The Wyrrabalong National Park is a coastal national park that is located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, in eastern Australia. The 620-hectare (1,500-acre) national park consists of two sections; the northern section consists of approximately 480 hectares (1,200 acres) and covers a substantial area of the peninsula between The Entrance and Norah Head as well as Terilbah and Pelican Islands within Tuggerah Lake. The southern section consists of about 120 hectares (300 acres) of the coast, from Shelly Beach south to Forresters Beach. The park is also noted for containing the last significant coastal (littoral) rainforest on the Central Coast.Most of the park lies in the Tuggerah Important Bird Area, identified as such by BirdLife International because of its importance for a variety of water and woodland birds.The average elevation of the terrain is 8 meters.

Canton Beach is a suburb located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia, as part of the Central Coast Council local government area. It is next to Toukley which is a large residential and holiday town.

Toukley ( TOO-klee) is a town in the Central Coast region of the Australian state of New South Wales and is located within Central Coast Council. It lies approximately 109 km north of Sydney and 54 km south of Newcastle via the M1. It is located between Tuggerah Lake, Budgewoi Lake, and the Pacific Ocean. At the channel connecting Tuggerah Lake and Budgewoi Lake the new Toukley bridge was constructed between 1983 and 1985 linking Toukley on the eastern side of the Lakes system with Gorokan on the west, replacing the old two lane wooden bridge. Toukley also provides various forms of accommodation to tourists including motels, caravan parks, holiday houses and lake cabins.

Norah Head, originally known as Bungaree Noragh Point, is a headland and a coastal village in Central Coast Council on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Norah Head is known for its great surfing and clear beaches like Soldiers Beach near Wyrrabalong National Park and Pebbly Beach with Norah Head Rock Pool. The town is home to Norah Head Lighthouse with scenic views along the coast.

Norah Head Lightstation Precinct is a heritage-listed former lighthouse precinct located at Bush Street, Norah Head in the Central Coast local government area of New South Wales, Australia. The Norah Head lighthouse and associated buildings were designed by Cecil W. Darley and built in 1903. The precinct was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 13 April 2007.

HMAS Paterson (FY. 109) was a wooden auxiliary minesweeper operated by the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) during World War II. She was built in 1919-20 by T.F. Morrison, Sinclair & Company at Balmain. The ship operated as a coastal steamer and was requisitioned by the RAN in 1941. She was returned to her owners on 26 November 1945 before sinking near The Entrance, New South Wales on 11 June 1951.

Hargraves House, Noraville is a heritage-listed house at 3 Elizabeth Drive, Noraville in the Central Coast local government area of New South Wales, Australia. It was designed by Edward Hammond Hargraves and built from 1856 to 1859 by Mr Fletcher. It is also known as Hargraves House and Norahville. It was added to the New South Wales State Heritage Register on 2 April 1999.

Noraville is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. It is the site of Edward Hargraves' property that he purchased after his discovery of payable gold. As part of the Toukley district, Noraville has a similar elderly demographic. to that of Toukley.

Gorokan is a suburb of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area. The word "Gorokan" means "The Morning Dawn" from the language of the Awabakal (an Aboriginal tribe). There are two schools in the area, Gorokan Public School and Gorokan High School. Electricity was first brought to the area as a part of a £42,000 programme for electricity reticulation under the Brisbane Water County Council. Located on the shores of Lake Tuggerah, Gorokan has long been a holiday destination with the Quoy family first buying land in the area in 1923 where they built and rented a series of holiday homes. Other families such as the Gedlings (by way of Gordon and Margaret Gedling) built a holiday house on the Gorokan waterfront in 1956.

The Budgewoi Lake, a lagoon that is part of the Tuggerah Lakes, is located within the Central Coast Council local government area in the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. The lake is located near the settlement of Budgewoi and is situated about 100 kilometres (62 mi) north of Sydney.

The Entrance North (colloquially "North Entrance") is a coastal village in The Entrance District of the Central Coast region of New South Wales, Australia. It is at the end of a peninsula with Tuggerah Lake to the west and the Tasman Sea to the east. To the south is The Entrance Channel in which flows Tuggerah Lake and on the southern shore is The Entrance. Crossing the channel by foot or road is via The Entrance Bridge. It is part of the Central Coast Council local government area.

The Entrance Bridge is a road bridge that carries the Central Coast Highway (A49) across the Tuggerah Lakes Entrance Channel and joins the towns of The Entrance and The Entrance North, located on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. The 18-span, 467-metre long (1,532 ft) concrete girder bridge carries road traffic, as well as a grade-separated pedestrian footpath and cycleway, across Wilfred Barrett Drive as part of the Central Coast Highway. The bridge is maintained by Transport for NSW, an agency of the Government of New South Wales.
