Archway Hospital

The Whittington Stone is an 1821 monumental stone and statue of a cat at the foot of Highgate Hill, a street, in Archway. It marks roughly where it is recounted that a forlorn Dick Whittington, returning to his home from the city of London after losing faith as a scullion in a scullery, heard Bow Bells ringing from 4+1⁄2 miles (7.2 km) away, prophesying his good fortune leading to the homage "Turn again Whittington, thrice Lord Mayor of London!" This quotation and a short history of the man cover two faces of the stone. The pub next to it is of the same name.

The Archway Tavern in Archway, London, is on Highgate Hill near Archway tube station. The site has housed pubs since the 1700s, with the current building being built in 1888. At one point, a cable car service up Highgate Hill terminated outside the tavern.In 2014, the Archway Tavern was closed because of a licensing dispute. It was briefly re-opened as the Intrepid Fox, and at one point operated as a venue called Dusk till Dawn, but remained largely closed for several years. In 2020, plans were made to reopen it, following the resolution of licensing issues regarding the pub and its adjacent nightclub. As of 2021, the pub is back to being open full time. During the shutdown, the building was locally listed by Islington Council as "a historic feature and a focal point of the Town Centre" to resist any change of use of the building from being a public house. The building is now owned by the property company Searchgrade Limited, which bought it for £3.8m in 2019.The interior of the pub was used as the cover of The Kinks' studio album Muswell Hillbillies.

Archway is a London Underground station at the intersection of Holloway Road, Highgate Hill, Junction Road and Archway Road in Archway, north London, directly underneath the Vantage Point building. It is on the High Barnet branch of the Northern line, between Highgate and Tufnell Park stations, in Zones 2 and 3.

Its Jenner Building, a former smallpox hospital, is a Grade II listed building.

St Aloysius' College is a Roman Catholic, boys-only state school in the London Borough of Islington, England. Each year around 180 pupils are admitted to Year 7 (aged 11 or 12) on the basis of examination; the local education authority also assigns students without another school to this school. The Whittington Estate, also known as Highgate New Town, is a housing estate in the London Borough of Camden, North London, England. It was designed in a modernist style by Peter Tabori and Ken Adie for Camden Council's Architects Department. Construction work commenced in 1972 and was completed in 1979, five years later than planned. The estate was designed by Tabori initially as his final year project at the Regents Street Polytechnic under the name Highgate New Town; Sydney Cook, the head of Camden Architects Department went on to commission Tabori to make the estate a reality.

St Joseph's Church, Highgate is a parish of the Catholic Church on Highgate Hill, in the Diocese of Westminster, London. It was founded by the Passionist Congregation in 1858. It is a grade II listed building.
