The Bucharest University of Economic Studies (Romanian: Academia de Studii Economice din București, abbreviated ASE) is a public university in Bucharest, Romania. Founded in 1913 as the Academy of Higher-level Commercial and Industrial Studies (Academia de Înalte Studii Comerciale și Industriale (AISCI)), it has become one of the largest economic higher education institutes in both Romania and South-Eastern Europe. The Bucharest Academy of Economic Studies is classified as an advanced research and education university by the Ministry of Education. It is one of the five members of the Universitaria Consortium (the group of elite Romanian universities).

Piața Romană (Romanian for "Roman Square") is a metro station in central Bucharest, located in the square with the same name, on the main north–south axis of the city centre. According to Sorin Călinescu, one the three planners of the station, when shown the plans for the Line M2 in 1985, First Lady Elena Ceaușescu reportedly demanded the station's removal. According to some of the people who worked on the station, Ceaușescu was supposedly concerned that workers and students were starting to gain weight and needed more exercise. The engineers realized the station would be necessary, and Sorin Călinescu claimed they have built it in secret. Because of this, the platforms are asymmetrical, very narrow (less than 1.5 m wide) and the waiting area is in a corridor separated by thick walls from the platforms in order to sustain the station's structure in the sandy soil, on which a number of 1920s high-rises are also situated.While subways ran past without stopping for about a year, thousands of residents reportedly wrote to petition for a station, which was opened on 28 November 1988. It was added to the previously opened extension from Piața Unirii to Pipera.

St. Bessarion Church (Romanian: Biserica Sfântul Visarion) is the name given to two Romanian Orthodox churches located at 14 Visarion Street in Bucharest, Romania, close to Piața Romană. They are dedicated to Saint Bessarion II of Larissa.

The Embassy of France in Bucharest is the diplomatic mission of the French Republic in Romania. Located at 13-15 Biserica Amzei Street, the building dates to 1889–1890. It is listed as a historic monument by Romania's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs.

The Yeshua Tova Synagogue (Romanian: Sinagoga Ieşua Tova or Sinagoga Podul Mogoşoaiei) in Bucharest, Romania, is the city's oldest synagogue, serving the local Chabad Jewish community. The synagogue is located on 9 Tache Ionescu Street, near Piaţa Amzei and Piața Romană metro station. It was built in 1827 and renovated in 2007. A Moorish architectural influence can be observed on the facade. Bas-reliefs decorate the tympanums above the frontal doors and the upper part of the facade.

Amzei Church (Romanian: Biserica Amzei) is a Romanian Orthodox church located at 12 Biserica Amzei Street in Bucharest, Romania. It is dedicated to the Feast of the Annunciation. The original church on the site, a small single-domed structure dedicated to Saint Nicholas, was built between 1807 and 1810. The chief ktetor was the deputy Vistier (treasurer) of Wallachia, Amza Năescu; following his death, the church was nicknamed after him. A list of people to be prayed for (pomelnic) survives, carved in elegant Romanian Cyrillic; it was originally in the altar table and is now in the yard. Prior to 1832, the church was surrounded by cells where a school with two grades for beginners functioned. An 1846 fire destroyed the church; an ample restoration followed. During repairs in 1875, two domes of wood and tin were added. Also that year, a neoclassical stone fountain, partly sculpted, was built on the grounds, near the parish house. The old church was entirely demolished in 1898, on the initiative of the priest. Construction of the present structure, designed by Alexandru Săvulescu, began in July 1898 and was completed in October 1901, as the pisanie records.The imposing cross-shaped church measures 28.7 meters long by 11 to 15.5 meters wide. It is eclectic in style, mainly Beaux-Arts. The exterior ornamentation, of stone and brick, features Romanian Revival touches: rows of brick alternating with masonry, niches beneath the cornice and richly carved string courses. The narthex is somewhat enlarged and there are three spires: a large one above the nave, ending in a spherical cupola and roof lantern; and two smaller ones above the sides of the narthex. The structure sits on a massive stone base some two meters high. There are three entry portals with doors of carved oak; the main one, on the west side, is beneath a trefoil arch. The north and south entrances have fairly deep porticoes with frontal arches. Each of the latter rests on columns with composite capitals, in academic style, and is topped by a sharp pediment. The interior is very high, with natural light entering through stained glass, in addition to three large bronze candelabra. The interior arches and columns are Renaissance Revival.The church is listed as a historic monument by Romania's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs.

