KTXX-FM (104.9 MHz, "The Horn") is a commercial FM radio station licensed to Bee Cave, Texas, and serving the Greater Austin radio market. The station broadcasts a sports radio format and is owned by Genuine Austin Radio. KTXX-FM's transmitter is located on State Highway 71 on the west side of Austin. The station has studios and offices along Loop 360 in Southwest Austin. KTXX-FM broadcasts in the HD Radio format. Its HD3 digital subchannel simulcasts the progressive country format heard on co-owned 99.3 KOKE-FM. The HD4 subchannel airs a classic hits sound, known as "The Bat," which feeds FM translator 105.3 K287FG. In addition, most of KTXX-FM's sports programming is heard on sister station AM 1260 KTAE in Taylor and its translator, 101.9 K270CO Round Rock.

The zoo is accreddited by the Zoological Association of America.The mission of Austin Zoo is to assist animals in need through rescue, conservation, and education. St. Michael's Catholic Academy is a private college preparatory high school in Barton Creek, a community in unincorporated Travis County, Texas (Greater Austin), with an enrollment of approximately 360 students in grades 9-12. It is within the Roman Catholic Diocese of Austin and has an "Austin, Texas" postal address. St. Michael's requires the student to have at least 26 hours before graduating, including one year of a fine arts and one year of athletic credits. St. Michael's students gain admission to colleges such as the United States Military Academy, Princeton University, Stanford University, Vanderbilt University, Texas A&M University, University of Texas, Southern Methodist University, Reed College, University of Notre Dame, Emory University, Washington University in St. Louis, and Rice University, and is considered one of the most reputable academic institutions in the Austin area. Circle C Ranch (also known as Circle C) is a large master-planned community in southwest Austin, Texas, USA. Development of Circle C Ranch began in 1982, with the first homes in the community in built in 1986. During development, the subdivision was featured prominently in a long and contentious environmental legal battle regarding urban development in the vicinity of Barton Springs and over Edwards Aquifer. The controversy surrounding its development and later annexation by the city of Austin was a landmark in municipal annexation rights in Texas. Today, Circle C Ranch includes more than 5,614 homes. Amenities include an 18-hole golf course called the Grey Rock Golf Club, tennis club, four swim centers, a fire station, and more than 500 acres (2.0 km2) of dedicated parkland. The Circle C Swim Center has a year-round, outdoor, Olympic-size heated pool. A second, family-oriented swimming pool complex, with adjacent office space and meeting rooms, was finished at the end of January 2012. The third pool, found in the Avaña section of Circle C, was built in 2014 and opened in 2015. The fourth pool, located in the GreyRock section of Circle C, opened in 2017.

Cedar Valley is an unincorporated community in Travis County, in the U.S. state of Texas. According to the Handbook of Texas, the community had a population of 70 in 2000. It is located within the Greater Austin metropolitan area.

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center at The University of Texas at Austin is the state botanical garden and arboretum of Texas. The center features more than 900 species of native Texas plants in both garden and natural settings and is home to a breadth of educational programs and events. The center is 284 acres and located 10 miles southwest of downtown Austin, Texas just inside the edge of the distinctive Texas hill country. It straddles both Edwards Plateau and Texas Blackland Prairies ecosystems. The center is dedicated to "inspiring the conservation of native plants" and promoting the environmental benefits of native plant landscapes. It is home to the most comprehensive native plant database in the U.S., which features profiles of more than 9,000 North American native plants along with a number of other resources (see Native Plants of North America). The Wildflower Center has 9 acres of cultivated gardens, including the Luci and Ian Family Garden and the Ann and O.J. Weber Pollinator Habitat Garden. Its 16-acre Mollie Steves Zachry Texas Arboretum features collections of tree and shrub species from across the state of Texas. Miles of walking trails, educational exhibits, a gift store, cafe and biannual sales of native plants round out the offerings. In 2013, the syndicated television series, Texas Country Reporter, hosted by Bob Phillips, declared the center the No. 1 site from which to view wildflowers within Texas.

Lost Creek is an affluent upper-middle-class neighborhood and census-designated place (CDP) of approximately 4,500 people in Travis County, Texas, United States. The census tract is bordered by Capital of Texas Highway to the east, Barton Creek to the south, Barton Creek Boulevard to the west, and Bee Caves Road to the north. The Lost Creek CDP encompasses several small neighborhoods—Parkstone, Woods of Westlake, Camelot, and Knollwood—as well as the largest and most populous Lost Creek neighborhood. The neighborhood is named after a secluded section of Barton Creek away from more popular portions downstream that include Barton Springs and Zilker Park. Suburban residential development began in the late 1970s and continued for over three decades. Lost Creek is almost completely built-out. Lost Creek also encompasses a commercial area bordering Bee Caves Road and Capital of Texas Highway. Businesses occupying these buildings include Capital One Bank, Wells Fargo Bank, and Apple Inc. Lost Creek was annexed by the City of Austin in December 2015.
