci), also known as the Holy Rosary Cathedral or Randusari Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archdiocese of Semarang. Finished in 1927 at Randusari, Semarang, Indonesia, it became a parish church in 1930 and a cathedral in 1940, when Albertus Soegijapranata was made the first archbishop of Semarang.

The Colonial Exhibition, Dutch: Koloniale Tentoonstelling, took place in Semarang, Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) in from 20 August through 22 November 1914.: cover  Colonial exhibitions were trade expositions. It was designed to "give a comprehensive picture of the Dutch Indies in their present prosperous condition." It was the first large scale exposition in the Dutch East Indies,: 2  and financed by the participating corporations with a subsidy from the Dutch East Indies government.: 6–7 The architect was Maclaine Pont.: 22 

Lawang Sewu (Dutch: Het administratiegebouw van de Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg-Maatschappij, N.V. te Samarang, lit. 'The headquarters of the Dutch East Indies Railway Company in Semarang') is a former office building in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It was a head office of the Dutch East Indies Railway Co. (Nederlandsch-Indische Spoorweg Maatschappij/NIS) and is owned by the national railway company Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI). Its predecessor, Djawatan Kereta Api, was seized every rail transport infrastructures and offices from Dutch occupation. Today the building is used as a museum and heritage railway gallery, currently operated by Heritage Unit of KAI and its subsidiary KAI Wisata.
