Lawang Sewu

Tugu Muda (Indonesian "Youth Monument") is a stone monument in Semarang, Central Java commemorating the struggle for independence by Indonesian youth. It was dedicated by President Sukarno on 20 May 1953 to commemorate the continuous five-day battle between the youth of Semarang and a Japanese battalion led by Major Kido from 14 to 19 October 1945. Japanese forces drove the Dutch from Indonesia as the "elder brother of Asia"; however, the Japanese were crueler to dissidents than their Dutch counterparts.The stone monument consists of a foundation, body and head. One side of the monument is done in relief, with ornamental ponds and gardens surrounding it.

The Cathedral of the Virgin Mary, Queen of the Holy Rosary (Indonesian: Gereja Katedral Perawan Maria Ratu Rosario Suci), also known as the Holy Rosary Cathedral or Randusari Cathedral is a Roman Catholic cathedral and the seat of the Archdiocese of Semarang. Finished in 1927 at Randusari, Semarang, Indonesia, it became a parish church in 1930 and a cathedral in 1940, when Albertus Soegijapranata was made the first archbishop of Semarang.

The Semarang City Regional House of Representatives is the unicameral municipal legislature of the city of Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. It has 50 members, who are elected every five years, simultaneously with the national legislative election.

SMA Negeri 3 Semarang, also SMAN 3 Semarang or SMA 3 Semarang, is a public high-school in Indonesia. The school campus is located at 149 Pemuda Road, Semarang, Central Java. Also known as Bodjong HS was established on 1 November 1877 or 1878 under Dutch colonial rule, as the Hogere Burgerschool for Semarang.

The Colonial Exhibition, Dutch: Koloniale Tentoonstelling, took place in Semarang, Dutch East Indies (now Indonesia) in from 20 August through 22 November 1914.: cover  Colonial exhibitions were trade expositions. It was designed to "give a comprehensive picture of the Dutch Indies in their present prosperous condition." It was the first large scale exposition in the Dutch East Indies,: 2  and financed by the participating corporations with a subsidy from the Dutch East Indies government.: 6–7 The architect was Maclaine Pont.: 22 

Semarang Poncol Station is a historic railway station in Purwosari, North Semarang, Semarang, Indonesia. It was built in 1914 and is considered an early example of Art Deco architecture.

PIKA Industrial Woodworking School (Indonesian: Pendidikan Industri Kayu) is a private Catholic vocational secondary school, located in Semarang, Indonesia. The school was founded in 1953 by the Indonesian Province of the Society of Jesus. Students at PIKA defray their tuition expenses by a program which integrates education with production of industrial, household, and office furniture. About 75 apprentices graduate each year with a diploma as carpenters, furniture draughtsmen, and furniture designers.

Kolese Loyola, also referred by its acronym LC or Loyola College is a private Catholic secondary school located in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. The school was established by the Indonesian Province of the Society of Jesus in 1949. The school's name is derived from its patron saint, St. Ignatius of Loyola.

Giri Tunggal Heroes' Cemetery (also spelled Giritunggal Heroes' Cemetery; Indonesian: Taman Makam Pahlawan Giri Tunggal) is a cemetery in Semarang, Central Java. It contains the graves of military personnel and other persons deemed heroes by the Indonesian government, including the National Hero Albertus Soegijapranata. As of 2011 it has 1,843 interments.

Sam Poo Kong (Chinese: 三保洞; pinyin: Sānbǎo Dòng), also known as Gedung Batu Temple, is the oldest Chinese temple in Semarang, Central Java, Indonesia. Originally established by the Chinese Muslim explorer Zheng He (also known as Sanbao), it is now shared by Indonesians of multiple religious denominations, including Muslims and Buddhists, and ethnicities, including Chinese and Javanese.

Semarang (Javanese: ꦏꦸꦛꦯꦼꦩꦫꦁ, Pegon: سماراڠ) is the capital and largest city of Central Java province in Indonesia. It was a major port during the Dutch colonial era, and is still an important regional center and port today. The city has been named as the cleanest tourist destination in Southeast Asia by the ASEAN Clean Tourist City Standard (ACTCS) for 2020–2022.It has an area of 373.78 km2 (144.32 sq mi) and is located at 6°58′S 110°25′E. The population of the city was 1,555,984 at the 2010 census and 1,653,524 at the 2020 census, making it Indonesia's ninth most populous city after Jakarta, Surabaya, Bekasi, Bandung, Medan, Depok, Tangerang and Palembang. The built-up urban area had 3,183,516 inhabitants at the 2010 census spread over two cities and 26 districts. The Semarang metropolitan area (a.k.a. Kedungsepur) has a population of over 6 million in 2020 (see Greater Semarang section). The population of the city is predominantly Javanese with significant Chinese presence.

The Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Semarang (Latin: Semarangen(sis)) is a Metropolitan Latin archdiocese on Java in Indonesia, yet it depends on the missionary Roman Congregation for the Evangelization of Peoples. Its cathedral archiepiscopal see is Katedral Santa Perawan Maria Ratu Rosario Suci, dedicated to Our Lady of the Rosary, in the city of Semarang, Jawa Tengah.
