Pitt Meadows Regional Airport (ICAO: CYPK) is a Canadian general aviation airport located in the southwest of corner of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia. In 2021, the airport had 112,872 aircraft movements making it the 4th busiest airport in the Lower Mainland.The first airport manager was Gordon McNeill 1966-1972. By 1972-1973, Pitt Meadows was the busiest airport in Canada with over 250,000 aircraft movements annually, but with the opening of Boundary Bay Airport in Delta, British Columbia in 1983, air traffic at Pitt Meadows Airport declined steadily. In January 1998, the districts of Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows jointly took custody from the federal government under the auspices of the Pitt Meadows Airport Society.Nine flight training schools are located at the airport. The airport features three asphalt runways, three helipads, IFR approaches, and a separate float plane dock along the Fraser River. The Nav Canada air traffic control tower operates from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. 365 days per year. In 2019, the airport terminal was moved to make room for a new 40,000 sq ft (3,700 m2) two-level terminal building. The new terminal opened in January 2022.

The Pitt River Bridge is a cable-stayed bridge that spans the Pitt River between Port Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows in British Columbia, Canada. The bridge is part of Highway 7, carrying Lougheed Highway across the river. The current bridge opened on October 4, 2009. The bridge includes a 380 m cable stay bridge structure, 126 m of multi-span approaches, a 50 m interchange structure and approximately 2 km of grade construction. Total project cost for the bridge was $200 million

Pitt Meadows Water Aerodrome (TC LID: CAJ8) is located 1 nautical mile (1.9 km; 1.2 mi) southwest of Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, Canada. It is situated on the banks of the Fraser River, at the southern edge of Pitt Meadows Airport.

Pitt Meadows station is a stop on the West Coast Express commuter rail line connecting Vancouver to Mission, British Columbia, Canada. The station is located on the south side of the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) tracks in Pitt Meadows, just off Harris Road. The station opened in 1995, when the West Coast Express began operating. 140 park-and-ride spots are available. All services are operated by TransLink.

Pitt Meadows is a municipality of Metro Vancouver in southwestern British Columbia, Canada. Incorporated in 1914, it has a land area of 86.34 square kilometres (33.34 sq mi) and a population of 19,146 as of 2021. The municipality received its name from the Pitt River and Pitt Lake. Pitt Meadows is one of 21 municipalities plus Electoral Area A that comprises the Metro Vancouver Regional District.Indigenous Peoples have resided in Pitt Meadows for approximately 1000 years. James McMillan explored the area in 1874. The Municipality of Maple Ridge, which included the Pitt Meadows area, was incorporated in 1874. In 1892, residents of the Pitt Meadows area petitioned for their removal from the District of Maple Ridge. In 1893, the first dyking district was organized; however, the Fraser River Flood of 1894 flooded many acres of land in Pitt Meadows. In 1914, Pitt Meadows was a small, agricultural community of less than 250 individuals which supplied Vancouver and New Westminster with produce and dairy products. In 1995, Pitt Meadows became a member municipality of Metro Vancouver. In 2007, the District of Pitt Meadows was incorporated as the City of Pitt Meadows. In 2014, Pitt Meadows' centennial occurred.

The Alouette River is a tributary of the Pitt River in the Canadian province of British Columbia. The Alouette River was known as the Lillooet River until 1914, at which time its name was changed to avoid confusion with the much larger Lillooet River. The name Alouette, French for "lark", was ostensibly chosen because it sounds similar to Lillooet.

Pitt Meadows Secondary School (PMSS) is a public high school in Pitt Meadows, British Columbia, part of School District 42 Maple Ridge-Pitt Meadows. The school was founded in 1961 and celebrated its 50th anniversary with an open house on September 30, 2011. It is one of two high schools a part of SD42 that has a French Immersion program from grades 8-12.

Barnston Island is an unincorporated island located in the Greater Vancouver metropolitan area of British Columbia, Canada. Most of the island is part of Metro Vancouver Electoral Area A; the remainder is Barnston Island Indian Reserve No. 3, which is outside Electoral Area A limits and is under the governance of the Katzie First Nation, headquartered across the river at their main reserve in Pitt Meadows. Although the island is unincorporated and not officially part of any municipality, mailing addresses on the island use Surrey as the city name. Located in the Fraser River between Surrey and Pitt Meadows, Barnston Island was named in 1827 for Hudson's Bay Company Clerk George Barnston. The island has no direct road access to the rest of the area. It is accessed through the Barnston Island Ferry, a short 5-minute ferry route from Surrey on 104 Avenue across Parson's Channel; the ferry ride is free. Barnston Island's main road travels along the perimeter of the island. Barnston Island contains mostly farmland and is home to a total population of 155 people (2001 census), 46 of whom live on the Barnston Island 3 Indian Reserve, located near the southeast part of the island. Statistics Canada defines the island as Vancouver CMA Census Tract 0251.00 of British Columbia.

Surrey Bend Regional Park is an 860-acre park in Surrey, British Columbia. It's located along the Fraser River and Parsons Channel, and most of its area is a floodplain. The wetlands are home to many different species of wildlife, including birds and fish. There are 4 kilometres of multi use trails, picnic areas, and interpretive exhibits.

The Barnston Island Ferry is a ferry that runs across Parson's Channel (on the south side of the Fraser River) between Barnston Island and Port Kells, Surrey, in Metro Vancouver.

Archbishop Carney Secondary School (ACRSS, commonly referred to as Carney) is a private Roman Catholic independent secondary school in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia. It is under charge of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Vancouver and is the newest Roman Catholic high school in the Lower Mainland with just under 600 registered students for the fall semester of September 2013.

Terry Fox Secondary School is a school with approximately 1550 students in Port Coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada. The original building was built in the 1950s under the name "Port Coquitlam Senior Secondary" for grades 11 and 12. In 1986, it was renamed Terry Fox Senior Secondary School after 1976 graduate Terry Fox. The "Senior" was dropped from the name after a restructuring by Coquitlam School District 43, when junior high schools were replaced by middle schools. Terry Fox Secondary's Code of Conduct is compatible with the District Code of Conduct, The BC Human Rights Code, and they also acknowledge their own four pillars of Leadership, Integrity, Kindness, and Perseverance. In 1999, to help deal with the growing population, the school was relocated to a new, larger building, several kilometres away on Riverwood Gate. However, the new building quickly became overpopulated as well, and is now home to 17 portables. Fox offers a wide variety of academic courses and programs at all levels. Creating community is always a focus with dynamic leadership courses and initiatives to build connections in and out of our building. The school offers many honors classes as well as Advanced Placement and Co-op programs and Ace It programs. The School has respected athletic programs, namely in basketball and football, and is usually ranked in both sports.The Terry Fox football team has also taken part in an exchange with the football team from St. Mark Catholic High School (Ottawa) from Manotick, Ontario since 2009. The Terry Fox Theatre, a privately run operation, formerly run by the school itself, adjoins the north side of the school. The school is noted for its many musicals and plays including You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, Footloose, Hair, The Wedding Singer and Jesus Christ Superstar, Tough, Daddy's Home, The Effect of Gamma Rays on Man-in-the-Moon Marigolds, Of Mice and Men and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. In 2010, Terry Fox Secondary became District Champions of "MetFest" with the musical comedy The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, going on to represent Terry Fox Secondary at the Sears British Columbia Drama Festival] where they were awarded 'Best Actor in a Leading Role - Female', 'Special Merit Award for Musical Virtuosity', and 'Best Ensemble/ Choreography'. In 2011, Terry Fox's show "Am I Blue" became District Champions at "MetFest".
