Sculcoates power station

Beverley Road railway station was a station on the Hull and Barnsley Railway, and served the Beverley Road area of Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It opened on 27 July 1885 and closed to passengers on 14 July 1924 after the London and North Eastern Railway had built the Spring Bank chord to Hull Paragon.

Stepney is an area of Kingston upon Hull within the larger area of Sculcoates, north of the city centre on the (A1079) Beverley-Hull main road. Before the mid-19th century the place was a small hamlet outside the urban area of Kingston upon Hull.

Stepney railway station is a disused railway station on the York and North Midland Railway's Victoria Dock Branch Line in Stepney, Kingston upon Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was first opened on 8 May 1848 and closed in November 1854. It was reopened on 1 June 1864, before closing permanently on 19 October 1964. Located on the Victoria Dock Branch Line which looped around the old part of the city, people could catch trains to stations on the lines serving the seaside resorts of Hornsea or Withernsea. Tickets were purchased in the small wooden building opposite the station building. Diesels took over from steam in January 1957. After the station closed, the lines through it were still used for goods trains until 1968. The few trains still travelling across Hull were diverted to the high level ex Hull and Barnsley Line which looped the city further north. The station house is now a grade II listed building. An old map of the area shows coal and timber sidings to the south of the station building. The main station building is now used as a community and education centre.

St John's Church, Newland, also known simply as St John Newland, is an Anglican evangelical church located in the parish of Newland in the city of Kingston upon Hull, England.

Pearson Park, originally known as the People's Park is a park in the west of Kingston upon Hull, England. It is situated about 1 mile (1.5 km) north-west of the city centre of Hull with its main entrance on Beverley Road and its western boundary adjoining Princes Avenue.The park was established in 1862 through the gift of land by Zachariah Pearson, and was the first public park in the city.

The National Picture Theatre on Beverley Road in Kingston upon Hull, England, was a cinema which was built in 1914. During the Second World War, the cinema was bombed and mostly destroyed when an air raid took place on the night of 18 March 1941. A film had been showing at the time of the bombing, which was Charlie Chaplin's The Great Dictator. All 150 people in the cinema at the time escaped and there were no casualties. The interior of the building was completely destroyed but the facade somehow escaped the blast. It still remains to this day alongside fragments of the foyer and vestibule behind it. The cinema is the last remaining civilian bomb ruin still in existence and was Grade II listed in January 2007.

Sculcoates railway station was a railway station on the North Eastern Railway's Victoria Dock Branch Line in Hull, East Riding of Yorkshire, England. It was first opened by the York and North Midland Railway on 1 June 1853 and closed in November 1854. It was reopened in August 1865, before closing permanently on 9 June 1912.The station has been demolished but an associated railway goods shed remains in use by a road haulage firm.
