Stonesfield Common, Bottoms and Banks

Stonesfield is a village and civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) north of Witney in Oxfordshire, and about 10 miles (17 km) north-west of Oxford. The village is on the crest of an escarpment. The parish extends mostly north and north-east of the village, in which directions the land rises gently and then descends to the River Glyme at Glympton and Wootton about 3 miles (5 km) to the north-east. South of Stonesfield, below the escarpment, is the River Evenlode which touches the southern edge of the parish. At the centre of Stonesfield stands the 13th-century church of St James the Great as well as a Wesleyan chapel, Stonesfield Methodist Church, slightly further west. The village is known for Stonesfield slate, a form of Cotswold stone mined particularly as a roofing stone and also a rich source of fossils. The architecture in Stonesfield features many old Cotswold stone properties roofed with locally mined slate along with some late 20th-century buildings and several properties under construction. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,527.

Ramsden is a village and civil parish about 3+1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) north of Witney in West Oxfordshire. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 342.

North Leigh Roman Villa was a Roman courtyard villa in the Evenlode Valley about 0.5 miles (800 m) north of the hamlet of East End in North Leigh civil parish in Oxfordshire. It is a scheduled monument in the care of English Heritage and is open to the public.It was enlarged over time from the late 1st century AD to the early 5th century and eventually became a very large, luxurious villa rustica with 19 mosaic floors, and included a large agricultural estate with housing for farm workers and possibly slaves. Life there was very comfortable with access to the best local agricultural products and imported luxuries from sophisticated nearby towns such as Cirencester. It remains the only visible and visitable Roman building in Oxfordshire.

Sturt Copse is a 6.5-hectare (16-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest north-west of Oxford in Oxfordshire.This wood has many giant stools of coppiced of ash and wych elm trees, together with oaks, some of them pollarded. Most of the ground layer is dominated by dog's mercury, and there are uncommon plants such as yellow star-of-Bethlehem, Lathraea squamaria and hard shield-fern.

Cornbury and Wychwood is a civil parish in West Oxfordshire. It includes the country estate of Cornbury Park (Ordnance Survey grid reference SP350181) and the ancient former Royal Forest of Wychwood, which covers several square miles between Cornbury Park, the village of Leafield (grid reference SP3215) and the hamlet of Mount Skippett (SP352159).

Salt Way, Ditchley is a 2-hectare (4.9-acre) biological Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) east of Charlbury in Oxfordshire. It is also a Local Nature Reserve.This is a stretch of an ancient track together with its species-rich grass verges and hedges. It has been designated an SSSI because it has the largest known British colony of the very rare downy woundwort, with more than 100 seedlings and 60 flowering stems. The plant is associated with hedges along Roman roads and ancient tracks on calcareous soils, and Salt Way may date to the Roman period.

Combe is a village and civil parish about 5 miles (8 km) northeast of Witney in Oxfordshire. It is bounded to the south and southwest by the River Evenlode, to the northwest partly by the course of the Akeman Street Roman road and partly by a road parallel with it, and to the east by the boundary of Blenheim Great Park. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 768.

St Laurence's Church, Combe Longa is the Church of England parish church of Combe, Oxfordshire, England. The parish is part of the Benefice of Stonesfield with Combe Longa.The Wychwood Way long-distance footpath passes the church.

Pheleley Priory was a small 12th-century Benedictine monastic community located in a detached part of Bloxham, near Charlbury, in the English county of Oxfordshire. It was a cell of Eynsham Abbey that developed from a hermitage. It never had a priory church and only ever housed a few monks. It merged with Eynsham in 1145.

Wilcote is a hamlet about 3+1⁄2 miles (5.6 km) north of Witney in Oxfordshire, England. Wilcote was a hamlet of Cogges from at least the Middle Ages until the middle of the 19th century. It was then made a separate civil parish — one of the smallest in England. In 1932 Wilcote civil parish was absorbed into that of North Leigh.

North Leigh is a village and civil parish about 3 miles (5 km) northeast of Witney in Oxfordshire. The parish includes the hamlet of East End and since 1932 has also included the hamlet of Wilcote. The 2011 Census recorded the parish's population as 1,929.
