The Building at 1101–1113 Maple Avenue is a historic rowhouse building in Evanston, Illinois. Built in 1892, the three-story building includes seven attached rowhouses. Late nineteenth century rowhouses such as this were precursors to Evanston's suburban apartment buildings of the early twentieth century, which also offered house-like living in a multi-family setting. Architect S.H. Warner designed the building in the Queen Anne style. The building's design includes gambrel porch roofs, projecting bays, patterned shingle siding, and a corner turret.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

The Buildings at 1104–1110 Seward are two identical apartment buildings in Evanston, Illinois. Both buildings are four-unit apartments built in 1927. Architects Van Gunten & Van Gunten designed the buildings in the Tudor Revival style. The buildings' designs are meant to resemble large homes, an unusual form not seen in any of Evanston's other residential apartments. Each design features a brick exterior, a Tudor arched stone entrance, a two-story bay window, and a gable roof.The buildings were added to the National Register of Historic Places on September 2, 1986.

Maple Court Apartments is a historic apartment building at 1115-1133 Maple Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brick building was built in 1915. Architect George S. Kingsley gave the building a geometrical design similar to those used in Prairie School buildings, though the building is not itself Prairie School. The building's design includes patterned brickwork, limestone arches and windowsills, and parapets with decorative sunbursts. The U-shaped building surrounds an open courtyard, a common feature of Evanston's apartment buildings.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

Reba Place Fellowship is a Christian intentional community in Evanston, Illinois, within the Chicago metro area. Founded in 1957, Reba Place Fellowship is the oldest urban Christian commune in the United States. Families and singles share life together in houses and apartments owned by Reba Place in two different Chicago neighborhoods, one in Evanston and the other in Rogers Park. The community shares a common purse, where paychecks are pooled, and members are given monthly allowances. After distributing personal and family living expenses, Reba uses the remainder "to further God's Kingdom," by meeting needs within the group, or furthering ministries outside of the community.

The building was one of several rowhouses built in Evanston in the late nineteenth century; the rowhouses were a precursor to the city's wave of suburban apartments, which also offered house-like living in a multi-unit building. Prominent Chicago architects Holabird & Roche designed the building in the Queen Anne style. The building features porches at each unit's entrance, projecting bays, and a gambrel gable and two triangular gables separated by dormers.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

Evanston Main Street is the southernmost of the three commuter railroad stations in Evanston, Illinois. It is served by Metra's Union Pacific North Line trains, which go south to Ogilvie Transportation Center in Chicago and as far north as Kenosha, Wisconsin. Travel time to Ogilvie is typically 23 minutes, but can be as high as 26 minutes during rush hour. In Metra's zone-based fare system, the station is in zone C. As of 2018, Evanston Main Street is the 41st busiest of Metra's 236 non-downtown stations, with an average of 1,130 weekday boardings. The station does not contain a ticket agent booth; passengers must purchase their tickets on board the train. As of April 25, 2022, Evanston Main Street is served by 30 inbound trains and 28 outbound trains on weekdays, by 12 trains in each direction on Saturdays, and by all nine trains in each direction on Sundays. During the summer concert season, the extra weekend train to Ravinia Park also stops here. The station is located on Main Street between Chicago Avenue and Custer Avenue, with CTA's Main station immediately to the east. It is one of two Metra stations in Evanston to provide direct transfers to the CTA rail system, the other being the Davis Street station. The neighboring area contains multi-story apartment buildings and the Main Street Station Shopping District. Main Street station also houses a cultural center known as Evanston Arts Depot, which houses the offices of the Custer's Last Stand festival and has performance space for Piccolo Theatre.

Main is an 'L' station on the CTA's Purple Line at 836 Chicago Avenue in Evanston, Illinois (directional coordinates 900 north, 732 west). It is near the Main Street station of Metra's Union Pacific / North Line. The current station has been in place since 1908, with only little renovation to the station since then, most notably a 90-foot extension of the platform in 1997 so that a motorman in the front car could see all doors stopped at the station (the platform had curved at one end previously). Main is one of the stations on the CTA's 2004-2008 Capital Improvement Plan.

Oakton Gables is a historic apartment building at the southeast corner of Oakton Street and Ridge Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brick building was built in 1927. Architect Godfrey E. Larson designed the Tudor Revival building. The building's design includes limestone trim and window hoods, a raised central courtyard, and gables projecting above the roofline, some of which are half-timbered. The design's use of copper is particularly distinctive; the courtyard entrance has copper-clad towers on either side, and it is also used for downspouts and flashing.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

The Building at 1316 Maple Avenue is a historic apartment building at 1316 Maple Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story cream brick building was built in 1928. Architect Edward M. Sieja designed the building in the Tudor Revival style. The building's design includes limestone quoins, projecting bays, casement windows, and a parapet at the roof. The building's lobby features wooden ceiling beams and a mosaic tile floor, giving it the appearance of a castle's great hall.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

Colonnade Court is a historic apartment building at the northwest corner of Main Street and Hinman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The four-story building was built in 1928–29. The building's first floor is used as commercial space, while the other three floors house apartments. Like many of Evanston's apartment buildings, the building has a "U" shape with a central courtyard; however, the courtyard is on the second floor to separate it from the commercial space. Architects Thielbar & Fugard designed the building to imitate an Italian Renaissance villa. The building's design includes a colonnade concealing its courtyard from the street, arched entrances, and a bracketed cornice.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.

The George B. Dryden House is a historic house located at 1314 Ridge Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The house was built in 1916 for George B. and Ellen A. Dryden. George was a successful Chicago businessman, while Ellen was the heiress of George Eastman; together, the couple was worth over $9 million. Architect George W. Maher designed the Georgian Revival house. While Maher was better known as a Prairie School architect, the Drydens requested a Georgian design inspired by Ellen's memories of Eastman's home. The three-story house features an entrance portico supported by four Corinthian columns and topped by a pediment. The house is faced with brick and features quoins at the corners and keystones above the windows. A wooden frieze and cornice run below the base of the roof, which begins below the third floor and features several projecting dormers.The house was added to the National Register of Historic Places on December 18, 1978.

Fountain Plaza Apartments is a historic apartment building at 830-856 Hinman Avenue in Evanston, Illinois. The three-story brick building was built in 1922. Architect John Nyden, who also designed multiple other apartment buildings in Evanston, designed the building in the Classical Revival style. The building's design includes Palladian doors with fanlights, limestone quoins, and a hip roof with parapets and a cornice. The central courtyard is both raised and nearly surrounded by the building, providing privacy despite the building's proximity to a commercial district.The building was added to the National Register of Historic Places on March 15, 1984.