The National School of Political Science and Public Administration (Romanian: Școala Națională de Studii Politice și Administrative din București, SNSPA) is a public university in Bucharest, Romania, founded in 1991. SNSPA is a public institution of higher education and research (University) which was established in 1991 as a postgraduate teaching institution, incorporating in its structure the former Faculty of High Political Studies of the University of Bucharest. In 1995, SNSPA obtained the right to organize undergraduate level training in political science and public administration and communication and public relations. SNSPA is currently a public institution of higher education subordinated to the Ministry of Education, Research and Innovation. It is organised into four faculties (Public Administration, Communication and Public Relations, Political Science, Management) and one department (International Relations and European Integration).In September 2012, the University of Sheffield and SNSPA launched a new master programme in Marketing, Advertising and PR, which offers its graduates a double diploma issued by both institutions.In December 2012, the rector of the School, Remus Pricopie, was appointed minister of education of Romania. SNSPA has finished in 2014 the construction of a new building started in February 2009 in the proximity of the Romexpo exhibition complex in Bucharest.

The Bucharest Observatory is an astronomical observatory located at 21 Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard, Bucharest, Romania. The observatory was built between 1908 and 1910, for Admiral Vasile Urseanu. It was equipped with a 150 mm diameter Zeiss telescope with a focal length of 2.7 meters; the telescope was the third largest in Romania at the time. Ion D. Berindey was the architect. It is Bucharest’s only observatory open to the public.The Urseanu House is listed as a historic monument by Romania's Ministry of Culture and Religious Affairs.

The Frederic and Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck Art Museum (Romanian: Muzeul de Artă Frederic Storck și Cecilia Cuțescu-Storck) is a modern art museum located in Bucharest, Romania, dedicated to the artists Frederic Storck and Cecilia Cuţescu-Storck. The museum is located in the house designed by the artists with the help of architect Alexandru Clavel and constructed in 1912–1913. The artists donated their collection to the government which opened the museum in 1951. Currently, the house belongs to the brothers Alvaro and Alexandru Botez, who have agreed to lend it to The Bucharest Municipality Museum in order for the art collection to be preserved.The museum presents works of artists of the Storck family: Karl Storck, Carol Storck, Frederic Storck, and Cecilia Cuţescu-Storck. It also includes medieval is faher objects of Medieval religious sculptures as well as watercolours, coins and medals by Carol Szathmari.

Bulevardul Magheru is a major street in central Bucharest. Built in the early 20th century, it is named after General Gheorghe Magheru. Together with Bulevardul Bălcescu, Magheru connects Piața Romană and Piața Universității squares and was in the 1930s and 1940s Bucharest's most modern part. This is one of Europe and world's most representative modernist boulevards, where the architecture in vogue in the 1930s is prevalent. Part of the major thoroughfare than runs through the middle of Bucharest, it is continued to the south of C. A. Rosetti Street by Nicolae Bălcescu Boulevard and then by Ion C. Brătianu Boulevard, and toward the north by Lascăr Catargiu Boulevard and Șoseaua Kiseleff. Bulevardul Magheru is one of the most expensive shopping streets in Europe.

The Dimitrie Sturdza House (Romanian: Casa Dimitrie Sturdza, Romanian pronunciation: [diˈmitri.e ˈsturza] (listen)) is a house with historical value, located in Bucharest, Romania, on Arthur Verona Street, no. 13-15. The house belonged to Dimitrie Sturdza (1833-1914), historian, economist, Romanian Academy member and the prime minister of Romania. Since 2003, it houses the bookshop Cărturești Verona, awarded as the Bookshop of the Year at London Book Fair International Excellence Awards 2021.

The Patria Cinema, located at 12-14 Bulevardul Magheru, was among the best-known movie theatres in Bucharest, Romania. It is housed in Horia Creangă's modernist 10-story ARO building (named after the insurance firm that had it built), designed in 1929 and completed in 1931. It was closed in November 2015, due to seismic risk.
