Archway Tavern

Archway is a London Underground station at the intersection of Holloway Road, Highgate Hill, Junction Road and Archway Road in Archway, north London, directly underneath the Vantage Point building. It is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line, between Highgate and Tufnell Park stations, in Zones 2 and 3.

Vantage Point (formerly Archway Tower) is a 195-foot (59m) 17-storey residential apartment building above Archway Underground station, designed by Grid Architects, and owned and operated by Essential Living.

Archway is an area of north London, England, in the London Borough of Islington 3.8 miles (6 km) north of Charing Cross. It straddles the A1 and is named after a local landmark, the high, single-arched Archway Bridge which crossed the road in a cutting to the north. It has a modern commercial hub around Vantage Point (formerly Archway Tower) and Archway tube station.

The Whittington Stone is an 1821 monumental stone and statue of a cat at the foot of Highgate Hill, a street, in Archway. It marks roughly where it is recounted that a forlorn Dick Whittington, returning to his home from the city of London after losing faith as a scullion in a scullery, heard Bow Bells ringing from 4+1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) away, prophesying his good fortune leading to the homage "Turn again Whittington, thrice Lord Mayor of London!" This quotation and a short history of the man cover two faces of the stone. The pub next to it is of the same name.

Located in Upper Holloway, it is managed by Whittington Health NHS Trust, operating as Whittington Health, an integrated care organisation providing hospital and community health services in the north London boroughs of Islington and Haringey. Its Jenner Building, a former smallpox hospital, is a Grade II listed building.

St Aloysius' College is a Roman Catholic, boys-only state school in the London Borough of Islington, England. Each year around 180 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (aged 11 or 12) on the basis of examination; the local education authority also assigns students without another school to this school. It is the oldest surviving foundation of its kind in the Archdiocese of Westminster.

Upper Holloway railway station is in Holloway, north London (N19). It is on the Gospel Oak to Barking Line, 3 miles 0 chains (4.8 km) from St Pancras (measured via Kentish Town and Mortimer Street Junction) and is situated between Gospel Oak and Crouch Hill. It is operated by London Overground, and the service is one train every 15 minutes in each direction except late evenings when it is half-hourly. The line is now electrified, and services are operated by 4 car Class 710 EMUs. The station is a short walk along Holloway Road from Archway on the Northern line. This is currently the most convenient interchange between the two lines, given as 490 yards (450 m) on the tube map and maps inside London Overground trains.

City of London Academy Highgate Hill is a coeducational secondary school and sixth form located in the Islington area of London, England.The site of the current school was previously known as Mount Carmel Catholic College for Girls. Mount Carmel was a Roman Catholic, girls-only school. It was originally located in Eden Grove, Holloway before moving to the present location. It school formally closed on 31 August 2017. The next day City of London Academy Highgate Hill opened on the same site. City of London Academy Highgate Hill is a free school sponsored by the City of London Academies Trust.
