The Memorial to Victims of Violence in Mexico (Spanish: Memorial a las víctimas de violencia en México) is a memorial in Chapultepec, Mexico City. Its construction started in 2012 during the presidency of Felipe Calderón and it was opened on 5 April 2013, during the presidency of his successor, Enrique Peña Nieto. As its name indicates, it was dedicated to honoring those who have suffered violence in the country. The memorial is composed of 70 steel walls that have different textures and various reflectors project light from different angles, including some underwater. The architects were Julio Gaeta and Luby Springall (through their company Gaeta Springall Arquitectos) and Lighteam was responsible for the illumination. It is described by their designers as an incomplete and living project, where citizens can write the names of the victims. Additionally, around 40 quotations related to violence and memory, by historical figures, are engraved in the walls. The project was well-received by architecture and art publications. In 2014 the memorial won the Best Use of Color Award at the AL Light & Architecture Design Awards. However, it received polarized comments from human rights groups and society due to two factors. The first was its location at Campo Marte, operated by the Secretariat of National Defense, and the second was participation in the project by Calderón who started the Mexican drug war in 2006.

Campo Marte is a venue under the administration of the Secretariat of National Defense (SEDENA). Named after the Campus Martius (Field of Mars), it is used for military and government events, as well as equestrian events. Campo Marte is located next to the National Auditorium in Chapultepec Park, Mexico City.

La Feria de Chapultepec (transl. Chapultepec Fair), simply branded as La Feria, was an amusement park in Mexico City, Mexico. Located in the middle of Chapultepec Park near the Constituyentes Metro station, it opened in 1964 as Juegos Mecánicos de Chapultepec (transl. Chapultepec Mechanical Games) and was originally operated by the Mexican government. In 1992 Grupo CIE bought it and changed the name to La Feria Chapultepec Mágico (transl. Magic Chapultepec Fair). In 2015, it was bought by Ventura Entertainment and renamed to its last name.On 28 September 2019 an accident on the Quimera roller coaster killed two people and injured two others. An investigation determined that design flaws by its designer along with a lack of maintenance by the personnel were likely to blame for the accident. On 13 October 2019, the amusement park authorities announced on their official website the definitive closure of the park after the Mexico City Government revoked their license. After Ventura Entertainment lost the license, the government sent a message to other park companies such as Six Flags, Cedar Fair, and Seaworld to take over the license of the property. After Bosque de Chapultepec reopened, most of La Feria's furniture and fences that separate the attractions are being dismantled and the property is being cleaned, and the new owner is yet to be announced, since the six companies that were interested asked for the period of selection, which was meant to be until 20 April of this year, to be extended because of the COVID-19 pandemic, so the government is yet to announce the new date.

Montaña Rusa was a wooden roller coaster at La Feria Chapultepec Mágico in Mexico City, Mexico. In 1993, it was renamed Serpiente de Fuego (Serpent of Fire) but later it was changed back to Montaña Rusa. For several years, Montaña Rusa held the record of world's tallest roller coaster. With the conversion of Medusa at Six Flags México into a hybrid roller coaster in 2014, Montaña Rusa was the last wooden roller coaster in Mexico. In 2020, it was announced that Montaña Rusa would be removed from the park. As of 2022, the coaster remains standing but not operating.

On 4 November 2008 an official Mexican Secretariat of the Interior aircraft crashed in central Mexico City at around 18:45 local time. There were sixteen fatalities—all nine people on board and seven people on the ground. The plane, a Learjet 45, was carrying Mexican Secretary of the Interior Juan Camilo Mouriño.The plane crashed in rush-hour traffic close to the intersection of Paseo de la Reforma and the Anillo Periférico, in the Las Lomas business district. During its approach to Mexico City International Airport, the plane followed a Boeing 767 too closely and encountered wake turbulence which caused it to invert into a nose-down position. The pilots were able to reduce the angle of descent but due to excessive speed and insufficient altitude were unable to regain control of the aircraft. The plane crashed into a building, exploding on impact and killing 16 people.

Aztlán Parque Urbano is an amusement park in Chapultepec, Mexico City, Mexico. The park first opened on March 20, 2024, and replaced the amusement park La Feria de Chapultepec that closed in 2019.

Chapultepec, more commonly called the "Bosque de Chapultepec" (Chapultepec Forest) in Mexico City, is one of the largest city parks in the Western Hemisphere, measuring in total just over 686 hectares (1,695 acres). Centered on a rock formation called Chapultepec Hill, one of the park's main functions is as an ecological space in Greater Mexico City. It is considered the first and most important of Mexico City's "lungs". The area encompassing modern-day Chapultepec has been inhabited and considered a landmark since the pre-Columbian era, when it became a retreat for Aztec rulers. In the colonial period, Chapultepec Castle was built here, eventually becoming the official residence of Mexican heads of state. It would remain so until 1940, when it was moved to another part of the park called Los Pinos. Bosque de Chapultepec is divided into four sections, with the first section being the oldest and most visited. This section contains most of the park's attractions, including the castle, the Chapultepec Zoo, the Museum of Anthropology, and the Rufino Tamayo Museum, among others. It receives an estimated 15 million visitors per year. This prompted the need for major rehabilitation efforts that began in 2005 and ended in 2010. The government has authorized the construction of business, offices, and big parking lots for cars.

The Cárcamo de Dolores (Sump of Dolores) is a hydraulic structure located on the Second Section of Chapultepec Park, in Mexico City, comprising the building designed by architect Ricardo Rivas, inside the originally underwater mural Agua, el origen de la vida ("Water, source of life") of Mexican muralist Diego Rivera, the art installation Cámara Lambdoma by Ariel Guzik, and in outside, the Tlaloc Fountain, also of Rivera.The building was constructed in 1951 to commemorate the end of the works in 1943 of the Lerma System, which still supply water to Mexico City and still flows in the place, but diverted from own building. It is part of the Museo de Historia Natural y Cultura Ambiental (Museum of Natural History and Environmental Culture).

National Auditorium (Spanish: Auditorio Nacional) is an entertainment center at Paseo de la Reforma #50, Chapultepec in Mexico City. The National Auditorium is considered among the world's best venues by specialized media. It was designed by Mexican architects Pedro Ramírez Vázquez and Gonzalo Ramírez del Sordo, and remodeled by Abraham Zabludovsky and Teodoro González de León. Concerts, art, theatre, dance, and more are hosted at the venue. It also has a small venue available for smaller events, called Auditorio Lunario. The total seating capacity of 10,000.

Parque Lincoln, or Lincoln Park, is a city park in Mexico City, Mexico. The park is located in the Polanco neighborhood of Mexico City (México, D. F.). There is a statue of Martin Luther King Jr. installed in the park, as well as a copy of Abraham Lincoln: The Man (also known as Standing Lincoln). The clock tower was built in 1937 and since 1992 it operates as an art gallery.

The Battle of Molino del Rey (8 September 1847) was one of the bloodiest engagements of the Mexican–American War as part of the Battle for Mexico City. It was fought in September 1847 between Mexican forces under General Antonio León against an American force under Major General Winfield Scott at El Molino del Rey on the fringes of Mexico City. The Americans made little progress in this battle, but the Mexican forces were unable to hold them back long enough to prevent the capture of Mexico City one week later.

The museum Papalote Museo del Niño is located in Mexico City Bosques de Chapultepec. The museum is focused in learning, communication and working together through interactive expositions of science, technology and art for children.
